Hello! I'm a FTM learning about all of the joys of being pregnant. Right now I'm 6 weeks, 3 days according to my LMP with my first appointment scheduled with my doctor on 1/5/16. (I've never wanted to skip through the holidays so badly!!) This week I've experienced some pretty "fun" morning sickness. I don't actually throw up, but I spend a lot of time dry heaving and feeling nauseous in the morning usually right when I wake up. It is so hard going to work and no one know what's going on with me. I don't really want to share the news until we meet with the doctor and get through the first trimester.
In the meantime, if anyone has any advice on how they have coped with morning sickness, you will be my hero!
No matter how bad it gets, I keep telling myself that in the end, it's so worth it to have a beautiful, healthy baby enter our world. We are so overjoyed and can't wait!
Re: Oh hi, morning sickness!
Try keeping food on your night stand, don't let yourself get hungry, have several small snacks during the day, everything ginger or peppermint.
You can use the search function. This question is asked at least once every 2 days! You'll find more elaborate answers!
Sour fruit was my hero. Those little tiny clementine mandarin oranges? The really sour ones? I'd eat six or seven of those in a row and they didn't touch my sickness. That's me but it really helped. Might work for you? I also ate entire lemon wedges (skin and all) and that was divine.
Bananas for me were great. Some women hate them.
Any ideas? Even if I can deal with this, I feel terrible that I haven't been able to make my husband dinner in over a week.
