  • @DarthFuriosa my husband cannot wait to see it! We are headed to Disney now so we may see it there!

    Month/Cycle: 6/(2nd cycle ttcal)

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU: all the things

R/R/CS: I am so excited that my Christmas vacation starts today! I can't wait for some rest and great memories made with DH. A much needed getaway after our loss.

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you?
I would like to be a pastry chef at a fancy country club. I think I would love it. But my desire to work from home to raise my (future) children and see my DH as much as possible greatly out weighs my desire to have a job that will require a lot of my time.

@DarthFuriosa DH and I are going tonight! Very excited

    Month/Cycle: 4

    CD: 18

    WAYDTGKU: all the things.

R/R/CS: Not much to say today. Temp rose, which was expect. FF typical pinpoints this day as my O day, but I'm skeptical. We shall see! (Check out my chart if you'd like)

GTKY: Yea, I aspire to have my own classroom someday. What's stopping me? The teachers that won't retire

    WAYDTGKU: NTNP BD ED

R/R/CS: I'm new to this so I'm having anxiety about posting. Plus I can't figure out how to copy this on my iPad.

GTKY: I would like to eventually learn to drive. I never did because it scared me. Gave me horrible anxiety. I know that's bad I'm 23 and can't drive. Hopefully one day though.
  • ***TW idk what the hell is going on***

    Month/Cycle: 3/3 TTCAL

    CD: supposedly 12

    WAYDTGKU: ya know.

R/R/CS: okay so everyone here is going to think I'm bsc. But I don't know where I belong currently and frankly I'm a bit freaked out. I had a m/c in early October, and two normal cycles since. I had bfns every day leading to af and she arrived right on time and appeared normal. Well last night I wasn't feeling well and my sister suggested I may be pregnant. I shrugged the thought saying it wasn't possible. Then I had soul-crippling heartburn like the first go-around with pregnancy. So with logic in the back of my mind telling me I'm an idiot, I poas and there creeps the faintest of undeniable second lines. I'm terrified to test again today. There's no way I could possibly be that special of a snowflake. I refuse to believe it.

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you?

I aspired to be a nurse-midwife once, then I realized nursing school was hard.

R/R/CS: I think today is O day. Just bummed that we have no chance this month, but hoping to have results of DH's SA soon so trying to stay positive.

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you? I'd love to retire. What's stopping me? Bills.

I want to get my MA. I have a BA and went to get the MA after having a kid and although I held a 4.0 I quit. I had serious mom - guilt for being stuck with school work and not spending enough time with my son.
  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 14

WAYDTGKU:  PNV, BBT, OPKs, Trying to BD

R/R/CS: I so appreciate everyone's support yesterday! I feel terrible, DH is so worried about his performance anxiety.  At this point it doesn't really have anything to with trying to do ED or even TTC related, it's more just anxiety that it happened once so it can happen again.  I am trying to encourage him that after a break he'll be ready to go again, and reminding him that this is the only time that this has ever happened to him.  I hope he doesn't get too stuck in his head!  I have anxiety too, so in some ways I know what he's feeling.  We just need it to go right once and I think he'll get over it.

I really don't know what my temp is doing... it's still steady overall today but there was a slight dip on CD 12 and slight upward trend the past two days.  Really hoping it continues to go up on a slow rise, because that actually gives us ok timing.  If I put in a high temp tomorrow FF gives me CH for CD12 so FX!  I think I'm at a disadvantage because I didn't temp the beginning of the cycle (I had a fever).  I can kind of use last months temps as a guide, but honestly I was pretty bad about temping at really different times or after moving around a bit.

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you?  Ummm be a stay at home mom?  So I kind of need the kid first!  Although I don't think that will end up happening due to finances and my career, but hoping I can go part-time at some point.  Totally not related to TTC -  I would love to be certified in EMDR (a type of therapy- I'm a therapist) some day, I think it's awesome! What's stopping me is that I just finished grad school in July so I'm not very motivated to do anything focused with my free time right now.

  • @Kjcalloway how high did your HCG levels get before you miscarried? did your dr follow them to zero?

Well anyway. I WOULD take another test asap. I don't want to scare you BUT here's my story :

2 years ago I got pregnant in November. I went ALL of DECEMBER without ever knowing because I had what I thought was a normal period followed by some misc spotting. Fast Forward to JANUARY and one day the hunch hit me like a ton of bricks. I took a test and it was positive. Beta level of 3900 and the baby had a heartbeat :( but was in my left tube. I had emergency surgery and lost my tube.

So PLEASE get it checked out. I truly hope you are a special snowflayke instead of what happened to me.

R/R/CS: Well the very little fertile CM I had the last couple of days pretty much dried up yesterday. I am worried that this will be an anovulatory cycle. It's irrational. I'm sure my body is still trying to get on track from my MC seeing as this is my first cycle since. In the past year most of my cycles have been 24-26 days with one cycle after BC that was 36. I will have to wait it out and see. I'm sort of glad we are taking it easy this cycle otherwise I would be going crazy. (chart in siggy if you want to look)

On another note I had my first session with a counselor yesterday and even though it was more information gathering and paperwork I feel like it helps to just tell her everything.

GTKY: Honestly I not much. I guess maybe get to my goal weight. I was doing really well and only about 10 lbs away (had lost 30 lbs), but then I got pregnant and MC so now I'm about 20 lbs away. I plan on starting back with it again in the new year.

  • Month/Cycle: 3 or 4/1 but starting over with a blank slate after AF happens. I just finished my last Provera pill yesterday! Now just waiting for AF and I'll be a real person contributing to these threads!

    CD: starting over...

WAYDTGKU: Just finished Provera, taking PNV, OPKs, might try temping, but that's been covered in a previous post with my insomnia and shift work.

R/R/CS: My mom (who is a crazy person), has been dropping hints for a while about us having kids. Little things like "well the dogs are good practice!" She's been at it a couple years and I'm tired of it. She already has other grandkids and honestly my deep fear is that we won't be able to have our own. I just want her to stop with the hinting. That's my only rant/rave now.

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you? I want to go back to school for Zoology. I have to basically start over, but I'm okay with it. I'm stuck where I am because the money is good and I'm supporting my husband and myself on my salary. But once he graduates with his degree it's my turn for school!

R/R/CS:  So I wasn't able to get a new thermometer yesterday.  Went to the store, read about 15 packages and just couldn't decide on the best one.  I can't find the Mabis one, looks like Walmart Canada doesn't carry it.  I'm going to another store today.  As I expected with my shitty thermometer, my temp was weird again this morning.  The highest that it's ever been and last night is the only night in the last two weeks where I've actually slept through the entire night.  My chart looks crazy!  BUT on the plus side, I did finally get to spend some quality time with the DH so I'll just look on the bright side of things!  I also did an OPK yesterday for the first time just cause I got excited and I could see the lightest lightest lightest little line so hopefully the big O in the next couple of days!

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet?

Growing up I always wanted to be a police officer.  Took Criminal Justice in College but then when it came down to it, I didn't want to risk any long term impact that policing could potentially have on myself or my future family down the road.  I have so so so much respect for Police Officers and the fact that they have the balls and heart to deal with all of the things that we as "normal" people try to avoid.  I didn't think I was mentally and emotionally strong enough to deal with certain bad situations on a daily basis.  To have to look some of the worst human beings in the eye without wanted to just .....  Anyways!  So instead, I kind of fell into the Business Marketing route instead which has worked out quite well so far!  But I always still think about what would have been if I did pursue policing. <3

R/R/CS: I am on my third cycle after stopping BC and I *think* my cycle is getting shorter or at least ovulation might be approaching sooner.  My first cycle off BC I was not temping so I can't confirm, but based on CM, I am guessing I O'ed around CD 20 and my cycle was 33 days.  My second cycle I O'ed on CD 20 and my cycle was 31 days.  It seems like I am getting more fertile CM now on CD 14.  I guess I will wait and see!!!  I was on BC so long so it's hard to remember my cycles before BC, but I think I was probably around a 28 day cycle.  Anywho--not really a rant--just thinking out loud :)

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you?  I would LOVE to learn photography.  I am hoping to get a nice camera sometime soon and I would love to use it to capture all of the beauty in the world that I'm not currently capturing.  I want me children to have actual pictures to look back on, and I am afraid with using an iPhone that those pictures won't make it to be passed down.  Anyway, I would just love to take some time and learn how to use a nice camera and capture great pictures!

    Happy Friday!!!

R/R/CS:  I had some steady, low temps this week, but a sudden spike this morning. No +OPKs, but I had a faint line this morning with fmu, so I think I just missed it. I've been drinking a ton of water, so I think I was just diluting too much. I'm hoping this is a good sign. I'm trying to stay as positive as possible. I think I will be switching over to the TWW thread after this weekend. I'm so glad I've had TB and our little book club to keep me preoccupied, my (literally) OCD brain would not be able to focus on anything else if it weren't for this group. Still keeping my FX and my chin up.

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you?

I really want to get a second masters degree. I've been talking to DH and I think the fall is going to be my green light, whether we have a LO or not. I found a few grants that I can apply for and a possible program through my district that could mean money for tuition. I've been considering moving out of the classroom and into the guidance office. I do a lot of that kind of stuff with my ESL (English as a Second Language) students anyway. They are non-traditional students, so they are always asking about their credits to graduate and how to get into a good college. I helped start an ESL College Club for kids who need help with college applications and scholarships, and discovered my passion. I'm becoming much more interested in life skills and career-readiness with my kids. I think they're going to be okay after graduation.  Now if I could just get the funding together...

  • Good luck over in TWW @BerkeBaby!  I'll be lurking over there and keeping an eye!

@ashbear720 - Amazon does ship to Canada so I could do it that way but I'm so impatient!  If I can't find a decent one at a store around here today, then I'll order it online.

R/R/CS: This is only my second cycle TTC so I'm still learning my body and my body is still learning how to regulate its own hormones without Mirena.

Own a home. Hubby has some chronic health issues that prevent him from working full time so we're staying with my mom. It's bittersweet because hubby gets to be a SAHD and DD gets to see grandma all the time. Someday...

  • @smmatt08 - Thanks, but I travel without DH a decent amount, it doesn't really bother me as much any more (though I will miss him).  It's more just having to keep my FX for a cooperating O date!  It would be just my luck to have a shorter cycle this time around since we aren't together and couldn't BD due to illness before!

  • @smmatt08- I have been tracking CM, but it's all over the place anyway, so I haven't noticed too much of a difference.

@kfair001- Thanks! I don't know why, but I'm SUPER on edge about the TWW this cycle. I'm definitely not trying to start the SS...lol! It's way too early!

@Kjcalloway - FX for you! Sending lots of positive vibes your way!
  • Month/Cycle: 7/8

WAYDTGKU:  nothing right now. This month I'm taking a break from temping since we're traveling for 2 weeks. Added Coq10 to my vitamin regime and switching from astroglide TTC lube to PreSeed... Here's hoping!

R/R/CS:   DH had his SA on wednesday, so I'm praying everything turns out ok, or if not, that it's something easy to fix.

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you?
I would love compete in hunter jumping, not at any super high level, just train and be good enough to jump a novice course. What's stoping me? $$$ we don't have a home where we can keep a horse. Jumping lessons in my area are $40 per lesson, so it gets really expensive very quickly... Owning a horse costs even more, especially because I would need a calm, well trained horse to jump with, so those guys start at several thousand dollars. So instead, I do agility classes with my dog (he jumps the courses, but I still have to be fairly coordinated) those cost half as much, and he LOVES it! He lives for it. We're almost to the point of being able to compete at novice level, so that would be a fun goal :)

  • @ReesaAnne16 - Enjoy your travels!  FX for good SA results.

Also, TB is being a huge bitch right now.  At least 50% of the time, when I try to post, it gives me an error message.  Is this happening to anyone else?  Or is it free airport wireless that I should blame?

Travel and become one of those professional reviewers. I want to stay at those 4-5 star resorts/hotels and write reviews on my experiences and the different places I go. Currently budget... and I'm also not too sure how it would be possible for me and DH to actually make this work with where we are currently in our lives.

ETA @Kjcalloway fx for the best for you.

    Month/Cycle: 4/3

    CD: 38

    WAYDTGKU: sex, temping

R/R/CS: My temps have been consistently lower than usual, and paired with fertile CM I keep thinking I'm about to O. I'll take anything at this point. O, AF, whichever.

GTKY: Get back into running! My lofty slow goal is consistently running a sub-9min mile. I love running outside in the cold and we get that back next month. Farm country, water views, chilly air mmmm.

    WAYDTGKU: Temping, OPK, BD

R/R/CS: I think I'm about to O! LH wondfo strip was just as dark as the test side, going to confirm later today with the clearblue monitor (yes I'm crazy and do both, but the wondfos were super cheap in a pack of 50). I'm so glad that I started temping this month so that I can actually confirm the ovulation. Also, I went ahead and didn't use any ibuprofen this month like I have for pretty much all my life since having a menstrual cycle. And I've been keeping track of my LH surge for quite a few months and I always got the surge a couple of days later than this. Of course it might just be a complete coincidence.

GTKY: TTC aside, is there something you have aspired to do, but haven't yet? If so, what is currently stopping you? Running a marathon (most I've done is a half). What stopped me earlier this year was losing weight (ironically, exercising a lot did not help me lose the weight that I gained over the past few years, just eating less and exercising just once or twice a week), what's stopping me now is that I don't want something like running a lot of miles to interfere with TTC. I know that for some women it doesn't, but I just don't want to take any chances. I figure there will be plenty of time for that later on. In the meantime, I run about 2-3 times a week for about 3 miles.

WORF: I did not come here to admire the scenery.
DAX: If you say so. I guess we should just go home.
WORF: Well maybe. I would not be so hasty.
DAX: I take it the scenery has improved?
WORF: A few months ago, when I was commanding the Defiant on a scouting mission in the Gamma Quadrant, we encountered a protostar cluster, a swirling mass of colour set against a background of glowing clouds and burning sky. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, until now.
DAX: I've got to take you on vacation more often.
