We've had quite a few posts asking about different baby carriers so I know you're out there! Who else is baby wearing and loving it?! Show off your action shots and let us know what you use
I used a stretchy Boba wrap when LO was under 16lbs. Now I alternate between a Tula and a Sankura ring sling. I've also recently borrowed a woven wrap and have been experimenting with that!
First pic is from the morning after our first night home. Second pic is from Hershey Park last weekend and the other pic is my beautiful Tula I'm getting for Christmas! Can't wait!!
New to posting (I pretty much just lurk) but love this thread! This is of my LO and I taking her 4 legged brother to the beach! Hope the picture goes thru!
On a hike this week with the Bjorn my cousin gifted me. Wish I had pics of my others, I have a moby, tula, and ring sling. Will be flying Saturday with only carriers for baby boy, let's hope it goes as smoothly as our hike!
You guys make it look so easy! I bought a Moby wrap but I'm having such issues keeping the fabric flat to wrap it properly. Any tips? I still haven't managed to use it. Also, do you untie it completely if you get in the car for example? I see women wearing them in stores but I can't imagine trying to tie it from the beginning in the parking lot at each stop
@thinkpink101 I leave mine tied when I get in the car if I'm going multiple places but I do sometimes retie it at the next stop as it stretches out while she's in it. I do often tie it for the first time though in a parking lot unless I leave the house knowing I will be wearing her soon. Just be careful it's not in a puddle or anything. I watched some YouTube videos and practiced a few times and now it's really easy.
guerrinl Where did you get that hoodie for the carrier?! I'm trying to find one but can't seem to find any!!
Etsy! It was my present to myself before I had LO. The vendor is GoFutureWithLove they're based out of Germany. All custom made and super friendly. I'm in love with mine and use it a ton so I feel like it was money well spent. Oh and I used it with an Ergo carrier.
I'm so jealous of you all! I've given up on the idea of baby wearing. My son is just too big and I have so much back pain already. He hates the moby because he arms aren't free and that's the only one where it doesn't hurt my back I was going to ask for the ergo for Christmas but since he's already 18 1/2 lbs there's really no point because with the speed of how much he's growing, he's just going to grow out of it too soon
@xJKxOR I really love it. I have one made with sweatshirt material. I thought I wanted fleece but changed my mind and I'm glad I did! I live up north and it is starting to get pretty cold and snowy. I used it in milder temperatures and also at a very snowy event recently. We were both very warm with appropriate layers underneath. I also like that it is a 3 in 1 and I use it as just a regular jacket/hoodie quite a bit as well (it also has let out zips so it can be used as maternity.) Its super warm and comfy and I think definitely worth the money! I have used it with the k'tan and a bjorn. I prefer the k'tan with it. The back of the bjorn comes up so high that it interferes with the hood a bit. Picture is from the winter lights event we went to!
Love wearing this little guy around! I don't often do outside because it's still 85 degrees here in Florida, but it was great for our grocery shopping trip this morning
I think she was two weeks old in that picture. It was cold and it rained but we still wanted to go outside to walk the dog.
I also just purchased this sweatshirt because its getting colder and I dont want to break the bank on the Vivala... the $30 shipping was just too much for me . I hope the one I got is good!
I'm loving these posts!! I love baby wearing and so does my son! He doesn't like the car seat or stroller so baby wearing had been a lifesaver ❤️ I used the Ktan when he was a newborn, as well as the Infantino Mei Tei. Lately I've been using an Infantino 4 way (I think is the name??). I don't care for the Bjorn at all and don't use it. I'm shocked to find my two favorite carriers are by far the cheapest, both Infantinos from Amazon.
We have a moby and an ergo Ventus. Dad loves the ergo but we're on a break from the moby until he gets better upper body control. Jack likes being up and out in the world but he's still a little floppy haha. Also had to show off our Halloween costume again
Love my woven Tula. Its so soft but yet so stable and secure at the same time. I used my ring sling for like a month and then just fell in love with wrapping done with the sling forever.
This is from a couple months back, haven't taken any recent pics while wearing him...
@hollidar can I ask why you are no longer using the infantino mei tai?
Only bc his bottom isn't wide enough yet. At first I put him in like a frog (when he was 4-8 weeks) but he doesn't like being scrunched up like that anymore. As soon as he gets a little bigger, I'll be able to let his legs hang out both sides. So I definitely will use it again bc I really like it. I've gifted it to friends as well. The other Infantino I have, the 4 way actually has snaps where I could narrow the part for his bottom so it's great for this in between size. Hope that helps!
@hollidar I've tried the Sakura bloom classic sling and fell in love the second I put baby in it . I've asked for it for Christmas as its a bit pricey but so worth it.
I have the boba and Bjorn but prefer the sling Because of the ease of using and support
I have a ktan and a bjorn and I love them, but can you guys do housework while wearing them? I can't cook while wearing him because I'm scared of using the knife and cooking splatter, and doing laundry or using the dishwasher is a lot of bending over. I *love* wearing my boy but feel short on opportunities.

I feel this same way. I can fold and put away clothes or wear her while shopping for a bit, but otherwise I can't find a way to be productive. Sometimes I just wear her to calm her, but I sort of feel like I'm missing something. Is there a "trick" I'm missing?
@dmbfan46835 - You're right, they are expensive, but oh so delicious. Have you tried any yet aside from your Tula? I just bought my first woolie and it is amaaaaaazing!
And I have! I went to a baby wearing meeting in July with a girlfriend and tried a bunch of styles and patterns. I'm thinking a girasol size 6 next. So torn tho! Who'd have thought there were so many options?! I'm so glad there are groups to help with this sort of thing

My girl in the ergo after we put up the Christmas tree and decorated.. It's so comfortable!
This was awhile ago but in our lilebaby carrier
Snug in th k'tan when she was only a few weeks old! She has enough neck control now so I don't have to tuck her head in.
@apiland I know you weren't asking me but I thought I would post a picture of mine as well. I got it from an etsy shop called VivalaMamaBerlin.

When he was much younger we loved our ho
bs wrap, but these days our ring sling is our absolute favorite.
