Hi, we have been TTC #2 and this week I have this deep sensation that I know I am pregnant, but its way too early for a urine test. Yes, I know I really don't *know* until that double line, BUT, I feel so pregnant. Mainly, I EBF my 7 month old and there is never any pain ever, yet since Monday my nipples have been ON FIRE when I pump or BF. I also am extremely exhausted (more than my usual taking care of a 7 month old self). I also have had a few instances of nausea due to smell. Anyways, I just feel pregnant.
But, the rational part of me is like no way you would be feeling like this if your only two weeks pregnant. My last pregnancy I didn't know until my missed period, and I ended up already been 7 weeks pregnant, and then I never had any symptoms until the 2nd trimester,
Please help, is it even possible that I could be experiencing pregnancy symptoms this early? Thanks!
Re: 2nd Time Mom with Newbie Symptoms Questions
However, I have read that if you have symptoms then a urine test will come out positive. I tested last night, and it was negative, so I am probably over thinking it.
Dang my nips hurt though! I hope its not thrush...
Also one note, implantation occurs at 6-12 dpo, so 2w6d-3w5 days. Implantation does not occur at 4 weeks as a PP suggested.
Edited spelling
Every pregnancy is different, but the hormones that cause nausea and some of the other symptoms are the same hormones that would turn a pee stick positive. Take a test first thing in the morning. If it's negative, wait a day or two and test again.
Anyways, it doesn't matter. Most likely I am just over thinking it. I'll wait a couple of weeks and take another test.
But even assuming your LMP began the last few days of November or the first day of December, you maybe have already implanted if (1) you're an early ovulator and (2) you implanted on the early end of the range. But you don't know when you ovulated, right? At most you're at like CD20ish?
So you may be pregnant (or soon to be pregnant) or you may be getting new, fun, PMS symptoms. Either one could be true but you won't know until you take a test or AF shows up. Early pregnancy and PMS symptoms are indistinguishable until you take the test. And I can't tell you how many times I "felt pregnant" on my TTC journey a few days before AF started. Sorry.
Ok I gotcha! Even their book says 4 weeks but I take most of their information with a grain of salt anyway.
Good luck to you, but until you see two lines on a stick, we can't help you much.

2) birth and BF'ing will/can change your cycle. Your DD is only 7 months old.
3) if you don't know if/when you ovulated, you don't really know when your period is due.
4) if you say that your period is always due on the first, that means one month it is 28 days, then 30 or 31 and it changing depending on the month? Your body does not connect to Google Calendar. It is based off of hormones.
5) if what you are experiencing is pregnancy related, you would have a positive pregnancy test. It could be progesterone though.
Oh well, we are trying again this month. Fingers crossed.
This is why we discourage symptom spotting. Generally only leads to disappointment.
