Postpartum sex

How long did you ladies wait to have sex? & do you feel it's different now? DH & I waited a little over a week & at first it was really different but I feel like things are pretty much back to normal now. Which I am so thankful for considering my baby was stuck in my birthing canal for over 4 hours lol.

    We had sex during week 6 and it went well! A little uncomfortable at first but then was just like normal. But I did have a c section. We haven't had actual sex (just fooling around) since then because I am getting an IUD put in. You can't have it until 8 weeks postpartum and you can't have any unprotected sex for 2 weeks prior (because you need a negative pregnancy test at your appointment). I didn't want to risk pulling out as a method during that time. In fact I wasn't thrilled to risk that at 6 weeks but it was our date night alone with no baby and it was important to me that we took advantage for our first time again (even though I hadn't gotten back on birth control yet).

    I had a csection after 6 hours of pushing. We waited 6 weeks. At first inwas so nervous it was a little uncomfortable. But now, to be honest its physically better than before!! I dont know if being pregnant shifted things maybe.
    Emotionally its a different story. Im 30lbs away from where i want to be and my stomach looks like Freddy Krueger had a field day. So for now its lights off.

    We waited 8.5 weeks.. I had postpartum bleeding for 6 weeks then started my period a week later and had my pp checkup at 7.5 weeks.. I had a vaginal deliver and was nervous because I bled very bad right after I delivered my son and had to have stitches inside my vagina.. But once I got over being nervous it was great and the first time didn't hurt at all.
