@Ally989 Glad I'm not alone! I think you're right, there are ups and downs for sure. I felt like you the last two months, we were both really into it and I felt like it was bringing us closer. But this month has just been totally different. I know he was stressed about his SA and now nervous waiting for the results. I mention that we can still try this month since I haven't O'd yet and he says something like, well we don't have the results back and you haven't even had your testing. But I'm like, who cares?? If we find out nothing is wrong then there was no reason to not try this month. So that's annoying me. I think he is worried that he is the problem. And last night I said something in passing that I may not be pregnant for a year, and he kind of snapped, like why would I think that and why are we going to the RE then if it's going to take a year. I don't know, we are just stressed I guess.

Mind if I jump on the thermometer recommendations for a sec?
The Mabis is out of the question for me because Fahrenheit are weird and unintuitive, and I don't have it in me to (F - 32)*5/9 to fix it first thing in the morning.
@BerkeBaby How long have you had yours? It looks fantastic, but I'm a bit concerned about some of the reviews that say it gives up after a couple of months.
ETA: If anyone has recommendations for a good BBT that does Celsius, I will creepy Internet love you forever.
Alright, well, I arrived for my appointment for this lab work a little over 15 min early, and apparently they're running about 30 min behind, so I'm going to try to start this out by phone here.
@GreatGigInTheWomb - that "ladies shopping" trip sounds fun! Enjoy! @LakeR2014 - FX for temps confirming O soon! @blonde1817 - okay, deep breath! It'll be okay. DH and I had a similar moment last cycle, and it's really tough. I think the best you can do is sit down and talk it through with your DH because you're both probably having feeling right now that you need to work out together (even if you're not feelings talkers like DH and I are not). We actually stopped in the middle of an un-fun, stressful BD session last cycle to have that talk, and it helped a ton! @sldp123 - not at the moment, but see my response to blonde1817 above to see what happened last cycle. But I've definitely been sick for just over a week and I know we should have BDed this week just in case of early O, and I just haven't been able to "make" myself get it done! @mali0902 - FX that you've got everything nailed down! @severmilli12 - FX for O! I feel you on the crowds thing. We do midnight showings, and I feel like the crowd that goes to those adds to the experience, but otherwise I'm waiting at least two weeks to go see it for the big releases! @JustBored10 - FX that you O today and timing is good! @jparli - welcome back to WTO, and yay for chilling! . I'm not even trying CP because I know I'll suck at it, and I think I'm pretty bad at CM. today I was like, "holy fuck, EWCM?" Because I rarely get a bunch of it and especially not so early. Then I realized I've been taking Mucinex for like 8 or 9 days now, so I'm probably just going to have extra CM this month! Might as well just try to get used to tracking it though.

@DarthFuriosa - I have had it for 4 months. No issues. It lets you keep several days' worth of temps, and allows you to use Celsius...I think. Don't quote me on that. I really like it and think some people just get their panties in a twist. I'll keep you posted on how the next couple of months go, if you'd like the full review. I'll even check when I get home to see if I can switch it to Celsius.
On mobile, but I saw a lot of frustrations for posters today, so creepy Internet group hugs to everyone having a hard time.

Okay, this day has just been weird, but here’s the rest of my responses! (I am convinced that mobile didn’t show me all of them earlier, so I added a couple early ones that I think I might have missed before).
@kfair001 - unfortunately, I think yes, new thermometer. Yours was probably defective… or just poorly made and inaccurate. Sorry! Also, good call on getting the new thermometer and temping with both (but leaving your chart in the old one). I think that’s the most logical game plan.
@iceandsnowflakes29 - I hope acupuncture goes well tomorrow, and I’m sorry you’re feeling so frustrated! *hugs* (and if you want to feel better about your chart, check mine out!) I’m a longer cycle, multiple surge person too it seems, so I’m trying to tell myself not to get driven crazy by weird early chart temps (made worse by being sick). So yeah, just *hugs*.
@LINDSEYRVA - whoooo hoodoo for AF being gone and winter break!
@furbabymom2007 - So glad you had a good time in Australia! Sorry that your chart is paying the price! FX for CD26 as it looks like that might give you the best timing. Either way, hope your CH come soon and you feel better about the chart now as things even out here now that you’re done traveling. And I’m glad your chart could help you keep from flipping out.
@FerdieFox - “hopefully sex at some point this cycle” I’m totally with you on that. Though totally my fault and not DHs as I’ve been sick, and now DH is going to be out late seeing Star Wars and I’m leaving first thing in the AM for a pre-trip trip, so… We’re looking at CD20 probably being our first day of BD… whoops.
@PJpeppercorn - sorry you’re feeling discouraged. *hugs* Hope your temps get their act together soon!
@bcooke314 - FX that your data gets its act together. I see where FF is going with the CH and your temps. Is this your first time charting CM, or have you been doing it all along and have a noticeable pattern? (Even though you’re regular until you’re not and all that jazz).
@DCHokiemom - Glad you’re in a good mood! That’s always good to read!
@DarthFuriosa - I was pretty sure I knew your GTKY answer! I really hope you enjoy! (so far I’ve heard good things, but I just don’t care enough to take a ticket from someone who really wants to go to this showing that DH is going to… or to be the person going and coughing through the movie on opening night?! NO thank you!) I’ll probably get around to watching it eventually. Maybe next week with the ILs.
@shaami1986 - It is so tough not to stress! FX that you’re able to do so! And yay for AF being out the door.
@BerkeBaby - Yeah, I think my DH prefers being in the dark as well. I’ve offered to explain more after I gave him the five second overview or watch TGSR with him (because I haven’t watched it yet), and he wasn’t so interested in either. I’m pretty much okay with it though, especially now that I’m on here regularly. I feel weird about being okay with it, so I’m glad to see there’s someone else like me! FX for O soon and your Christmas BFP!
@ashbear720 - FX for O soon! LOL @ peeing on the Wondfo. I was all cocky this morning about peeing in the cup to do an OPK and how good I had gotten at peeing in cups. Then when I had to give a urine sample at the lab this morning… wasn’t a great job! LOL! There’s no way I could pee on a tiny Wondfo though. Either I’d pee on it too high or I’d drop the thing in the toilet, I think. Sorry you don’t get to see the movie tonight even though you want to.
@waitingforbabies - sorry, I have no clue about CP, but I hope you figure it out soon!
@LadyMillil - Are your allergies causing a stuffy nose that might be making you mouth breathe? And I’m so, so, so sorry that your sis is doing that to you. And congrats to your best friend, but I’m sure that’s a confusing and emotional thing for you as well. *hugs*
@maxinelund - Welcome, and I’m so so sorry for our loss! If you’ve been lurking and you like our style, then you’ll fit right in.
@CajunSnowWhite89 - FX for O soon! And good luck this weekend; I don’t think I can even imagine what working in one will be like this weekend.
@Ally989 - *hugs* That sounds really tough. One of my friends how hadn’t talked to me in months basically emailed me to be like, “I’m having a second” a couple weeks ago (and their first was an accident), and that was hard even though, yeah, I’m happy for her and she was already KTFU before I even started trying. Just difficult, and it seems like there are so many this time of year, aren’t there?! Anyway, like I said, *hugs*
@Smashbox29 - three of the same temps on a thermometer that goes down to the hundredths in six days is definitely suspicious. Sorry to say it!
@virginiaham - you must have been on the app, that was pretty much my reaction when I opened it this morning!
@mrsdee15 - FX for O soon. Keep HIO just in case, and I hope you’er feeling less discouraged soon. *hugs*
@babymish - FX that your temps get their act together!
@blonde1817 et al. DH has problems finishing if he isn't in the mood or we have sex too often (EOD might be pushing it). I try my best not to put pressure on him, but last month I had to. He wanted to try for ED and ended up failing. The day I was instructed by my RE to have sex I tried to initiate twice and he declined. I thought he'd get the idea the second time, but no. I finally had to tell him that we needed to have sex if he wanted a decent chance at a baby. Not romantic at all. The day before, we had sex but he didn't finish. I have the "if I were sexier" thoughts all the time. DH's drive took a nosedive over a year ago due to medication. I try to initiate and put lingerie on but usually I'm met with "I'm tired" or "another time." I try not to take it personally, but it's really hard not to.
@Smashbox29 You're going to have to wait it out to see what happens in the next few days. When in doubt, HIO.

@blonde1817 my husband gets psyched out like that, too. It's tough having to pretend to be chill about it when you're so anxious! Since you asked for advice, I would just say to try to let the crazy out a little bit here on TB, and just try to enjoy your time together. And don't let that mean little voice creep in and discourage you about your own shortcomings, real or perceived. Keep your chin up, girl!
@sldp123 sorry yall are feeling badly right now. I think all relationships have those lulls and frustrations, but in my very limited experience, TTC does add a layer of tension. I hope it'll lift soon!
@kfair001 I agree with other folks that your thermometer does sound wonky. Can you return it? TCOYF does say don't re-temp, so just temp once per day.
@iceandsnowflakes29 as a fellow fugly-ass charter, I wish you much luck. Totally agree with you on the WTO being harder.
@bcooke314 that's very similar to what my chart looked like last month, and I never figured out whether I ovulated or not. I have a feeling I know how you're feeling today. Creepy internet stranger hugs to you... hope that temp goes up tomorrow!
@ashbear720 oooh I'm going to have to get on that EPO train. FX it works for you!!
@waitingforbabies this is totally not helpful but I completely gave up on checking CP because it told me nothing. My feeling is HIO is pretty much always worth it, if for no other reason than the fun of it.
@LadyMillil that is horrible. Any way you can call her out on her awful behavior?
@MrsDho11 That's what I am thinking too! I got a peak reading on my digital OPK so I may need to buy a new thermometer (A mabis this time) and just go off my OPK for this cycle. We are NTNP but I wanted to confirm if I was Ovulating at least due to long cycles.
R/R/CS: I was just tracking my cycle until this month. Now I'm using OPK and I just can't tell if the line is dark enough! From now on I'm using digital, I need a yes or no!
GTKY: Will you or your SO be part of the millions going to see the Star Wars movie this weekend? If not, was there ever a movie you just HAD to see the weekend it came out? If so, which one?
There is a new Star Wars???? Lol jk. I have no clue what all movies are coming out I don't watch anything but Netflix lol

Thanks everyone for all of the support and feedback! I had a feeling we're not the only couple to experience this. This is our first month of actively TTC so I think we're still learning and adjusting. I decided to just not talk about it anymore to avoid any added stress and pressure. So thank god for you guys! As much as it sucks, forcing the issue isn't going to help, so I just have to wait until he feels like initiating. I don't want to have terrible timing for this month but I also don't want it to become a bigger issue where he starts anticipating problems all the time. Ugh.

WAYDTGKU: just started BBT, but waiting for AF to leave
R/R/CS: Hubby and I are trying for our third (two DD, 7, 2), and it's our first time actually ttc so this is a new experience for us. I've always just used a period tracker, and it's usually pretty accurate, so I was going to wait a couple months before temping. I knew since this was my first cycle off bc, I would be irregular. But since I have been lurking since before ttc, I started going crazy not knowing whether or not I was ovulating. Then my "expected AF" day came, and I decided I should be able to poas, which came back bfn. I was going to wait a week to test again, and then start temping once AF came. I started temping yesterday anyway, because I found myself poas again only four days "late". Temped this morning, had a slight dip, and thought "hmm, AF might come today!" ( This will probably be the only time ttc I'll be excited for AF.... Let me rephrase that, in my life lol). Anyways, I know I definitely don't have enough info to truly know, but voila, AF showed her ugly face. Anyways, I decided it was time to introduce myself, since I was excited about this small seeming success with temping, and DH didn't understand my excitement lol. I will try to offer as much support as I can, though the ladies here are so competent and got this under control! Also, I'm a lurker by nature. I look forward to actually getting to know you ladies! Also, creepy lurker hugs to those having a rough day ttc!

Ehh... Never been a star wars fan.. Not sure why. I think they're too long?
Actually, not a huge movie person. We'll go see something with favorite actors on opening weekend every once in awhile. I love Disney, though! We had to see Hotel Transylvania 2 the day it came out!
@MrsDho11 I have been charting CM all along (and for 3 months before TTC) and I have pretty much always had EWCM the day before or the day off O. Today I got CH, but they were put on a day with dry CM so I'm just super confused.
@MrsDho11 - I think DH is just as invested as you are, he just prefers the surprise. That's what my hubby keeps telling me. He likes the idea of how much closer we are getting by being more intimate, more regularly. And I think he's just soaking up the time we're spending together, just the two of us. I think he's really interested in being surprised, where I just really want to know what's going on IMMEDIATELY. The TWW is the worst part for me. FX for you, too!

@TreatYoSelf - no love its?! That’s rough!
@NamelessAria - FX that your DH isn’t too tired tonight!
TTC #2: April 2018 ~~ BFP: May 2018 ~~ EDD: January 2019
@Smashbox29 You're going to have to wait it out to see what happens in the next few days. When in doubt, HIO.

Nope. I'm not one to go the first weekend it comes out. I may have done that for HP, but it was most likely the second weekend.

@furbabymom2007 welcome back from your trip!
@MrsDho11 feel better soon!!
@waitingforbabies this is totally not helpful but I completely gave up on checking CP because it told me nothing. My feeling is HIO is pretty much always worth it, if for no other reason than the fun of it.
@LadyMillil that is horrible. Any way you can call her out on her awful behavior?
Welcome, @maxinelund !

@MrsDho11 That's what I am thinking too! I got a peak reading on my digital OPK so I may need to buy a new thermometer (A mabis this time) and just go off my OPK for this cycle. We are NTNP but I wanted to confirm if I was Ovulating at least due to long cycles.

Month/Cycle: 2/2 though first cycle was more NTNP since it was my first off the patch
CD: 1
GTKY: Will you or your SO be part of the millions going to see the Star Wars movie this weekend? If not, was there ever a movie you just HAD to see the weekend it came out? If so, which one?
Ehh... Never been a star wars fan.. Not sure why. I think they're too long?
Actually, not a huge movie person. We'll go see something with favorite actors on opening weekend every once in awhile. I love Disney, though! We had to see Hotel Transylvania 2 the day it came out!
