Clothing (tags/washing) multi question

Re: Clothing (tags/washing) multi question

  • I'm only washing 1 or 2 newborn outfits since there's a good chance that they won't fit. I'm washing the bigger clothes starting after christmas.

  • @VitaLuna our dryer sheets are the original scent (as well as our soap) so leaving it in the bag won't do anything to the room I'm in, it'll just make my clothes and bag smell like it.
My husband warned me of the same thing when he noticed them in our bags. I'll probably ask at my appointment Monday just to be 100% sure that it's okay.
(PS he also thought it was genius, I gave you full credit @egraves4)

Hahaha I hope I can! My hospital seems pretty lax though so I'm hoping it'll be okay. My birthing class instructor is a nurse at the hospital im giving birth at so I'll have to ask! I may just keep a couple in my bag and make sure to wash my robe with a ton of them. ;)

ETA: my mom is allergic to perfumes like I am, but worse, and she can't even deal with the smell without it bothering her breathing. Now I know how to get her out of the delivery room when it comes time to push... Totally kidding.

I laughed way too hard at this.
  • This thread is hilarious... I'm not really a fan of fake scents so I can't relate. This has been even more true during pregnancy. But I find it funny nonetheless.

With our first I used the Honest Company detergent to wash everything before baby was here. And then I used it for the first few months. But then we just started washing everything together anyway and since we use a free/clear detergent for ourselves it was much easier. I'm just washing everything I have in our "regular" detergent this time around. Especially since I still use it for DS. We usually get something whatever Free/Clear brand looks best at Costco when we're there. I like some better than others but tend to go by price because I can never remember which ones I like best when I'm there. :-)
