nauseaous at 25 weeks!

Anyone else feeling nauseaous at 25 weeks? I have noticed i feel it more when i am eating the last meal of the day and on top of that i just feel physically drained. Could it be fluctuating hormones or fluctuating sugar levels? I follow a strict diet due to acid reflux and on top of that stay away from sugar. Hoping it's just a phase

Re: nauseaous at 25 weeks!

  • I get nauseated sometimes but I think it's from reflux (even though I'm on meds). I was fully sick (multiple times a day) last pregnancy until 26 weeks. Hang in there!

  • I noticed around 24 weeks that I was starting to get little waves of nausea back in the Kate afternoons, generally an hour or two after dinner. I'm almost 27 weeks and I still get waves of nausea. But not nearly as bad as my MS, which went away around 14 weeks.
  • I was exactly the same as @lzgraggen. Original m/s left at 14 weeks, and through week 24 25 it came back, no vomiting but feeling a bit sick and a bit off again.
  • Also have some waves of nausea that I think are linked to my acid reflux. It's not as bad as first trimester nausea though so I guess there's an upside. Mine is towards the end of the night as well. Hang in there. Hormones = healthy baby so I'm focusing on the positive. ;)
  • I'm not really nauseous like I was from 'morning sickness' (thank God!!) however I constantly feel on the verge of throwing up stomach acid, and usually burp it up a few times a day which effectively kills my appetite for a while.  So for me it's a different feeling, but still gross.  I have heard that morning sickness can come back in the 3rd tri due to hormones shifting again but fortunately I haven't experienced that.  I am however noticing a huge increase in how tired I am.  I can still function better than first trimester but I really, really need 8-9 hrs of sleep at night, and no matter how much I get I'm totally exhausted by 8pm.
Can I ask what kind of diet you are on to help control your refulx?  I've been experiementing but haven't really found anything that works for me :(

  • With my second child I had really severe nausea towards end of pregnancy. It's hormones and baby crowding your stomache. Try eating more small meals throughout the day and keep your night meal really small. Also besides your acid reflux meds laying on your left side with head more evelated helps to. My doctor prescribes Zantac and sometimes I take tums to. Try avoiding anything spicy and acidic foods (citrus, tomatoe based products, fried foods, soda)
  • No nausea but loss of appetite and a weird heartburn like feeling.  My MS wasn't that bad during the first trimester either but I just couldn't really eat.  I think it went away around 14 weeks and now back in 25 weeks. I guess that just means I won't be stuffing my face during Christmas like I did during Thanksgiving.
  • Im still taking Diclegis every single day. If I forget to take it...you'll find me in bed, crying.
