Rants/Raves/Symptoms: It's not so much a "rave" as just kind of a funny story, but I'm a teacher (art - all grades). My coworkers all know and the students are starting to find out that I'm expecting. Yesterday, one of my 3rd grade classes heard the news and a couple girls spent the whole time just STARING at me, until one of them finally said, "You don't LOOK like you're going to have a baby." Hahaha... I guess I could have hidden it for a little longer after all!
What
are you doing to get ready for baby? We just moved into a bigger place (yay!) about 6 weeks ago. There are STILL moving boxes in the will-be nursery (boo!) - so I guess just trying to finish unpacking at this point.
Questions? I don't think so. Things are pretty uneventful, and I have no complaints about that!
GTKY:
What are some of your hobbies? I used to be a photographer for a living. Now that I don't do that as a primary source of income, it feels like a hobby again, and that's really nice.
Raves finally had a good Ultrasound this morning. Baby cooperated enough to get measurements. Things look good. Heartbeat was 152BPM. I'm so relieved. Now to look forward to anatomy scan not til the end of January or early February.
R/R/S: Nausea seems to appear only when my stomach is empty vs random surprise visits, so that's good. Very tired today. I was awake from 3-545, got hungry enough to get out of bed for cereal at 430, napped until 7 when I had to get up. Oof.
GTKY: Home improvement TV, yoga, reading, gardening, all things food.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Holy Crap- I'm exhausted. I think the exhaustion decided to wait until the second trimester for me. I'm also getting these spells of dizziness/shakiness/sweating- it's not my blood sugar because it hangs around when I eat. I'm guessing its either bp or anxiety. I thought the anxiety over MC would get better after the first trimester, but it's not! I had some spotting the other morning when I woke up, but thank God it went away after that one time. I hate it =( Reflux is making laying down a nightmare but I'll deal with it! I've also noticed my tummy is getting a lot of fine hairs on it. Too funny.
We found out on Friday, which was our 10 year anniversary, we are having a baby boy and all test results were normal. WOOO HOOOO.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Now that we know its a boy we are talking about names. After the new year I want to start cleaning out the room we will use as a nursery and shopping. So many cute clothes!!!!
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? We spend a lot of time on our boat. The great thing about Florida is we are usually on our boat the week of Christmas. I also love to read ( nonfiction).
I'm 15+6, doing nothing to get ready (we find out gender on Jan 6- woo hoo, so we'll kick into gear after that), and I love reading, cooking, baking, being outside doing anything and gardening/landscaping.
Can I check back in with a Rant? I can't even remember if I already ranted...
My stomach has felt SO BAD of all of today. I'm paranoid that it had something to do with the veggie sushi/seaweed salad I had for dinner... It just feels really distended (more than usual) and the nausea is off the charts. Yesterday, I really thought the nausea was making it's exit. I actually felt energized, hungry, and GOOD yesterday. What is this? 12.5 weeks and I'm feeling more like keeling over on my office floor than I have in weeks? I do feel like over the weekend my belly grew if that has anything to do with it (unlikely).
i only hope this is somehow a good sign and not anything to actually cause serious concern. I'll mention it to my doctor at tomorrow's appointment but she'll probably just put it down to "normal".

** end rant ** Thank you for listening.
Sadly, it IS normal for symptoms to come and go I'll be 16w tomorrow and STILL have nausea/bouts of puking. It went away at week 14 with my other two, so what's the deal?! Feel your pain!
@nicolesmith0624 thanks A bit embarrassed by my mega-rant (re-rant) but I had to vent. It just went from being SO GOOD to SO BAD. With my daughter it stopped right around 13 weeks but, as you say, every time is different. Good luck.
