Let's hear 'em!!

Mine is the tech who was supposed to inspect our house for termites yesterday. We needed an inspection to satisfy a requirement for refinancing our mortgage through the Navy...should be simple enough!! I made the appointment, confirmed it over the phone with their office, received TWO email confirmations for the appointment, and we rearranged our scheduled to be ready and waiting at 8am yesterday. No tech. He finally calls at 9:45 (I am livid at this point) and says "Oh, sorry, I just got around to looking at the paperwork. I see that I was supposed to be there at 8am." Yeah Twatwaffle, you were. Then he says, "You're probably kind of upset with me right now." Kind of???? Yeah, fine, let's go with KIND OF. He offers to come out to the house anyway, at which point I already informed him that I had rearranged my entire day to accommodate him and now I needed to go to work (because unlike him, I actually like to show up to my job). So then he says "Well, how about we pick another day this week for me to come out?" Yeah no...how about instead, I hire a company that's actually reliable??? Then I hung up. Seriously...you had one job.

My TT is our neighbor at our apartment. She is a really nice lady but she walks up and down the stairs SO LOUD she stirs the dogs up and it is so annoying. They think someone is coming here and they go nuts barking and running to the door. I can't stand it.

My coworker. She is definitely NOT the brightest crayon in the box. Myself and the rest of my coworkers have to consistently tell her over and over the same information. For example... She took over my position (I moved to a better position) and so I made a "How to" binder with directions... FAQ... passwords... everything that she needs. Her favorite question is "Do you have the password for XYX?" I'll respond (every time): "Did you look in your binder?" and every time she'll respond, "Oh! Didn't even think to look." This conversation has happened at least 10 times since she started.

My favorite so far was technically yesterday... (Twatwaffle Monday?). She came into my office.

Coworker: "Hey my computer is down because I got a virus on my computer and I can't get into my email to reply to a message."

Me: "Okay."

Coworker: "Can you tell me what the email was?"

Me: "Did I send you the email?"

Coworker: "No... XYZ did."

Me: "Was I copied on this email?"

Coworker: "No. It was just sent to me."

Me: .............

Coworker: ..............

Me: "Well... I am not sure how else I'm supposed to help if I can't get into your email nor was I copied on this email chain."

My TT is the customer who came in with no appointment and was mad that she had to wait. She asked for a manager and when I informed her that I am the manager she became irate and told me I was too young and couldn't possibly have the knowledge or experience to manage a store... Excuse me?!! Who does she think she is? Luckily I'm in an amazing mood today and just laughed it off (not to her face bcuz that would be rude). She walked out, but you can't expect to show up with no appointment and get right in. Why are so many people feeling entitled these days like they are the only ones that matter?

A few today.. Me mainly - spilled tea over my desk, then coffee over myself later! Next up hubby who for some reason is talking to me like I am two years old today (or is it the hormones?) lastly the alarm company who keep insisting my cat keeps setting off house alarm even though it's been installed 18 months and no previous problems...

Dunno, maybe she has learned to walk up the walls?! Cat gif please anyone!!!

The store that allowed me to order something and then cancelled my order today bc they were actually out of stock, they just hadn't updated their site. I wouldn't typically care except it was literally the one gift I really wanted to give DH for Christmas. Then I thought I could order it later when it went back in stock and get it in time for his birthday in February. Nope. They don't expect to get more for 9 weeks. Hello Father's Day present.

On the plus side I did find one of his gifts last minute on Amazon with a $10 discount bc I have prime. So kinda makes up for it I guess.

Ordered my takeout craving, got back to the office, wrong order. MAJOR TW - however, after I ate, my baby kicked at least 10 ten times in a row. I understand the baby's anger and am totally glad that we are on the same page for TW Tuesday.

Whatever baby wants, baby gets. .. .

Today's TT is my aunt, who is also my coworker. She is 77 and very religious, and apparently there is a scientific rendering of what Jesus probably looked like that she finds unacceptable. She said that the image "looks like a terrorist" and there is no way that it is accurate because she once saw a rendering based off the shroud of Turin that looks completely different. I just don't get it. I'm not religious and I understand she was raised with the image of a white Jesus in her mind, but doesn't it make more sense that he would look like all the other people who come from that area? And why does it even matter?! UGH

If I didn't have a baby on the way I may have let my anger get the best of me. Like the more I thought about it the more angry I got. Mind you she is a grown adult woman. Who says that?! My dog who proceeded to wake up every hour of the night due to his obsession with a bone... that he buried in our backyard... that he thought something might TAKE. I thought only dogs on tv did that kind of stupid nonsense. Did I mention he is a French Bulldog aka NON-SPORTING breed who has an awful sense of smell?! Never again!

My sister calls me "fat pig" all the time, but for us it's kind of a perverse term of endearment. She actually embroidered me a matching set of hand towels as a wedding present. One says "FAT BITCH" and the other says "F--K YOU" (only, you know, actually spelled out) in cute pastel grandma-esque cross stitching with flowers all around.

I am guessing that's not quite what your co-worker was going for.

@Aquinna82 I am just like WTF?! We couldn't figure out why he kept getting up, then we take him out each time thinking he has to go, nope, he just needed to check on it...! Needless to say, the bone has been trashed lol. It's too early to be prepping me for hourly waking a with baby - I refuse to do it for a bone!! Dogs be cray.

My TT is a book lol. My H took an online class and rented a book from Amazon for the class. Now that it is due back in 4 days we can't find that damn thing anywhere. Its been in the same spot for like literally 2 months but now that its the deadline to send back we can't find it, UGH!

I'm more pissed off at myself that I didn't say anything after she said it except, "I'm pregnant I can eat if I want to" I really need to get better at being quick with comebacks and being a straight b. Her and I butt heads all the time so this was just icing on the cake. Did I mention I get my own office next month?! I can't get away from her fast enough.

These people who have gotten the names of real admin at our sheriff's dept and are calling residents in the area telling them they have to pay a fine for not showing up for jury duty. Well most are elderly people and we are getting calls that these people have given them anywhere from $1000 to one person gave them $50,000!!! We have these people calling crying bc they can't make their house bills etc bc they were threatened that they would go to jail. Breaks my heart (and yes in the back of my head I'm thinking what were you thinking?!)

A girl at work is due next month and has had a tough pregnancy, so some of us on my team decided to get her something off the registry. I put it all on my card and told everyone yesterday what they owe me ($10). I'm still waiting for 3 of the 5 girls to give me money... Even after I reminded them today. Twatfaffles!!! I need my money!

Today's twat waffles are some of the moms at the dance studio I work at. Ive grown up at this studio and have had no issues what so ever until today when I get to the studio to and I notice a group of (gossipy rude ass) moms sitting in a corner and staring at me at the desk the ENTIRE time I was working. When I would look up at them they'd look away and pretend they weren't talking about me. I almost got to the point where I was about to ask if they needed any help cause they kept staring. Maybe it's the hormones but it seriously rubbed me the wrong way and I'm still mad about it lol. Like I know they know just ask already so you can get on with your life

That pisses me off so much. There is a special place in hell for people who prey upon the elderly like that. I hope they are able to catch them and return the money, even though I'm sure that could take years, or not at all if they are in another country.

Late to the party, but my TW yesterday is the stomach bug I came down with. Vomiting 1 - 2 times per hour, and ended up having to go to the ER for two rounds of IVs (I was all set to go home after the first one when I threw up again, so had to stay for a second one. Super awesome.)

I know it is not Wednesday, but this has been going on since yesterday. The mortgage payment is due on the 15th, so I tried to pay online. It kept saying the password was wrong for my account, so I tried MH's account. He, of course, has no idea what his password is so I tried like 500 different combinations of names, birthdays, etc. And then I hit the "Forgot Password" button, but nothing happened. Didn't send any code or anything. I did this,oh, 57 times. I tried calling and after about 1 1/2 hours navigating the stupid system and screaming "REPRESENTATIVE" at the top of my lungs, I collapsed into a ball of tears and anger. MH sent me to bed with my son and we cuddled and watched the Charlie Brown Christmas Special and fell asleep by 8pm. MH promised he would handle it, but at 3am when I got up to pee, he was passed out on the couch. And no, the mortgage was not paid. The last time I paid over the phone, I started sobbing uncontrollably and I need to be at work so I can much more easily handle online transactions (hence my ability to Bump at work) vs. crying on the phone while kids pour into the office. So I am at it again, trying with all my might to give this company my money, and they just won't let me! Why is it so frickin hard to pay a bill?! Honestly, I would rather a little less security. If someone wants to hack my account and pay my mortgage for me, by all means, let them do it! GAHHHHH! Now, we are going to get smacked with a late fee and my already tanked credit score is going to just go further into the tubes. Blah! Ok, rant over.

@doozer1345 I hate that! What is wrong with people ? My grandparents had a scam similar to that and gave $2500 to these people and when they went to the bank to wire another $2500 the bank manager was called and told them it was a scam! Luckily she was kind enough to stop them from losing another large sum! They are both in their late 80's and people prey on that, disgusting!!!

@doozer1345 That's awful! Something similar happened to DH's grandparents about a year ago. A scammer called and told them that they were from the county jail, that DH's cousin (their granddaughter) had been arrested, and that if she didn't pay a $2,000.00 fine that very day she would be sentenced to 6 months in prison. They gave their credit card info, and paid the "fine." The cousin had been arrested for a DUI a few months earlier and was always having run-ins with law enforcement, so we assume they got her name from the public records and did a search for elderly relatives, knowing the story would be believable. The police tried to track the number but were never able to locate the scammers. I agree with @TheThornBird - there's a special place in hell for those people!

Exact same scam happened to my grandmother. They even had someone "playing the part" of my cousin. She couldn't tell it wasn't him because he sounded so upset. Luckily they were asking her to wire money ($10,000!!!) and she said she didn't know how to do that and why didn't he just call his parents? She honestly didn't know how to wire money, thank goodness.
