My daughter is 4 months old and has had a snotty nose and slight cough the past few days. Due to the stuffy nose she hasn't been taking very many bottles so it's had me worried. She has been continuing to have wet and dirty diapers though. However, tonight there was a very slight pinkish spot in her diaper. Has this happened to anyone else?
I did just stop breastfeeding and switch to formula about a week and a half ago, could it be blood from hormones adjusting just like after she was born? Or could it be a kidney issue since she hasn't been eating her normal amount? I appreciate any help!
I would definately talk to your Pediatrician. My understanding is that pink vaginal discharge is from hormones baby gets while in utero, not through breast milk. She could have a bladder infection that could be causing this pink tinge.
Took her to pedi this morning. Turns out she has RSV ): they said the pink was crystals because her urine was concentrated from the low food/fluid intake
