  • Month/Cycle: 5/3

    CD/DPO: 40/9

    Timing: -5,-3,+1

Testing: I'm going to try and hold out for 13DPO.

R/R/CS: it's Monday which I'm not really feeling, but I have a short week cuz I have Wednesday off for my sons Christmas concert. I've been grilling him to try and find out what songs they'll be singing. So far, I think they are singing "Must be Santa."

Testing: 3rd day of BFN duh. Maybe I should have waited until 13DPO. Can't stop now!

R/R/CS: I'm trying to remember all the good reasons for a BFN this cycle (mostly to do with drinking over xmas and the laser eye surgery booked in January that I would have to cancel) but I'm still really totally wanting to sacrifice all those things for a BFP :( I'm dealing with typical PMS today, nothing unusual which makes me think it's not our cycle.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself? I've gone skydiving twice! And moved to Australia in my early 20's to exercise racehorses :) I'm a lot more tame in my late 20's

**CS PLEASE.** Tell me I'm being crazy about my tiny temp drop! Talk me out of the crazy!

@Megzb510 That is crazy! Did the lightening set fire to the house? So scary!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2 (1 TTCAL)

    CD/DPO: 23/8

    Timing: O

Testing: Friday at 12 DPO. I only have one FRER so I'm trying to keep myself from buying Wal-Mart cheapies and peeing on all of them at 10 DPO.

R/R/CS: My temp took a little dip this morning. The rational part of my brain is telling me that it means nothing, as tiny as it was and that I was sleeping next to an open window. The arguably bigger, irrational part of my brain is feeling down about it. Also, I'm feeling stressed about money. Maybe it's the holidays and a little progesterone induced anxiety. We have some credit card debt that we originally thought we would have paid off in the first year of our marriage and that we could start TTC after our anniversary debt free. Well, that was a lofty dream. We did make a dent and get it paid down a little bit no where near paid off. We're both in our 30's and aren't getting any younger and we just decided that if we waited to TTC until we were debt free, we'd never have kids and that when we do get our sticky bean, we'll make some cuts and figure it out. It is what it is, I just wish we had been smarter about money a few years ago.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself? Once upon a time, I was an opera singer. I'm very much out of practice now and don't do much singing anymore. As it turns out, being an opera singer doesn't pay very well. Who knew?

    **TW: Loss mentioned**

@Bubblegum5586 Not to be a Debbie Downer but when I got my BFP last cycle, I didn't tell my mom because I wanted to do a big Christmas day reveal. When I started bleeding and knew I was losing it, I really regretted that I hadn't told her. My thought is, whoever I tell really early are going to be the people I would turn to if something were to go wrong. I say tell her.

  • @Megzb150 You are just a day ahead of me and looks like we'll be testing on the same day!

    Month/Cycle: 3/2

    CD/DPO: 39/8

    Timing: Decent

    Testing: DPO12 on Friday

    R/R/CS: I am on a Christmas high.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself? I am a 1.5 generation immigrant and learned English by watching Full House and daytime talk shows.
  • @Megzb510 That's crazy!! Were you in the house when it was struck?

@MrsCorker how interesting! Do you think you'll get back into performing ever?

    Month/Cycle: 6/5

    CD/DPO: 18/2* (*I think...)

Timing: If I'm right on O day, -5, -3, -1. If not exactly correct then we should still have some decent timing in there..

Testing: No plans this month. AF should be due on Christmas day so possibly that morning depending how I'm feeling

R/R/CS: Ok I don't want this to come off as totally bitchy, but this is the only place I can get this out. This weekend, DH and I went to visit a friend of his. Pretty  much as soon as we walked in the door, she threw a sonogram picture at us, and *Surprise!!!* She's pregnant. She proceeded to tell us all about how they weren't even trying and blah blah blah, and I was just there trying to keep the tears inside of my skull and a smile on my face for her. I'm happy for her, I really am, it was just SO unexpected in that moment, since they weren't even trying and for all we knew, they weren't going to start trying for a while. Never mind the fact that she then spent the entire rest of the weekend complaining non stop about her pregnancy symptoms even though she knows that we've been trying for a little while now. The worst was when we talked about us TTC (kind of as a nudge to maybe get her to stop complaining about it constantly), and she came back with "We'll have our babies together!" To which I gave a very smiley "Not quite.." Argh. I am not a really jealous person and I am happy for them for sure, this one just hit hard and DH doesn't really get why it made me sad.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself? Hmmm... I had "Forest Gump" braces on my legs when I was a baby and toddler, and still have the scars to prove it! My mom tells me I used to army crawl around the house, dragging my little braced legs behind me. Don't worry, these scarred up legs are fully functional and athletic as an adult :)

  • Month/Cycle: 2/1

CD/DPO: 41/15 (Give or take a few days)

    Timing: ?

Testing: Had tested at 9, 10, and 12 DPO, all BFN's. Have not tested since. At this point I'm just waiting for the red witch to show up, but so far no signs of her.

R/R/CS: It's rainy and dark and Monday morning.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself? Earlier this year I took my first ever hot air balloon ride! It was a surprise for DH's 30th birthday.

@SLou24 I keep saying that I'll get back to it eventually but it's been about a decade and I haven't yet. It's kind of a sore spot. I miss it terribly but I'm very "all or nothing" and I just don't have it in me to dedicate my whole life to it again. It's like training for an olympic sport. It's expensive (voice lessons, accompanists, traveling for auditions, application fees for festivals, etc.) and I just don't have it in me. That being said, I could just be a normal person and do it as a hobby. Take a lesson once a month or so and sing on the side for fun. I think when I get my BFP, I will want to start singing again because I'll want my nugget to hear my voice and I think I'll want to set a good example of doing what you love no matter the circumstances.

ETA: That really sucks about your H's friend. It would have hit me hard too.

R/R/CS: here they come. AF symptoms. I have two temp drops the past two days. But I didn't temp this morning. The temp dips were way early! I don't get it. AF is expected within the next two days. I really wanted a Christmas reveal to H.

  • @SLou24 -yep! It was like a loud cracking sound and every electronic in the house popped or made a loud beep sound before it broke. Nothing electronic worked afterwards. My parents waited for the insurance money before replacing the TVs so it was a summer without TV, which was pretty rough.

@anj27 - Fx for us both! Long cycles suck, don't they?

@MRSCORKER - I feel you about trying to be debt free. It's easy to rack up the debt but so hard to bring it down.

R/R/CS: We have our office Christmas party this Friday.  As much as I'd LOVE a BFP, I'm afraid of how I'm going to get out of drinking without being called out.  I have some VERY nosey co-workers...

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself?  I grew up a military brat and have never lived in any one place for more than 4 years.  DH and I moved into our house together just over 5 years ago, and I'm getting a little stir crazy just thinking about it.  It seems so long to me!
  • Month/Cycle: 3/2 after progesterone to jump start cycle in September.

    CD/DPO: 24/3 or 4

    Timing: 0,1 or -1,0

Testing: eh. Tbd. Trying not to stress or SS like I did my first TWW. Especially since I don't think I ovulated that time, then had a 46 day cycle. I hope to wait til Christmas when I'll be 14/15 DPO. If I'm really strong I'll wait til Dec 27 when we get back from my in-laws.

R/R/CS: I'm tip-toeing into the TWW. FF hasn't given me crosshairs but I got a positive OPK on Thursday (CD 20), coupled with EWCM and a bit of spotting, which I'm chalking up to ovulation spotting. My chart sucks cause I wake up at different times so I'm basing this off multiple secondary signs.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself?
About 4 years ago DH and I moved to the Middle East. I never thought we would live here this long and we just made the decision to stay another year.
  • @MRSCORKER  & @HeyBooHey Yes you are both totally right. Besides my H my mom is my #1 person I go to for everything. She doesn't even know we are trying yet but knows we plan to soon so I hope this would be an awesome sruprise (I mean if I get a BFP... trying not to jump the gun yet)

@MRSCORKER - I think that temp drop is very minor... do past charts show some ups an downs during your TWW? I also totally hear you on wanting to be debt free. We are making some dents but no where near where I thought we'd be at this point!

SLou24 Ugh what an annoying story! At first I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't know you guys were trying, but halfway through you mentioned she did... So rude!!!

    @AmMcc12  Congrats!!

@Tippy05 I was thinking about drinking over the holidays too. Mostly Christmas Eve at H's extended family. I have this plan to bring the Coors light Aluminium bottles that have the screw off top and filling one or 2 ahead of time with sparking apple cider! Then once I am there I will drink those and no one is the wiser! (this plan works well because A - we are inc harge of bringing beer and B - because of recent stomach issues I can't drink most beers but Coors Light seems to be ok!)

    Month/Cycle: 7/6

    CD/DPO: 15/1

Timing: -5, -2, O    I'm kind of bummed about our timing.  DH got hit with a stomach bug on -1 and we had planned to HIO that day too.  (But obviously that didn't work out!).  I just keep telling myself that EOD is better for us since DH has mild count/morphology issues.  But FF only gave us "good" timing instead of "high" when I entered -1 in my chart.

    Testing:  9 or 10dpo

R/R/CS:  I don't think I'm going to test out my trigger this time.  The last two cycles it didn't really help and I just ended up wasting a bunch of tests.  It seems like my trigger is hanging around much longer than it did when trying for babies #1 and #2.  In the past it would be gone by 8 or 9dpo and I would be sure that a line after that point was a real BFP.  But the last two cycles I was getting lines until 12dpo and obsessing if the lines were getting darker (which they weren't).  So I plan to start at 9dpo and just hope the lines get darker this time.  I so hope this cycle is it.  We will be moving on to IUI next cycle and I'd rather not have to spend that money.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself?  Hmmm, I'm not very interesting lol.  The only thing I can think of is that I was in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in college (with our marching band).

@MRSCORKER - I totally studied opera in college and still sing regularly! I should have known you were a singer. What part? I used to be a full soprano, but have since realized my voice is getting lower (as they tend to do when you get older), so now I mostly sing mezzo. If it's the same for you, I will really freak out. This is getting weird. lol!
  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 22/5

    Timing: -4,-2,0

Testing: keeping an eye on my temps before I decide. Would like to wait until AF, but might have to test Saturday before a Christmas party.

R/R/CS: holy temp drop. Still above cover, but don't really understand such a big dip at 5 dpo. Possibly my last two temps were higher because of alcohol over the weekend. Only a few more temps will tell. I don't know why, but this TWW feels especially brutal and it's turning me into such a bitch. Poor DH can't do anything right, and my patience with DD has shortened as well. I don't know why, but I already feel like I'm already staring month 4 in the face. Just in a funk. I think I might have to find a part time job or do another play if we aren't successful this month because staying home with a toddler isn't giving me much to distract myself from TTC.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself? I won two "best actress" awards this past year for local productions I was in. Also I have six brothers and sisters.

Haha! Obviously you're a singer too! I think we're long lost twins. I'm a soprano and while a could easily sing mezzo, I think it's more because my range is suffering as I fall further out of practice. I always had a heavier voice and was told by several teachers that I could be a dramatic soprano later in life if I kept at it.

ETA: Where did you go to school?

Ok, @MRSCORKER and @BerkeBaby, this is crazy... My college degree is in Vocal Performance! I'm light lyric/coloratura wannabe, and used to sing a lot of opera. Now I've found my niche in Early Music, and vocal chamber music, which I LOVE!

    ETA: Congrats, @AmMcc12!

    CD/DPO: 17/6

    Timing: -1, 0

    Testing: probably tomorrow at 7dpo.

R/R/CS: I'm not feeling at all confident about this cycle, so I kind of feel like I'm going through the motions. I don't know. Meh.

GTKY: What is a unique/interesting/crazy fun fact about yourself? I can't think of anything. I must be the most boring person alive. That's interesting, right?

So funny! You are the opposite of me. I CAN'T STAND singing early music or anything that has even a passage that could be remotely considered coloratura!  Handel especially gives me a headache. My voice is just too heavy to sing that high and fast! Puccini/Verdi is my sweet spot.

LOL. I'm jealous. You get all the pretty arias, and I'm stuck with all the annoying twitter-bitch rep! Had to sing 'Rejoice Greatly' THRICE this weekend. Barf.

  • @MRSCORKER - I went to a small college in the middle of Nebraska, Hastings College. The music department was one of the strongest in the state. I really do think we are long lost twins, as Puccini is my spirit animal. lol! It's been a long time, but I've always loved Madame Butterfly and La Boheme. I had planned on being a music education and vocal performance and pedagogy major, but rediscovered my love of literature and theatre and switched to English lit and theatre arts.

@alicedavid2013 - I tip my hat to you! Early Music is not my niche at all. :)
  • @MRSCORKER - I also got into Hastings College by singing "O Mio Babbino Caro" from "Gianni Schicchi." It's so easy, but one of my absolute favorites.

I went back for my Masters in Music Ed and then realized during my internship that I really hate teaching. lol

Classic rep for all high school singers. I think every audition panel at every school in the world expects to hear this one several times a day!
