Sorry about your BFN @Drove2u. FX that this is your cycle!!!
Had my baseline this morning. Seems I developed a cyst on one of my ovaries. Will find out when my blood results come back later today whether the cyst is producing estrogen. If so, I'll have to skip this cycle. Ugh.
The good news is that DH is being much less doomsdayish about this whole thing, and much more willing to keep an open mind. He said he'd come with me to a consultation with our RE to discuss our options if this next IUI doesn't work. So at least I'm feeling less like this is our very last chance, that maybe he'd be open to a more aggressive approach if he understands it better.... and that alone helps.
I have an appointment Saturday to see how I responded to the Letrozole. I still feel completely normal. I was expecting dull aches from growing follicles. Nothing.

Totally broke down during my baseline today. Ha! But I'm just fed up. But I had 18 eggs so hopefully some mature. Going for a hysteroscopy Tuesday now.
@Drove2u I am sorry for the break down, was everything okay with the baseline ? Why do you need to have the hysteroscopy ? I hope you are feeling better now and get good results with your test. We were at the Dr office yesterday and we had such a long conversation about all the options that we could take from now on . And I just started to laugh at a point, I could not stop. I know I looked so weird but everything sounded so crazy and meaningless. At the end , we will try 2 more IUI s with letrozole after my AF. Probably towards the end of December.
GL to all the ladies here with their IUI cycles this month.
Yes everything went great with the baseline. Hysteroscopy is a just in case. Just to see if anything is wrong with my uterus. The re doesn't suspect anything wrong but he just wants to make sure. I'm happy to get it done to at least rule out some things. No PCOS here or anything else wrong so no idea why I can't get pregnant.
I'm getting a little discouraged This is our 5th iui, the previous 4 did not work even though hubby's levels are through the roof! Post wash was 76 million and above average on morphology and motility. I'm on 10mg of Femara days 3-5 and my progesterone levels are just over 10. How many iui's have you all tried before you went to the next step?
Ladies, i know this is out of left field but i am on a crowded bus and am having the worst hot flash ever!! My bus buddy confirmed that its only me because shes freezing...FML i hate Clomid!
Thanks, I'm done with my rant :-D

@vnegron87 just know that once you stop taking it it'll go away. I had some of that too on clomid. Now on letrazole and no side effects. Yes hopefully this will be the last cycle. Have to get through a hysteroscopy first. Starting letrazole tomorrow.
@Drove2u I'm still new at this. How do you know how many eggs you had? My RE only tells me the follicles.
That being said, I went for my mid-cycle u/s and my numbers improved from last time. One follicle was 21 and the other was 25 plus my E2 was higher. I trigger tonight and go Monday for my IUI.
I trigger tomorrow because my two follicles are 17.9 and 15.6. My IUI is scheduled for Tuesday. They aren't the best numbers but I'm not going to beat myself up about it.
@GWest13 I'm doing my fourth IUI this month. If it doesn't work, we're going to move to ivf. I would've started ivf after three, but I'm waiting for new insurance to kick in in the new year.
@amandaleigh2181 normally he doesn't tell me each time I go. But since I had my little breakdown in the office he sat me down and went over all my numbers. And said on average in producing 18-20 eggs each month.
Hello ladies. I am going to jump in on this board. I had my last IUI at the end of Nov and officially have my BFN. Hoping AF shows in the next couple days so we can get going! FX to everyone here that this is your month!

@kh87 I go in to get follies checked on the 18th too! And @Drove2u looks like you won't be but a few days behind! I'm glad to have a few others in my 2ww over the holidays. This will be my 3rd iui using letrazol and ovidrel. No one is sure why we can't get pregnant... DH is normal and although I was told my AMH level was low last year no one has suggested further testing. I hope this is our month ladies!! Fx to everyone
@ vnegron87 I didn't have the hot flashes with clomid but it gave me the worst headaches ever!!! I'm on femara now with no real side effects.
@GWest13 hang in there! I've wondered this same thing... I'm not sure how many more "tries" we will have with iui before my RE wants to do ivf. Is it an option for you? I've heard it's very expensive and both myself and DH are self employed so our insurance won't cover it. I hope #5 is your lucky number!
Had my follies checked this morning and have one 12. Was hoping for more than one but I'll take it! Continuing Follistim for the next three days and going back Thursday 12/17 to see what's going on.
@PCOSbaby I have gone back to work. It really is a quick and painless procedure. You should be just fine. I had some minor cramping, but nothing too terrible.

@PCOSbaby - You should be just fine going back to work after. Just don't do any new exercises that your body isn't already used to doing that day The only thing I really felt after my IUI was a heavy feeling in my gut for a few days, but nothing major. Good luck!

Hi!! We had our first IUI on 12/4, we are now waiting the tww..... It is taking forever, time is dragging, I cannot concentrate at work, I keep getting side tracked with baby thought....needless to say I am a hot mess!
@kh87 I took femara for 5 days and I also had so dizziness, however it wasn't too bad mostly when I got up quickly or if I felt overheated. I also have PCOS but do not have any blood pressure issues.
I wish everyone lots and lots of baby luck this month!!
@PCOSbaby- I go back to work right after as well. In fact last month I had a seminar and I ducked out for an hour did the IUI and came back to it. My RE just suggests no exercise the day of the IUI after the procedure but can resume the next day.

I officially joined those of you in the 2ww today. My IUI was easier than last time, I didn't feel a thing. At least if I have to keep going through treatments, I know what to expect and it isn't awful.
Today's u/s showed a 19 on the right and 17 on the left. Will trigger tonight and IUI tomorrow and Thursday. Here's to the TWW! GL and FX for everyone else who is in it with me or soon to be!
Doc said that if this cycle doesn't work we can start 150 Clomid or letrozole is an option too. I'm pushing for letrozole because even though I have PCOS and i've had follicles growing (very slowly) I also have been relatively regular lately (33-35 day cycles prior to meds) so I'm not sure if Clomid really is helping or if its just my nature cycle maturing the follies. What are your thoughts?
Edited b/c prematurely posted before finishing my thoughts lol.

@vnegron87 It is great that you have two follies growing ! I do not have any concrete thoughts on clomid-letrozole issue, but you might try letrozole if you are having bad side effects with clomid. My RE thinks that letrozole workes better with PCOS patients. But on the other hand, if a medication works they do not want to switch I think. I hope that this is your cycle and you will not need to worry about any of this ! I will start my new medicated cycle in January but I am checking here to see how you guys are doing I love this forum better than my FB for sure
Femara worked for me, and if you're willing, the injectables worked too. Ask your doctor about dexamethasone. It can help people have a better response to Clomid. It's a light steroid that lowers androgens. I started taking it this past month, and i've gotten good results. Good luck!
Went for my follicle scan today at CD 12. I have a 19mm on right side and 13 mm on left side. I got a call back with my hormone levels and they want to see me back tomorrow for another scan and bloodwork. Depending on what they see tomorrow, the trigger could be tomorrow night!
