Our little girl will either be Rydell or Mallory. Both have special meanings to us. Rydell because we met doing theatre together in high school. That's the name I'm leaning towards but DH is pretty attached to Mallory. Which we picked because we honeymooned on Key West and fe in love with the name at Mallory square. But reguardless to whichever first name we pick, her middle name will be Beth. Which is my cousin's name.
We finally chose tonight! Caleb Thomas. . Thomas is my dads name. I started crying when we finally agreed. Makes it just feel more real. Ah, pregnancy hormones...
Before this LO was conceived we had decided on Hannah or Caleb. We had back up names of Olivia and Noah. When we got pregnant last spring, I basically told DH one day that I liked Olivia and Noah better the other two names had lost a bit of lustre for me and I had two amazing kids in my class named Olivia and Noah and it made me love both names a lot more. DH was on board because he liked all 4.
So since this one is a little girl, we are set on Olivia. We have called her that since we read the word "female" on our little paper. She will be Olivia Nicole. Because in my family the eldest daughter's middle name is her moms first name. As an eldest daughter I felt the desire to continue this tradition. DH does not have any family naming traditions.
I know that Olivia is super popular, but that wasn't why we liked it, so we are not worried about it, as a teacher I like names that are classic, easy to read, say and spell. So Olivia works. I always liked meeting other Nicole's when I was little.
We are stuck between two first names: Lily and Violet. Her middle name will be Evelyn after my Mother who passed away a few years ago. I would enjoy your input

Oliver Finn ♡ It has been difficult finding a name, I like unique and edgy names, and he is more traditional so this was only decided on a few days ago lol
We are stuck between a few names, my husband is really into Greek gods so we looked at a lot of those. Our favorites so far are; Atlas, Odin, Finnegan.. Any suggestions or input on any names is appreciated!
We are down to 4 names lol .. 5 weeks to go & we have decided we are waiting until we meet here, which sucks a little cus I wish I could put her name in her room .. And wanted to get the same embroided diaper bag I got her brother 3 years ago, but with her name lol! Amoret Elizabeth Brielle Elizabeth Madelynn Elizabeth Mila Elizabeth Taking votes lol!

I have a Lillian so I'm partial to Lilly Except I mostly call her by her full name and DH calls her Lilly

I love both of these names so much that I considered using one for my little girl! But I'm set on her middle name being Rose (since my moms name is Rosemary) and I didn't want her name to be too flowery haha. I like Violet for yours because I think it sounds better with Evelyn, but then again I don't know your last name!

Omg. This is scary. @nickicb7 We picked out the same exact names. Except Caleb would be spelled with a K since my side of the family are all "K's".
We picked out Hannah or Olivia if it was a girl... In which it is. DH ultimately made the decision to go with Olivia since he liked it slightly better than Hannah and he let me pick out the middle name which I *knew* was going to be Nicole. Hannah Nicole sounds like Anna Nicole Smith. Lol. Little did I know Olivia is his favorite aunt's middle name and that happens to be his dad's twin as well... So it means a lot to him. His mom had given him up to his dad when he was real young... So he was raised by his dad his whole life just about.
If it was a boy it was definitely going to be Kaleb or Logan.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think I've decided on Abigail Rose. I think the nickname Abby is so cute!
Too funny. I almost gave my Lillian the middle name of Rose. It was both my grandmothers and my moms middle name but I also thought it would be too flowery. Even though I don't think now that it would have been bad. I also didn't want to use up all of the female family names on the first grandkid on my parents side so we went with another mn and my sister used Rose for her DD 9 months later Abigail was on my short list too. We have similar taste I guess. Out of curiosity- what would your boy names be? We are beyond stuck and I'm looking for any help I can get
I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was nearly 27 weeks so we knew pretty much straight away we were having a boy. The only name we can both agree on is Sonny, we both just loved it. Turns out my grandads uncle was called Sonny though. We can't really give him a middle name as we have a double barrel last name. He will be Sonny Leighton-Davies
@apinkpelican that is too funny!!! Early on, baby's dad asked if it were a boy if we could name him Matthew for a friend that passed away a few months before. Even though he's been a jerk from day one, I agreed because I think that's a cute name and I like names in memory of someone. I also like the name Dalton because that's what my parents were going to name me if I were a boy (It's also my grandma's maiden name) Other than that, I didn't consider any boy names cause I realllllly wanted a girl haha
We are team green so for a girl we chose Aurora Elizabeth because we wanted something unique but not crazy out there. And my grandmother's name was Elizabeth and I was extremely close to her. After we decided on the name we found out that in the original sleeping Beauty fairytale Princess Aurora's mother just happened to be Queen Leah (which is my name) so I say it was fate. For a boy it will be Dustan Edward Jr. My husband really wants a Jr and Edward is my father's middle name so I feel like the name is a little of both of us. I just am worried I'm going to call him Lil D, which may become awkward in middle school.
We decided on Eleanor/Elenore June, then realized just two days ago that we had different spellings in mind. My hubby wants Elenore, where as I'm more set on the traditional Eleanor. Glad we realized that now rather than when we were filling out the birth certificate!
We are choosing Franklin James. Franklin was the name of my husbands great uncle who was like a second dad to him. James is for his father that passed away in 2010. I love classic names so it works for me.
I think we've decided on a name, but can't figure out how to spell it! We love the name "Meilani" ... We just don't know if we want to spell it that way. To my husband and myself we see it as "Mih-la-nee" .. It's actually pronounced "may-la-nee" or I've heard "Mia-la-nee" when spelt like that .. Any suggestions?!

Is it Hawaiian? Leilani is a common Hawaiian name and is pronounced Lay-lah-nee, so I would assume Meilani is pronounced similarly. But I am in California so I'm more familiar with those names.
Fyi, your child will spell her name every day for the rest of her life unrelated to how you spell or pronounce it.
Certainly haven't settled yet but I feel like we're getting closer. DD1 is Eliza Michelle and I've been having trouble finding something that matches the "Eliza" vibe (classic, but a little bit spunky). I'm leaning towards Violet right now, with a middle name of either Grace or Jane. Also on the radar are Molly/Holly, Maeve, and Audrey. I think we'll end up with a few options at the hospital and decide there...
@Mamabeagle it is Hawaiian, but we've decided in Milani & we can call her Mila. lol I've wanted Mila from the get go but her dad said it is more of a nick name so glad we could settle on a name and I could still call her what I wanted to!!
Tyson James! James is my Dad's and my Husband's name. Kinda weird but true. Oh, and it is my Brother's middle name. Tyson just because we like it, it suits a child and an adult we think. 26 days left!!! (Family may call him Ty for short)
Interesting note on name spelling, for those of you really into the "unique" spellings. I stood in line at the government office yesterday with a woman (about 30), who was there to legally change her name. Her parents spelled her normal name (Jennifer) "uniqely" and she has spent her whole life hating it, and being frustrated with the fact that NO ONE ever pronounces her name correctly! As a teacher I see this all the time with kids, but seeing a grown adult so frustrated that she has to go through the legal process of officially altering her name, really reinforced for me how important it is for our children to feel comfortable and at ease with the choices we make for them, starting with their name. Why set them up to be miserable, just because we want them to be unique. They will be unique in the person they become. They don't need a poorly spelt it made up name to do that!
Our daughter will be Isabella Ann. My husband is Italian, so we wanted an Italian first name. Her nickname will be Izzy, Bella, or Belle (we'll call her Isabella and see which nickname sticks). Ann was my maternal grandmother's first name (she passed away last year), my paternal grandmother's middle name, and my middle name.

Music is a big part of our lives, so Aria is perfect for our baby girl.
And Rose is just a lovely name and the only nickname we could agree on.
Ari for short because it's totally cute! ♡
