Yesterday afternoon I had just gotten done meeting with one of the women in my office that I genuinely dislike. She is rude, is trying to take over my projects before my team even leaves at the end of this month, and is just catty. She makes my blood boil every time she comes to talk to me.
So after the meeting, I flipped her the middle finger when she wasn't looking. How inappropriate would it be to tell her to 'Fuck Off' to her face?

What're they going to do, fire you? Oh wait....I say wait until one of your last days and go for it, then again there is someone I would just love to do that to myself so maybe I'm biased/living vicariously through others.
Edited because I keep hitting submit early somehow.
Last night I yelled at DH for bringing his smelly feet into bed. This morning I realized it was the dog's breath I was smelling when he yawned right in my face. I think I'll just keep that realization to myself, though.

Haha...no such luck. You have the dreaded reference to worry about! Stops people from burning the place down on their last day.

Well fortunately she's not my manager, nor my superior, nor on the same team as me, so any reference calls wouldn't have anything to do with her lol On my last day I probably won't even be in the office to be honest. Coming back into the office for a measly 3 days after being out on a paid company holiday? Nah, I'm good.
Flaming this know it all mom in my 'moms group.' Had our monthly moms night out last night. Yay, night out, sad watching others drink. Anyway, bitch mom finds out I'm pregnant, asks where I'll be delivering and proceeds to tell me every nightmare story about the hospital and nurses, and where I 'should go.' I hate know it alls. Like I did zero research on this. I just nodded and smiled, dreaming of throat punching her.
@mrsschmity, fingers crossed you get a new job before this one ends, then you can tell that bitch off:)

Ditto on the know-it-alls. I'm a FTM, so I haven't had to deal with too much of that yet. Just people trying to tell me what I should or shouldn't be doing during my pregnancy. I had someone tell me that I shouldn't be lifting weights anymore or doing much exercise other than walking. Yeah. No. Bye.
I am keeping my fingers desperately crossed that I have a new job lined up before this layoff happens! The call backs I'm waiting on from potential job offers are taking too long. I'm getting anxious.
I drank my prune juice out of a wine glass last night. I felt classy and pathetic at the same time and I'm going to do it again tonight.
Thanks for the fantastic idea @mrsp2213. I think I'll start doing the same with my flavored water. In fact, when DH and I go out to dinner tonight I may even ask for my non-alcoholic drink to be delivered in a wine glass. Yes, I think I will.

My own mother told me to stop lifting things (like the laundry basket) because that's what she was told after a miscarriage 33+ years ago. No Mom, I cannot squeeze my baby out of my uterus by doing laundry. *sigh*
Why do people think that's ok @mrsschmity and @candicek15 ! I can smoke crack if I want to, is there a sign on me that says 'please give me all ur advice now that I'm pregnant, I know nothing now' tho I'm sure ur mom hD good intentions candicek15! 2nd time moms have other kids they likely carry, basically carrying a large weight throughout the day.

My mom told me to stop picking up DS and stop pushing his stroller. Because that totally makes sense for a stay at home mom of a 2 year old.

@Wyattnash00 Because apparently now that we're pregnant we have completely lost the ability to use any common sense whatsoever. /End sarcasm font/
I got asked to get to work early tomorrow and stay through my break before our Christmas show. Apparently because I also make skating dresses, my skating school director thinks I would LOVE to "volunteer" to hot glue decorations and costumes at the last minute. Because, what pregnant lady doesn't want to sit in a freezing cold ice rink from 9am-7:30pm... At least they're paying me, hopefully.
I still take warmer showers. To be fair, they only last about 5 minutes and happen 3x a week (if I'm lucky). If I get the luxury of showering when my toddler's asleep, I'm not going to waste it by being cold!

Am I missing something where we're supposed to take cold showers while pregnant?

A warm shower will raise your core temperature and hurt your baby.... Didn't you know this @mrsschmity?? Sheesh
My FFC- I won seats to a paint party tonight. I have no interest in the painting we are doing but you bet your ass I'm going because time oway from DH and the kids by myself.
My confession: I tried to make a quick stop at the grocery store for Christmas cookies, and in my mad rush, grabbed Hannakuh cookies... opps! THEN, I rushed to my car and it wouldn't open. I tired like four times to get in. I finally realized that it wasn't even my vehicle. (I drive a newer black minivan. This was an older charcoal colored hatchback. So it's not like they even looked similar.) And to top it all off, there was a lady sitting in it, looking at me like I was psycho! She was on her phone. I'm just hoping she was already talking to a friend, and not call 911 concerning a crazy lady at her car door! I then got in my car and drove off without making eye contact. So, yeah, that whole thing was pretty horrifying.

My first pregnancy my dr told me to take cooler showers, because hot showers can raise your internal temperature and potentially harm the baby. I guess the same reason why we aren't supposed to go in hot tubs while pregnant too? I was fairly paranoid about it. I usually take really hot showers, so turning down the temp was pretty rough. I still won't go in a hot tub but I've loosened up on the shower temp this time around

I hope not. I take HOT showers most days.
Wait what!? I knew no baths but I take hot ass showers!

Giving up hot baths was hard enough, no one is taking my hot showers away from me. I was a bit paranoid about it so I checked my temperature right when I got out of one of my normal length normal temp showers for a few days and it was all of 0.6 degrees higher. If 0.6 degrees for under 15 minutes is going to mess up my baby, there's bigger problems at play here. With stuff like this I think its more important to know WHY you aren't supposed to do something instead of just a blanket "nope, you can't".
@itsbronte have you spoken to your current OB about it? (is it a different ob? Showers are usually of little concern and you will feel it (hot and dizzy) long before a shower will raise your core temp above 100. #ditchthepregnancytorture

I haven't! I have switched OB's, my last one was a bit notorious for being over the top with things to avoid so she must have just lumped showers in with hot tubs. My bad guys Everyone resume your toasty showering!
My FFFC - I'm kind of disappointed all of my clothes still fit really comfortably. I usually fluctuate between 2 pants sizes depending on the day so I keep both in my closet and have had to switch over to the larger size full time but otherwise everything fits perfectly, no bella bands or hair ties or anything. Same deal with shirts no issues there with tightness or weird bump outlines or anything.

Same!!! I feel like my miniscule bump has disappeared. I seriously am paranoid. I feel like my belly has gone back to flat (note...flat is relative). I'm wearing mat jeans today and I feel like a farce!

--------- Same here. Zero bump. There's a couple pairs of jeans that are no longer comfortable, but let's be real--they weren't all that comfy to begin with. So....the teensiest, tiniest pooch I have now tucks just fine in my normal clothes. I want a bump for Christmas!
During the NT scan my tech had to pound on my stomach to wake the LO up and then he kicked with both feet to get away, rolled over and mooned her. It was funny at the time, but ever since I've been scared to have anything (including me) poke or push on my stomach. I have an intense "stop! you'll wake the baby!" reaction. I feel sheepish, but like for real, stay away from my tummy, baby is sleeping. (It doesn't help that I read an article that playing music for the LO in utero can actually be detrimental bc it can disrupt sleep patterns, not that I've done that cause it can't hear yet, but it just got me obsessed with sleep patterns, I guess.)
Flame away folks--I need tough love to get over this!

Same thoughts exactly today. I lost a little weight pre pregnancy so I had been able to drop down a size and those still fit OK but for most part I am wearing size bigger lately just for comfort. Today that size up is huge on me. I feel like I need to throw my jeans in the dryer to shrink them up. Although, we are driving right now and the button on the jeans was making my belly button feel irritated, so currently driving around unbuttoned. Don't feel like I look pregnant at all. I'm sure in a few months I will be complaining about how huge I am. Just want to feel legit.

At least this early on "wake up" is relative, they don't really "wake" per say, they just move as a reflex in response to stimulation. Also you may have a change of heart later on if your baby decides to move around at night when you're trying to sleep, from what I've heard, they really have a disregard for your sleep patterns, both in utero and out.
Where did you hear about the music playing being a problem? I always kind of assumed that belly buds or whatever they're called would be a less than great idea but never found the evidence, not that I looked very hard.

I've lost about 10 lbs of pre-pregnancy weight too, so maybe that's why the bigger pants fit really well, who knows. I've lost my nausea but have nothing new to remind me that I'm pregnant other than the slightest of a bulge above my pelvis that may or may not just be gas, but it's not even big enough to make my pants uncomfortable. Totally agree that I'll regret wishing for this later when I feel like a whale.
