Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I really feel BETTER a today! In the last week, I have thrown up twice, which never happened earlier on. Lightheaded, and super tired! Compared to others, I do feel lucky that tiredness is the worst of my symptoms!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? I'm going fabric shopping this weekend!! So far I have just been pinning away and printing out patterns that I am excited to make for the baby. Obviously I don't know the gender YET, but I'm not too worried about that since I love all bright colors. I'm just am starting to research strollers and all that fun stuff, but that is all still a mystery to me now!
Questions? None as of today!
GTKY: Opposite of yesterday's question...what is your FAVORITE thing about being pregnant so far? I'm with the previous posters. Boobs and no period? Sign me up!!!
How far along are you: 15 weeks today
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Had to pick up my six year old from school early because he was playing on the ramp of the milk truck when he was told to walk to his classroom by himself after breakfast. *eye roll* I'm just super hormonal about it. Normally I would just be fine, the school is short staffed, they don't have the resources to help a kid with listening trouble blah blah blah. But today I emailed three people at the school, because when I first got called I was told he was playing in the parking lot! His teacher was under the impression he was chasing the milk truck. So I emailed the cafeteria lady, and asked her exactly what happened, and that's it! He was playing on the ramp, and didn't go to class..... He's 6 ...... And everyone there I'm sure knows he has trouble and is distractable ect. Sending him home for that seems totally exteme to me, and like no one actually knew what had happened, and no one bothered to find out besides me! END RANT..... Arrrr so many hormones!!!!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Our 2 year old slept in a big boy bed for the first time last night! Now the crib is in the living room, and I'm trying to decide how to clean it before we put it away for like 4 months.
GTKY: Opposite of yesterday's question...what is your FAVORITE thing about being pregnant so far?
My little bump! It's so cute I know its mostly just fat, but I'm embracing it, its my third baby, so it could be baby!!!
What the actual fuck?! If he needed redirection to get to class, that's part of the job of the school personnel! Sending him home sounds like a completely inappropriate consequence. I'm fired up for you, @incandescent
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Most of my MS went away thank goodness. We have our NT Scan tomorrow and I love seeing how much the baby has grown from the first ultrasound.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Nothing yet, we haven't told anyone we are pregnant yet.
Questions? Nope.
GTKY: Opposite of yesterday's question...what is your FAVORITE thing about being pregnant so far? Knowing that just my DH and I are the only ones that know we are pregnant. It's this huge secret that we only know and it feels special that we are the only ones that do.

I completely disagree. It is their job to teach your child and the cafeteria personnel's job is to feed them. If a child is having behavioral issues, it is the parent's job to address it. The teachers cannot spend a large portion of time on 1 student who won't listen. If they tried and were ignored, the parent's get to step in and deal with it. It's their kid.
Thank you! @parsonsperson I just feel like he should have been sent to class, and we can punish him when he gets home! Just give the kid a chance to succeed in the classroom!! What pissed me off the most was this telephone game everyone was playing that made it seem much worse than it actually was, and which Im sure contributed to him being sent home. Maybe if they had the actual story he would have recieved an education today. @Kballew10 Edited for word choice
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: It is really starting to bother me that I have not even the smallest of bumps. I have been rocking a bloat bump since week 5 but I'm over it and want the real thing. I can feel the hardness above my pubic bone, so it's on it's way but I'm losing patience. Sigh. I am still constipated as fack and managing to poop is now the highlight of my day. I am also fighting every urge to order a doppler. I am not the kind of person who should have one but I want one sooooo bad.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? (Feel free to skip this question if you don't have anything) I am in nursery mode right now. Clearing out the room, getting paint, looking at furniture, I'd like to get it done before the new year since we both have some time off for the holidays this month.
Questions? Nope.
GTKY: Opposite of yesterday's question...what is your FAVORITE thing about being pregnant so far? I am just so delighted to simply just be pregnant. I've known women who have had big time fertility struggles so just knowing that my body was and is able to do this is such a huge relief and blessing to me and I thank God for it everyday. But aside from that the best thing so far has got to be the doing the sonogram/looking at the pictures. It puts a smile on my face all the time to see this little life. I have never stared at my fridge so much.
How far along are you: 12+2 Rants/Raves/Symptoms:I just want to whine that my back is killing me It's been messed up for years, but doesn't cause a constant problem, but today I can't do much but lay down or it hurts and aches and blah I don't like it What are you doing to get ready for baby?Nothing yet Although I guess I am free to buy stuff now we made it to 12wks lol. Questions? None GTKY: Opposite of yesterday's question...what is your FAVORITE thing about being pregnant so far?
I love how exciting it all is and the anticipation of meeting our new little bean

You're entitled to your opinion, of course, @kballew10 . I'm coming from the standpoint of a special education professional. Students with and without IEPs sometimes have behavioral problems, and in the schools I've worked in, it is highly unusual to send kids home for a behavior problem that isn't violent in nature. **editing to add: kids that young, I mean. But I recognize there's factors at play here we aren't aware of. Just really surprised me. If behavior problems are occurring regularly with a student, then there really needs to be a plan in place to ensure that he can access a free and appropriate public education.
@parsonsperson We were close to getting him an IEP at the beginning of the year, but he his doing so much better, still have to work on listening. But he has come really far. After today though I think I'm going to talk to his counselor about it, just so they know that he needs a little extra care. Anyway thanks for the support.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Symptoms are okay, getting a little better. Mostly just dealing with my normal chronic illness more than pregnancy issues now. I keep feeling weird flutters in my lower right abdomen/pelvic area which i hear could be movement but i cant be too sure. I have felt it about 4 times, starting about a week ago but its hard to say. Biggest rant is my insane mother flipped out cause i posted a picture of my own belly (it makes just about as much sense as it sounds like it makes.) I just want to be left alone.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? MIL took us to order her furniture last week! The chair arrived yesterday, the rest should be here in January.
Questions? How do you know if you are feeling the baby or its just a gas feeling or something like that?
GTKY:Opposite of yesterday's question...what is your FAVORITE thing about being pregnant so far? I dont know to be honest. I feel like this stage of pregnancy it still has a touch of not being 'real'. I really loved finding out the gender lol but im not sure that counts.
mrsschmity The appointment went great!!!! Our midwife is awesome. She even pulled out the ultrasound machine and let us take a quick look at our little peanut (picture in ultrasound thread). It took her a little bit to find the heart beat which was a little nerve racking, but it made sense after she started the US. That baby would NOT stop moving. It was so amazing to see!!
