Bummer! I told hubby to chill with DD while I brushed my teeth and took my contacts out... From down stairs he was yelling "hurry mom we need you... MOM are you almost done? Sweetie she's hungry....BABE"
I was literally upstairs for 5 minutes, stuff like that drives me nuts... Like she'll be fine while I take a piss, just re-frickin-lax
I hope you got to enjoy yourself! And was everything okay at home?
Yup. Every time she squeaks it's back to mom. I went to visit his parents over thanksgiving and gave her to his mom so I could shower. I couldn't even make it through washing my hair before she was knocking on the bathroom door. "Momma? Are you almost done?"
Really? Her crying is not the end of the world! Let me freaking wash my hair for the first time in days!
My MIL is that way. She freaks out when the baby cries. She did the same thing with our older daughter. She tried babysitting her once when she was 7 months old while hubs and I went out for New Years. She called by 9:30. DH was already toasty so it was a good thing I was taking it easy so we could go pick her up. Daughter is nearly 6 and she hasn't watched her since. I think she believes we are judging her or she is worried she won't do things the way we want. We are very vocal and clear about our parenting choices-you have to be in our families or your wishes will be ignored-however a little crying never hurt a baby.
