Together 6.5 years. I never dated anyone longer than 4 months before meeting DH. We are common law married but intend to get married maybe in 2 years so it's easier for us to adopt (we both are not very traditional and wouldn't get married if it didn't make the adoption process easier). We've been officially engaged for a year.

Gave up on guys in my city, and started dating him in November of 2006, he came to meet me for Christmas that year. I flew out to see him in March of 2007, he proposed in April 2007 while we were in Blackpool, England. He had been joking around all day about how I would react to being asked in places like the beach, infront of a church, on the pier, in a pizza hut, ect. Around bed time, he asked "So, would you say yes if I asked?" and I said yes, and he handed me the ring. We married in Jacksonville, Fl.
Got married in July of 2007, so have been married for 8 years.
Together for 6 1/2 years, friends for 4 years before that, and getting married in January! Yes, I know I'll be massive, but baby was a bit of a surprise!! x

We've been married 17 years. High school sweethearts...started dating when I was 15 & he was 18. Had our 1st daughter at 18 & 21, second daughter at 21 & 24, and are now expecting our (surprise!) 3rd daughter at 36 & 39.
@kitkatbird that was us a few years ago- together for a decade, turned 30, got married and had a baby all within a 6 month span. It was petty crazy but we were ready and excited for it all!
Together for a little over a year now. Conceived baby the first month we moved in together. We plan on getting married in a few years, no rush since everything else seems to be going so quickly.
We've been together just over 19 years and it will be our 13th wedding anniversary just after lo is born. Took us 7 1/2 years to get married despite hubby telling me he called a buddy of his on the way to our first date (on a pay phone, so yeah ages ago) and when he was telling his friend about me realized he was going to marry me.

Then I looked at his profile and he was a cutie patootie so I ended up replying a week later. Our first date was the zoo in Chicago and we actually got engaged at the Zoo on December 27th... We were just smiling for a picture and next thing I know I turn to him and he's on his knee. I said "wtf really?!?" Hahah
Hubby & I dated for 6 months, engaged for 2 months & we got married in Feb of 2006. First baby girl will be here a month (ish) after our 10 year anniversary
We have been together for 7 years! Marriage just isn't our top priority!! It's been thrown around but never fails that as soon as we start really talking about it and looking at rings something major happens and we focus financially on it! Oh well plenty of couples stay together forever with kids and never get married!! Maybe one day though
