Beta WEEK 12/16

Looking to see if there are some having a beta done the week of 12/16. Has anyone tried testing yet? Not sure when or if I should. My story is I'm 35, TTC 7 years. First IUI 11/29. Looking for some friendly convo. As no one can understand like others that are going through this. Hope every one had a great week end.

Re: Beta WEEK 12/16

  • My beta is the 17th, we had our 4th medicated IUI last week. I am really just dreading beta day. My dh really pushed to do one more IUI this month, I am really trying to make the best of it. I hope the time flies by for you! ( in case you can not see my siggy, I'm 32, TTC for just beyond 3 years, dh is 37. Biggest issue is MFI - low morphology).

    Good luck to you!!!

  • O, and no, I have not tried testing, the earliest I have tested is 12 dpIUI. I do the Ovidrel trigger shot so I have always been leary of testing too early and getting false positives. I probably won't test this month and will just wait for AF to start. I can't see another white stick this month.

My beta is on the 14th haven't tested yet. Had my 4th iui first on follistim last 3 were on clomid all done with trigger shots. Went to doctor Friday they said I ovulated and that my lining was 9 and that my follicle was 33mm which they said was good and they did bloodwork
  • My beta is on 14th as well. I did day 6 transfer on 12/1. It's our first IVF, we jumped right into it without trying IUI first.

    Good luck to you ladies!!!
  • I think I will wait as well. I don't want to get a false hope. I did Ovidrel trigger as well and was on 75mg of follistim. Has anyone experienced side effects from the trigger? Thanks ladies for telling your stories. It's nice to not feel alone.
  • @ColeM91 I was also on 75uls of follistim and took the ovidrel. I have no side effects from either but I def have diarrhea from the progesterone suppositories sorry for the tmi
  • Hi ladies,

I don't have a beta scheduled because my RE won't do one until you get a positive hpt. I will be testing next Saturday or Sunday as that will be 13/14dpiui.
I did a combo cycle of letrozole and follistim and ended up with one mature follicle. DH has okay swimmers, low morphology. Hoping for good news next weekend. FX that we see lots of BFPs!!

    IVF #1, Feb 2017 - 22 eggs retrieved, 18 fertilized, 14 Day-5 blasts to freeze
    FET #1, Feb 2018 -
  • Checking to see how everyone is doing? I'm tired of people saying if you stop thinking about it, it will happen! I mean how can we not with shots, blood work, internal US, BD on ovulation days. We live and breath wanting to conceive. It's so hard to put it on the back burner. Sorry just venting. Having a low day. Hope ya'll are doing well.
  • I think I'm going to test today not sure if it's to soon
  • @ultratomato FX for a BFP! FX for us all to have BFP this month! It would be a great Christmas gift and great way to start the new year. If not have a glass of wine & a bubble bath.

@ColeM91 doing ok today. I think I've done a good job with patience so far. I keep getting mad at myself when I find myself getting too hopeful and day dreaming - why I did not want to do this IUI right before Christmas. We did just find out my cousins 10 years younger than me are "trying" and I am dreading them announcing they are KU, but at the same time I wish it is so easy for them. Had a good cry in self pity about this, now we are moving on and hope that they do not announce in a huge group of family or anything.
We can wallow together in having a crappy day. I really just wanted to stay in bed this morning or go shopping!!

No side effects from the trigger, well beside the heightened emotions and maybe I am getting used to them.

@ultratomato good luck, sorry if I missed it, but did you do ivf or IUI? Fx for you.

  • @vssbrm I did iui but it was a bfn. Think I tested to early and used a cheap test.
  • Sorry for the BFN. I see you message now that says you did IUI, it looks like your only 7dpIUI? I would def say it was too early to test you are totally not out of anything! But at least you know the trigger shot is out!

  • Thank @vssbrm that makes me feel better about it
  • @ultratomato I agree it probably is too early . I heard the digital tests need more hcg levels. But I'm not sure what test is good. I was thinking maybe, just maybe testing 14dpiui?

@vssbrm I know the feeling. I found out twice that my baby sister and my ex's new wife got pregnant not once but twice in the same month. It was like a knife to my heart on both occasions. All of my friends have kids. I get the well I don't invite you to certain things because you don't have kids. Or I didn't want to tell you I was pregnant because I know how hard your trying. Super.... Makes me feel so much better. I wonder if I should take this month off if I get a BFN. Maybe enjoy the new year with a drink! I've been to worried to have a glass of wine or caffeine because I want the best possible results.
Keep your head up ladies it has to get better!
  • @ColeM91 thinking on testing on Friday that is when AF is suppose to come

@ColeM91 Cheer up!! We will be one of them in the near future, right? Haha. :)

I am now 7dp6dt. I had some spotting and cramping that started on Sunday, thought it may have been implantation bleeding. I tested with HPT last night and it was BFN. I'm not sure if I tested too early but I was bummed all the same. I probably won't test again until my beta! I still have very light spotting and mild on/off cramps. We shall see what my beta says on 14th!

I hope to see lots of BPF popping up in this forum in the next few days! :)

  • @luvssong012 that darn white stick can make us or break us! Maybe it's too early. Spotting can be a good sign!! FX. They booked my beta 17 dpiui. I'm on day 9 piui.
I'm still on the fence of testing this Sunday. I agree it can lessen the blow. Waiting for that call has to be the pits also. I've had cramps here and there but no spotting. My beta is on the 16th. Every moment of each day I'm hoping to "have a sign". But I don't!
I hope to see some good news next week on this forum as well

    Mistake post
  • So I tested again this time digital and it was bfn ugh. I'm hoping it's too early. I don't test till Monday and hat will be 17dpiui
  • @ultratomato keep your head up. Definitely could be too early. I am 9dpiui right now and I think will wait until Saturday, maybe Sunday to take my first hpt. We'll see if I can muster the will power!
Hang in there! Your beta day will be here before you know it :)

  • This wait is killing me. Especially since I have to take a month off this month cause we are traveling for the holidays. Praying that I'm pregnant.
  • I tested again last night, BFN (tested 6 and 7dp6dt).

I don't know what to think or how to feel anymore. It seems like those who had BFP had +HPT between 4-6 days after ET.

I can't seem to focus at work these days. I wish Monday is tomorrow!

  • At @luvssong012 I feel the same way and I have to wait till Monday unless I get AF on Friday
  • The wait is terrible, like we don't go through enough!!

@luvssong012 everyone's bodies are different, I know it is hard to not jump to conclusions, so try to be gentle on yourself until your doc appointment Monday.

I went in for my 7 dpIUI blood tests today. I am a little bummed, my progesterone is only at a 9.6, the last IUI I had it was in the 20s so I thought we had finally figured it out ( my first two we around 9 as well.). I wish just once that everything in my cycle tested great so that we could have a tiny bit of pure optimism.

  • @ultratomato it depends on the person. For me, it delayed me just two days. I've heard though it could delay it up to a week.

  • You guys, today is so hard, and it's not that I am so excited to test. I just want it to be over with so I don't have to think about it for a few months. I am completely expecting a BFN, it just seems like nothing really lined up well this time so, there is that. Blah. To top it off, I am super cranky because I dreamed about chocolate frosted donuts last night, but I can not have any because of Celiacs. I have not had one in years.... But now it is all I can think about.

How is everyone else doing? And big plans for the coming weekend? My sister and I are going to my mom's to make Christmas cookies. I am looking forward to macaroons and almond clouds.

    Hope everyone is doing well!!

  • @vssbrm FX for you. Have you checked whole foods for gluten free Donuts? More and more stores are making lots of gluten free items. I'm learning more and more about celiac, our friend in Bible study has celiac so we're always looking to bring things she can eat. Enjoy those macaroons this week end.
Today I have a pink tinge, hoping it's spotting? Hoping, hoping, hoping.....
We are going to my nephews 1st birthday this weekend. So going to be surrounded by lots of little ones. Going to pour my love out on them and then have a good cry.
Hope ya'll have a great week end.
  • Sorry to hear that @vssbrm. This weekend I'm going to NY city with the family to walk around the city and see the tree and stuff
  • So I am 11dpiui today and trying desperately to fight the urge to test. I a have our work Xmas party tomorrow night and don't want to be a downer if I get a BFN. The party will be a fun distraction... Hope everyone else is doing well!

I don't know why I feel this way but I do. It's terrible. I'm scared this is some sort of premonition. I know it's too early to test too so I'm just gonna have to live with this feeling :(

  • @rshatsky I did an IUI and have a similar feeling that it did not work. I'm trying to be optimistic, but even when I have optimistic thoughts I then get mad at myself for being optimistic and setting myself up... Ugh. My fx that your feeling is incorrect and you get your BFP!

@ultratomato I am so sorry to hear that, it always stinks not getting a position you put yourself out there for. Hopefully something better comes up!

@mando15 I would not test before the party either, I think it is easier that way!!

I had my second IUI 11/30 and go for beta on the 15th. This one has been rough on me.. Had mild ohss and possible uti, not pleasant. Spent a lot more time at the doctors during my tww than necessary but worth it in the end, right.. i'm in the final stretch of the tww and have all sorts of cramping at night that wakes me up. Kind of AF cramps but a little more intense. Hoping that's normal since they are only at night.. They put me on prometrium suppositories (those are fun .. Lol .. Hubby always checks to make sure I've taken my "vagina medicine". He has definitely kept us both laughing during this whole process which is super important) to a slightly lower progesterone than they'd like and didn't want me to take my second Ovidrel shot. We are of course super hopeful. The 15th can't come soon enough. I'm hopeful for all of you a well. I love the support and understanding we receive here. It's awesome to have you all. Fx!

    @SassyLass17 What a sweet hubby, & funny!

I got AF a week early.......All day I have been having blood when I urinate. Thought it might be a UTI. Went to my PCP, did a HPT with a BFN
  • @colem91 I'm so sorry. Be good to yourself over the holidays. What are your next steps? Will you take a break for the holidays?
