Had our first US this morning, according to LMP, they were estimating 9 wks, but I know my cycle is actually 33-35 days and I probably was not as far along as 9.
As soon as the tech started the vaginal u/s, she said "oh...you're definitely not 9 weeks. Closer to 6 weeks, maybe. Not much to see..." and then remained pretty much silent as she took measurements. She told me the radiologist and doctor would discuss results....but we never even saw the screen, no heartbeat was visible.
She said it's very common, she sees this a lot and not to worry....but I can't help it - a lot of ladies have posted 6wk ultrasound pics and I didn't even see the screen. The tech being so quiet made me even more nervous.
Any thoughts? Did anyone else leave their first u/s appt without seeing anything at all?
Re: First U/S, no news, no pictures?
Hope you get good news from the doc
The tech wasn't rude, just didn't say much. Silence is terrifying, this early!
And ditto the others - when was your positive test? Thinking of you.

BFP 5/07/18 • MMC found at 10.5 wks • D&E at 11.5 wks • Testing showed it was a girl with Trisomy 22. (age 39/40)
9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)
RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.
BFP 9/24/18 • CP (age 40)
Eta...I'm bad at math...this whole post made me rethink my edd (I haven't had a appt yet). You got your bfp 5 days after me, and I suspect I'm just over 9w...so I would assume you should be further along!? But like a pp say, most of the time if there is something wrong they'll talk with you then. You could've gotten a super early bfp. Fx for you!

Sorry I'm so confused by your dates. How can you be 6 weeks? I'm 6+5 and I got my BFP on 11/20 and O'd around 11/4. How could you get a BFP on the 4th and be 6 weeks?
ETA: when I had the u/s I had that diagnosed me with PCOS, I asked the tech about the results and she said she couldn't discuss them with me so I second calling and getting in to talk to a doctor asap.

I am going to be honest, if you got a BFP on Nov 4, and that assuming that you were right around 4 weeks then (date of your missed period,) that means you are 8 weeks 6 days today.
To be 6 week ish now, you would have had to ovulate at or around Nov 4. You can not get a BFP until after implantation occurs plus a few days (to build up enough HCG).
While u/s dates can be off due to long cycles and what not. Being this far off is not normal and it is not a good sign.
I suggest you be cautiously hopeful but be prepared for the worst.
I am sorry.
Bad news is better than no news, for my mental health's sake.
