12wk5d and up 3 lbs at 12 wk appointment. I had a thyroid issue flair up right before getting pregnant and unfortunately started the pregnancy over weight. So obviously I am trying not to gain too much.
I've gained about 3-4 pounds and I'm 13 weeks. That's about right on track from my last pregnancy where I gained 33lbs total. I'd like to keep it closer to 25 this time but I doubt that will happen.
@leight31 - I lost 15 in my first trimester. Doctor said as long as it was under 20 not to stress too much. A lot of it depends on your body type pre-pregnancy. I was a bit curvy even before getting pregnant so losing a bit of fat isn't a huge deal for me.
12 weeks, down 7 lbs.... but up two since the weekend, so who the heck knows. And honestly, depending on the time of day I weigh, I can up 5 or down 5 in a day!
Unfortunately I'm getting my appetite back... I have a feeling the scale will creep up quickly now.

The lesson here is that there is a BROAD range of normal! Personally, at almost 14 weeks, my weight has only fluctuated +/- 2 pounds around my pre-pregnancy weight. My waist has expanded quite a bit and I'm up a full bra size, so I know there must be some re-distribution happening because my body FEELS like it's gained at least 10 pounds! This is my first pregnancy so I feel like I have no idea what to expect and I'm just going along for the ride. My morning sickness was never bad at all and is now resolved and I haven't noticed a major difference in my appetite.

It has varied with each pregnancy. I am 14.5 wks preggers with baby number 4. I am 5ft 3.5 in and weigh 128 currently. I actually lost 10 lbs the 1st couple of weeks due to nausea. I can say that with each child I gained less weight, but each baby weighed a little more with my 3rd son weighing 7lbs 14oz. Each pregnancy is different. Never compare yourself to someone else. " Every-body is different ".
I lost 10. Not sure why because no morning sickness. Dr. is not concerned and said as long as it doesn't continue past 20 weeks all is good. Heartbeat is strong and baby is healthy!
Well.... I feel horrible after reading all these lol. I'll be 14 weeks on Monday and I'm up 10. *hides in a corner and cries*
You think that's bad???? I was 139 lbs in August (and I thought I was fat then, geez) at my 8 week appt, I was 159. I weighed at home yesterday and I am 164. I'm 11+5 today. I hate myself.

Oh well good.... Because I'm really up about 15-20 now lol. I've felt some serious guilt posting that I've gained so much! I had nausea but hardly any vomiting during this first trimester. Idk why I've packed on the pounds but I'm right there with ya girl. Lol
I lost 6 right off the bat and am still at that weight. I have not had an appetite at all and when I do eat its just a little but luckily haven't been actually sick. I was overweight to begin with so its not a big deal but I am trying to only gain 15 pounds total due to that fact. I guess with the 6 I lost that means I can gain 21 and still be on target:) Im 11w1d today.

This is the downside to talking about weight gain/loss. No matter how rationally you know that you can't compare yourselves to others-if you've gained more than some, you're going to feel like crap and that sucks. To be honest I'm pretty shocked how few women on here have gained weight - I mean it's all fine and well and it really stinks that so many of us were suffering from terrible MS- I was just a bit surprised. Seems a lot of people have lost. But for those who have gained, pleeeeeeeeeeeease try not to 'hate yourself'. You're making a human. be proud. don't stress!
At 12 wks today, I've lost about 5 lbs since finding out I was pregnant. I haven't been sick alot, but have major food aversions so I know I haven't been eating as much as I normally would.

You are SO right. It's easy to feel down about ourselves when comparing to others. All I know is today I found out I'm having a little girl and I'm on cloud nine. I'll go through anything for you, little one.
My first pregnancy I NEVER participated in these threads because it seemed like I was the only one gaining. I think a lot of people that are seeing numbers, 8, 10, 15 pounds up already... are pretty timid here because they seem like the outsiders.
GUESS WHAT! You are still just fine. And more than likely, still in the norm!! :-) Listen to your body, and stay as healthy as you can! Only let your doctor bring you concerns about your weight gain. I gained 55 lbs with my first but stayed extremely healthy throughout. I still looked and felt great. My doctor was never concerned. My blood pressure stayed low, and I stayed active. Some women just gain more than others. And that is OK.
I'm 12w 6d and I'm down 24 lbs. I got the EXTREME morning sickness. All the anti nausea meds they gave me helped a little but in the end if the baby didn't like the smell, taste or look of something I was running for the bathroom. If you said the word pickle I'd throw up on que. My in laws found out the hard way I wasn't kidding. It's almost gone though! And baby is happy and healthy!
I'm in the same boat. You'd think we'd be able to hold off the maternity pants for a while longer but I'm just left with loose pant legs and a snug waist band.
14+5 and I'm up approximately 5 lbs. I don't own a scale, so I had to wait until my doctor's appointment today to find out. And I don't really know where I started when I first became pregnant, but 5 lbs is my best guess. This is quite different than my first pregnancy in which I lost 12 lbs in the first trimester.
