I can't access the Bump at all on my mobile...wtf?! This started Friday & it's still not working properly...which means I've got a very long day ahead of me, lol.
Symptoms wise...I'm exhausted & crampy, & have been having the worst leg cramps at night for nearly a week. Had a bit of spotting when I went to the bathroom first thing this morning, but none since. Freaks me out whenever I see that.
What are you doing to get ready for baby?
Today, I'm going to work earning that $$.
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby?
I really like to cook, & read. I also really like photography, but have never put enough time into it to actually become decent at it.
@DeePaddy24 I like what you're doing to get ready for baby lol I'm doing the same today. @BLM10 Hope you feel better soon!
How far along are you: 13+2
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I think I feel worse the last 2 days than I have throughout the entire first trimester so far. Cramping, RLP, emotional and back to the extreme fatigue. I woke up this morning feeling weak and lethargic on my way to work. Almost like the feeling you get when you haven't eaten and have low blood sugar.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Same as @DeePaddy24 Not doing a whole lot except for saving money and enjoying the process of growing a human.
Questions? Nope, don't think so. Everything I'm experiencing is normal for when gestating a baby, so I'm good.
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? I love working out, gardening, photography and home/DIY projects.
How far along are you: 13w6d Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I've been MIA from here because we've been so crazy busy! Thankfully symptoms have finally subsided with family visiting, travelling for work and then travelling to visit family. Feeling pretty good these days, still just worn out at the end of the day. What are you doing to get ready for baby? We've been collecting all our baby gear back from those we've loaned it out to! Other than that, not much until after we find out the sex next month so I can get working on the nursery. Questions? None right now, life is boring, life is good! GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? I'd say attending concerts and making crafty/diy things!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Lots of heartburn and still tired all the time. Sad it's Monday! Not much happening during the week but looking forward to a concert on Friday and then babysitting our niece on Saturday.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Not much at the moment. Waiting for my next appt. next Tuesday and then I think we'll start doing a bunch of stuff like looking for a new car, figuring out what to put on the registry, stuff like that.
Questions? None at the moment.
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Birdwatching!
Me - 33, DH - 33 Married - May 2014 DH - Low Count/Motility/Morph - Varicocele vein x 2 - surgery (8/11) - success! BFP - 10/10/15, EDD - 6/20/16 - It's a BOY! Baby #1 - 6/29/16 - Lucas Christopher, 10 lbs 3 oz, 22.25 inches Baby #2 - TTC May 2017 BFP - 9/10/17, EDD - 5/26/18 - It's a GIRL! - RCS May 22nd
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: FX that the MS goes away soon. I'm so sick of feeling nauseous and extra sick of hating food. DH is travelling for the next 2 weeks and I'm almost guaranteed to eat out the entire time because cooking makes me gag. On the plus side, him being gone means I can Xmas shop for him without worrying about him seeing the gifts!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Ordered Xmas/announcement cards... if that counts.
Questions? Why do we work for 5 days and then only get 2 off? I think whoever started this "work week" thing got it backwards...
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Currently - falling asleep during movies. Normally - I honestly have no idea. I've never been much of a "hobby" person. I like to do a lot of things, but never to the point of "hobby". I can be crafty and sew, I read, watch movies, garden, think about working out... but it's all just stuff I sometimes do. I'm boring...
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: nausea showed it's ugly face yesterday after taking a few days off in the 11th week and making me feel slightly human again haha
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Not too much, saving and throwing lots of ideas out there...
Questions? Anyone else really nervous for their 12wk scan? I'm sure everything is fine as I heard hb just last week but I'm having scan today and just very anxious.
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Cooking and baking (I couldn't live without my kitchenaid mixer!) and not so much a hobby but guilty pleasure of watching trash TV haha (better get my fix now... Next year I'm sure it'll be all Sesame Street or something similar haha)
How far along are you: 12 weeks tomorrow! Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I just finished reading the skin issues feed because I'm having the worst acne I've had since being a teenager! Not a fan! I love all the extra sleep I get, an how no one judges me for being tired and hungry all the time! Those are my biggest symptoms: tired and hungry! Walked over 2 miles yesterday (Titan's game) and my legs are soooo sore today! Mind you, I was a runner before becoming pregnant, but the fatigue stopped that pretty quick! What are you doing to get ready for baby? Thus far, just trying to get to trimester 2! Lots of mental plans and sleeping over here! GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Sleeping!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Holiday baking was a success this weekend. Thanks for the great ideas! My absolute favorite were the cranberry orange cookies. The icing was not needed.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Trying to mentally prepare myself and DD. She has no clue how much her world is about to change.
Questions? None.
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Baking. I've decided that my blump is really just all of the sweets and fatty foods I've had over the past three months. Much more fat than water.
@matthewsdm Glad to hear you're starting to feel better! @BakerBird525 Oooh what concert are you going to?! @Kballew10 Sleep is a hobby of mine too lately lol
@jwilly87 Good luck at your scan today! I don't have much advice because my doctor doesn't do any ultrasounds until 20 weeks. Let us know how it goes!
@PressLove Glad the baking went well! My mom and sister are coming over on Saturday and we'll be doing the same thing. Along with making homemade pierogies! Yum.
@mrsschmity- Thank you very much! Now I'll be thinking about where I can get some homemade pierogies. I'm highly susceptible to suggestion when it comes to food. LOL
@mrsschmity- Thank you very much! Now I'll be thinking about where I can get some homemade pierogies. I'm highly susceptible to suggestion when it comes to food. LOL
I wish I could send some to you via internet lol If you've never had them, they are AMAZING. We only make them once a year around the holidays because they take forever to make!
@mrsschmity - soooo good! My grandma makes homemade pierogies, but i've never tried because it seems like so much work! I kind of want pierogies now, too...
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Last week of classes! Finals next week and then winter break. I intentionally saved my electives for my last semester before my BA to give myself an easy exit and now I am VERY thankful that I did that.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Not much still except perusing the rental listings for a place (we live with my dad currently), but we likely won't move until after the holidays anyway.
Questions? None, today.
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? I used to really enjoy reading and journaling but majoring in English and having to read and write so much for school has seemed to take the desire out of doing it for pleasure. Hopefully I'll get back to it after graduation in May.
@mrsschmity - soooo good! My grandma makes homemade pierogies, but i've never tried because it seems like so much work! I kind of want pierogies now, too...
@Kballew They are a lot of work, but so worth it! My family lives for pierogies this time of year. We have to make so many of them so we have enough to go around. Now I'm getting hungry...
How far along are you: 12w2d Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I guess it's a symptom/rant: I can not stand the smell of DH. Like his natural essence. Even after a shower. He comes over to hug me and all I can think is good god just get away from me!!! When he's asleep and rolls over to face me I can't stand his breath blowing in my face. Blah!!! I feel like a total jerk.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Right now I'm thinking about a Christmas card announcement. Why won't the Google show me the perfect idea so I can poach it?! Everything is so cutesy/cheesy. *gag*
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? I love to read. LOVE. I also enjoy being crafty with home projects/diy/sewing/quilting, etc. All the crafts!!
Also, now I can't stop thinking about pierogies. Never tried homemade and I bet they are the cat's pajamas! DH will be excited! Any particular recipe @mrsschmity?
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@hockeyfan42 We use a family recipe that's been passed down for years! I think I have the main recipe written down in one of my recipe books - I'll look for it tonight and share it, minus any secret family ingredients of course
@hockeyfan42 - I agree with the cheesy/cutesy announcements. We took a picture of the sonogram in the Xmas tree and signed the card from DH, me, and baby: due June 23. Simple and straightforward. Then again, our Xmas cards are usually sarcastic and funny. I don't believe in mushy cards. Emotions are too much work.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: DH was such a huge help yesterday. He knew I obviously don't have the energy to do a lot of housework so we tackled it together. I feel so bad that I have been neglecting the house (I stay at home), but he understands that I feel awful and just can't do as much as I used to.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? We are redoing the front room that will be the nursery. It needs new carpet and paint (used to be DD's playroom).
Questions?none
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? I love to read. Always have. Growing up I would read almost anything that I could get my hands on. My mom told me one time she found me reading the phone book.
2 angel babies to watch over us- bfp 3/16/13, c/p 3/27/13- bfp 6/27/13, c/p confirmed 7/4/13- We will always carry you in our hearts
@mrsschmity Thanks! I wish my family had secret recipes. I think that's really cool.
@kballew10 We always do sarcastic/funny cards and I'm just completely uninspired this year. I like your idea, maybe I'll just do something simple and straightforward, too. Mushy cards get eye rolls around here, hah.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
How far along: 11w2d Symptoms: Nausea continues... hope it's like it was for my daughter and lifts suddenly at 13 weeks Rants: still paranoid of mmc. I've had 2 of them (but very early). I just wish I could simply assume the best. I'm having trouble being excited about Christmas cause I feel like it'll either be total joy and announcements and just the best or a very very sad time for my family. I'm still slightly rattled by that back ache I had last week too (I THINK it was just from carrying my toddler). Rave: my mom is hanging out with my daughter right now so I'm able to chillax for a bit. GTKY: I love working out, vegetarian cooking, I volunteer in a local moms group and at my church.. I feel like sleeping and watching netflix has replaced all my pre-pregnancy hobbies.
E@DeePaddy24 Hope the spotting was just a once off.
How far along are you: 11-5 Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rant : my kindle is a jerk to use the Bump on. It's jumping all over the place and being annoying.
Symptoms: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and annoying sharp RLP. What are you doing to get ready for baby?: Stockpiling Cholocate in my belly. Does that count? Questions?: nope , not that I can think of. GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Since I had DD I am starting to forget what I actually liked to do before her. But I do love going for a walk. Having a BBQ (with a cold beer on a Summers day). I love shopping too. I love browsing shops and finding bargains. I am determined to get back in to reading more next year. Adding going to rodeos after reading the post below.
Symptoms: I'm feeling pretty good, actually. Get tired quickly, sometimes have heartburn/indigestion, but mostly if I eat too much. Still been pretty emotional and moody, but I really think that's normal. I've gained more weight than I should have already and I'm feeling like a whale, but I can't get up the motivation to work out. Oh yeah, I've gotten to where I pee myself sometimes when I cough or sneeze. Fun stuff. I don't want to wish away my pregnancy, but I really can't wait to hold and love on this baby!!!!!! We go for our 2nd ultrasound tomorrow, gonna to the Nuchal Translucency test.
Rants: I'm totally freaked out all the time about whether the baby is ok. Sometimes I'm scared I've mc but don't know it. I know those thoughts are not from God, so I just try to push them out, but it's hard. Excited about going to the Dr. tomorrow so I can get some reassurance!!!!!
Rave: My husband has been extremely empathetic and living here lately and has been helping me out w everything! Thank you, Jesus!!!
What r u doing to get ready for baby?: We went to look at new cars over the weekend (gotta get a new mommy mobile). Couldn't do anything because the credit union was closed in Saturday, so will prob sign papers today or tomorrow. Also, just working, trying to take care of myself, eating, drinking water, and taking my prenatals!
GTKY: I love horseback riding & barrel racing, just rodeo period. My husband is a team roper, and I barrel race (when I'm not preggo) lol It's always been my passion.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Can I rant for a stinkin' minute please? I am still mad about this, but was furious on Saturday. DH and I found out from two close friends that FIL has been going around telling people (at LEAST these two) that two years ago he "gave us around $8,000 for a down payment on that house and that bitch didn't even say thank you"! WHAT. I saw RED! Without getting into a ton of backstory, FIL is the biggest rotten POS on this planet. So much so that DH and I agreed he would never be left alone with our children. So this guy is the biggest narcissist in the WORLD. So he tells people he gave us thousands of dollars for our down payment, but didn't even get a thank you? I'll tell you why I never said thank you. BECAUSE HE NEVER GAVE US SO MUCH AS A WELL WISH, LET ALONE ANY MONEY!!!! As a matter of fact, he didn't even congratulate his son when we bought out first home. He didn't congratulate us for the wedding (no card, nothin'), he didn't congratulate DH when DH called to tell him we were having a baby. NOTHING. As a matter of fact, he said "yeah I heard" and changed the subject. OMG I hate this guy SOOOOO MUCH.
So we're now not going to Christmas Eve with DH's family (it's a large gathering) because I said I didn't want to see his dad. Ever. So DH called his siblings, told him why we wouldn't be attending anymore family gatherings where he was there, and they understood. So they are coming to our house after the big gathering on Christmas Eve, so we can still spend time with his brothers and sister. That is nice. But obviously FIL isn't invited. Okay, RANT OVER. Rawr!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? ...Nothing, lol. Nothing yet.. Questions? None GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Ugh, I'm so lame. I don't even really have one.
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Making dollah bills, y'all! I did get a pump from a friend and a free tub last week. WOOT!
Questions? Nope!
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Reading, spending time outside (which, in MN, is for a glorious four months out of the year ), and landscaping/gardening

I'm in MN also, and I am in complete disbelief at how "warm" of a winter we're having so far - at least where I live. In previous years we've already been out on the lakes ice fishing!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I. Am. Exhausted. I feel as though I am trying to swim through molasses, and it's very difficult to focus at work. Anyone else?
Yesterday DH and I finished up the Christmas lights on the house, and bought our tree! I spent a couple of hours Saturday and about an hour last night (in the dark, with a headlamp, lol) hanging icicle lights, wreaths, and garland. First year we have done that many lights, and I think it'll be a tradition that's here to stay. Fun!
What are you doing to get ready for baby? Working hard for the money (do-do, do), so haaard for it honey (do-do, do). Same as PPs, saving $ and growing a human. Will start researching baby things in earnest soon.
Questions? Anyone else uber sluggish?
GTKY: What is your favorite hobby? Cooking, baking, gardening, dance, building stuff.
@crdo Yes to the exhaustion and feeling sluggish. STILL at 13+ weeks. I thought it was easing up a bit, but I was wrong. So so wrong. Your Sunday sounds a lot like mine yesterday! I even got DH to listen to some Christmas music in the car on the way to cut down our tree lol
@Meglit89: OMG, that's crazy. I'm sorry you have to deal with a family member that is so off his rocker. I'm sure those he's telling about your supposed down payment $ and lack of gratitude know he's full of it.
@mrsschmity, @Kballew10: Pierogies---mmmmmm. DH is Polish, and every time we visit his Polish grandma in Chicago she sends us home with a small duffel FULL of homemade frozen pierogies and kielbasa. TSA has fun with that...but they are oh so delicious.
@agillespie15: Barrel racing?! That sounds awesome, and totally badass!
@crdo - YES! I literally spend the first 2 hours of my work day staring at my computer trying to stay awake and trying not to throw up. It's not productive. I just want to nap... all day... and then still go to bed at 8pm. Also, I now have that song stuck in my head. Thanks!

Oof, the caffeine limit is doing me in. Good to know it isn't just me! Hopefully yours will start to ease up as you get into the 2nd tri!
Nice--Christmas music is basically required when doing any Christmas decorating related activities. DH will ONLY listen to the Charlie brown christmas. I do love it too, but I can't listen to 12 songs for an entire month, lol. Variety, man!!

Couldn't do anything because the credit union was closed in Saturday, so will prob sign papers today or tomorrow. Also, just working, trying to take care of myself, eating, drinking water, and taking my prenatals!
GTKY: I love horseback riding & barrel racing, just rodeo period. My husband is a team roper, and I barrel race (when I'm not preggo) lol
It's always been my passion.

Nice--Christmas music is basically required when doing any Christmas decorating related activities. DH will ONLY listen to the Charlie brown christmas. I do love it too, but I can't listen to 12 songs for an entire month, lol. Variety, man!!
And you're welcome
