Am I the only one who saw that and was immediately thinking alcohol? Whoops. Maybe it's on my mind because tonight is the holiday party and I'm going to have to speak with the bartenders to get mocktails as I'm not ready to let people know yet!
I've been drinking water, and still have a cup of coffee. I also drink juices too.
I've been drinking sparkling grape juice a lot in the last week or so. I've also been making Shirley Temples (sprite with grenadine) once in a while. An a TON of water.

Water and ginger tea. Although yesterday I was at a marketing event for the island I work on, and I carried around a glass of wine then "leave" it on a table then get a new glass of prosecco, then pour a little out over time until it was gone. I work with booze for a living so not having a glass in my hand was not an option.
Ginger beer. It's nonalcoholic, you can get it at bars or the organic/specialty drinks section of most supermarkets and is delicious. It comes in a can or bottle and tastes like a cocktail. (It's the mixer for Moscow mules). It was my go to during fertility treatments and everyone thought I was just drinking alcohol along with them. Plus, it has an added benefit of calming the stomach for when that morning sickness kicks in. I love Gosling's and Reed's. Barrit's is disgusting, so stay far away from that brand!
I would and do put one of those tall sweater coozies on the bottle and people just think it's a dos equis or Heineken.

Generally I just drink a lot of water so sticking with that. Have had a little craving for oj, but haven't had any bc so much sugar in juice. I have been really really wanting seltzer with a little cranberry juice and lime juice so I'll be buying cranberry juice soon haha. Personally I don't drink any caffeine or soda so obviously not going to pick up new unhealthy habits now (hopefully lol)
Mostly water. With a few sips of something caffeinated throughout the day. I try to keep it around 100mg a day. If that. But if I don't, I get a headache and I absolutely hate tylenol so I try not to take it if I don't need to.
@jmitchel I'm obsessed with La Croix too! I get weird looks at the grocery store for piling six 12-packs in my cart at a time, but I seriously can't get enough.
@lfh22 love it! We have 3-5 flavors in our fridge at any given time lol my hubby goes on la croix runs 2-3 times a week ... It's a problem!!!! Hahaha could be worse though I suppose
I've been drinking water and grapefruit juice. I've been attempting to replace coffee and hot tea with hot water mixed with lemon juice and honey, which doesn't taste too bad and is supposed to be good for you...
I do half caff coffee now. I have to have some caffeine since I work nights. I drink lots of water throughout the day. I enjoy pineapple juice with seltzer water when I want something with flavor.
I have 2 cups of coffee in the morning, then water the rest of the day. I used to drink a full pot of coffee every day, so it's been an adjustment. And today I bought some sparkling juice that I plan to put in an empty wine bottle so I won't blow my cover when my mom spends the night next! And definitely on Christmas eve. I used to have a glass of red wine every night after putting the kids to bed. If my mom saw me skip it more than once she'd figure out my pregnancy lol
So far, drinks been my biggest hurdle in this whole (5 week) pregnancy. I have always been a big soda drinker - I'm talking full sugar, no diet or zeros for me. I've never been a big water drinker. I drink maybe 4 cups of plain water a week, and that's being generous. I know I need to drink more water, but it absolutely bores me. I've tried water additives - gross. I have cut way back on the amount of soda I drink, but know that I will not be able to give it up fully. Luckily my OB told me that a small can (8 oz) a day is okay, not recommended, but under the 200mg daily limit.
Until I can get myself onto a better water regimen, I've been drinking sweet decaf tea, lots of coconut milk, lots of regular milk, and a glass or two of juice a day.
Pellegrino and regular water (with lemon and fresh ginger if I'm feeling nauseous). I stay away from juice, flavored waters and nooooo soda - way too much sugar.
I'm having some stomach issues so I've been drinking ginger ale. I am not a huge water drinker so I am having to make an effort to drink water now, but I've found that just adding some lemon makes it easier to enjoy. Also a co-worker suggested ginger and lemon infused water for extra taste and ginger is great for upset stomachs. NOTE: Add the ginger and lemon to your water the morning you are going to drink it, if you do it the night before or days before it gets a little gross.
I have never been a huge water drinker either so it's been a change but now I constantly have my water mug in hand wherever I go. I still have my cup of water in the morning but then switch to a glass of lemon water to keep me up. If I get sick of water I bought some tea and been drinking that, it's caffeine free so that helps break up the day and keeps me under the 200mg.
I have just been drinking water and sparkling water. I miss coffee SO MUCH. But I cut it out completely, even decaf. I wish I could find a safe warm drink for the winter. But I read so much conflicting information about teas it's easier just to avoid it all. Sigh.
I really thought this was to talk about all the booze we are missing. In any case, I actually like water so mostly that - seltzer is good too for something bubbly. Ginger ale helps for the nausea too.
And @sdavis2189I am so with you on the teas...I even bought a pregnancy tea that I wanted to try and then scared myself into thinking it was going to be bad for the bean. Why would it be marketed to preggos if it's not good? Gah.
I drink a lot of water, but I've found that orange juice (not from concentrate) and ginger ale are helping with my ms a lot. At work I also have two cups of Rooibos tea a day (naturally caffeine-free).
@sdavis2189 and @mrsmd1224 check out Rooibos tea. It comes from a bush rather than a tea plant and doesn't contain any caffeine. Obviously I'd ask your doctor before drinking it, but everything I've read online says that it's ok to drink and even beneficial to you and baby.
Almond milk has really been my craving when I need something heartier, especially dark chocolate almond milk! For some reason it settles my nausea. Other than a glass of that a day I also keep cut up lemons in the fridge and toss them in water several times a day. If I'm out to eat it is seltzer with lime.
I keep my daily cup of coffee but have really been avoiding other caffeinated beverages mainly bc of the added fake sugar and chemicals.
I'm constantly seeking something to quench my thirst! My taste seems to change throughout the day. Sometimes water, I started drinking apple and white grape juice a lot but I'm trying to not keep it in the house cause of all the sugar; cherry coke zer;, I was loving flavored sparkling water before bfp but now it isn't refreshing for some reason. Occasionally I want a glass of milk which I never ever drank before pregnancy. I used to drink 2 or 3 tall glasses of coffee a day but even though I got myself some decaf, I'm just not feeling it. Although I have been craving a java chiller from sonic soooo bad! Haven't given in to that one yet. But it's a big yet!
I try to drink as much water as possible. I know plastic bottles are horrible for the environment, but as long as I have those at home, I will drink a fair amount of water. Before I found out I was pregnant, I cut out sodas (I would drink Diet Dr. Pepper daily). I would drink coffee maybe a few times a week. But I cut out soda and coffee. But the way I cut them out was by substituting sugar free iced tea, and adding a bit of sweetener. So, I usually drink iced tea with a meal and water throughout the rest of the day. Since morning sickness kicked in, I've had Ginger Beer (not alcoholic, mixer for Moscow Mules ((think Root beer))), and Sprite has helped too.
I love the flavored sparkling waters. My go-to has been Schweppes Lemon/Lime flavor. I've added a splash of cranberry juice, a drizzle of homemade grenadine (1:1 ratio pomegranate juice to sugar), or some calcium-fortified orange juice for additional flavor occasionally.
I've also been drinking: milk, eggnog (the pasteurized, from-the-carton version but diluted with milk), apple juice, and water (like it's going out of style).
I love sparkling water. It's delicious with a slice of lime in it. I started drinking this a lot with my last pregnancy, when I had GD, so my drink options were really limited.
Is ginger beer okay to drink? I have heard mixed topics on ginger and early trimesters. I was told it's good for morning sickness however it can cause early contractions/miscarriage?
