@jillnj love your design board. Where can I put together a design board?
@MichelleAG05 omg I'm so sorry for the majorly delayed reply... I am supposed to get notifications but haven't been... Just saw your post as I was scrolling through. I used Olioboard. I still haven't done anything to the actual room
I chose this crib which I'm obsessed with!! It's been out of stock everywhere and finally came back in stock at Walmart so I'm hoping to order it soon before it disappears again!! That's all we are really waiting on. Once we get that and put it together I can put things on the walls and put all the bedding I made/my aunt made into the crib!!
Just finished first stage of my mural. The colour is actually a dusky purple, but it looks pretty brown on the photo! Gonna put up mini birdhouses I bought too. The cot will go in front of it.
Thanks @brushesnbrunch.. We decided on the white after finalizing the paint color (Benjamin Moore stonington gray I think it's called) I went to order it at kohls since it came with a free mattress and $60 kohls cash... And it was out of stock! So bummed! Back to the drawing board!

New walls (skim coat on ugly texture), ceiling popcorn removed, replaced nasty oak moulding and casing, replaced ugly brown shag carpet, and put some furniture up! Still need to decorate! FTM w/little girl due 2/10!

i saw that one on Amazon because it was on my list except my husband didn't like the asymmetry!
Definitely takes a creative mind to see the room's potential, but we're very excited! Can't wait until the armoire is completely done so we can move everything else in (crib, changing table, and rocker)

Aw really?? That's what I like about it! Different than anything I've seen before!
It's coming around. We have ordered a glider chair that should be here any day and still need to order her dresser. The closet clearly needs some organizing help also. This is it for now!
I found this beautiful dresser and mirror a few weeks ago that we're going to refinish. (It's in our room until we paint and shampoo the nursery.)
So fun! That's the same dresser and mirror I got for DD! Can't wait to see it refinished! We left it that off-white color with gold since it matched her room perfectly!

I thought something two-toned like this would be pretty. I'm debating if we should re-do the gold accents or not.
I had found something similar on craigslist that was two-tone. It was a creamy light pink on the outside parts and white on the drawers. It was gorgeous. I bought an antique bow-front dresser for my son's room that was baby blue and I painted it navy on the outside and green inside the drawers. You can see the original blue in the scrape on the front. I still need to fix that. Sorry for it being huge.

OMG that is my childhood furniture. That exact dresser is in my DDs room now. The bed, nightstand, and tall dresser are at my parents still. And actually one of the dressers was my moms growing up My mom painted the gold when I was younger. I love the look of that two toned nightstand too

That's awesome that you have the same one for your DD! I wanted to leave it the original color but it's beat up in some spots and the previous owner started refinishing the top in white.

Aww that's so cool that your DD has the dresser from your childhood! It's neat to be able to pass things like that along to our children.

I love your son's dresser! You did such a great job painting it! And your kitty is too cute!
So far I've accomplished nothing for the baby's room except paint the wall...but when the wall looks as awesome as I think this one does, I call that progress! We did buy child #2 a big girl bed this weekend so we can finally turn the toddler bed back into a crib for baby...now I just have to find the time to finish the rest of the nursery amid the busy holiday season!
I am loving all the pictures of the adorable nurseries!! Our is completely gutted for replacing plug ins, light fixture, light switch and walls.. Then we can finally paint and decorate
Here's my newest purchase for the nursery: vintage refurbished nightstand. Gray matches the crib perfectly and the blue matches the cabinet also in the room. Will be getting a chair from my IL's that my MIL actually built when she was working at a furniture store. We need to find a cover for it because right now it's a peachy pink velvet that doesn't match, but once we find the cover it'll make a great addition to the nursing corner..
Here's ours so far. We still have to add wall decor which will include some items that match the bedding as well as a wall of family photos. I'm thinking about adding shadow boxes on one wall with my baby items that my mom gave me at my baby shower. The room is small but it works
Our nursery is everything being stored in the garage as we get it because we have zero extra space! We've been clearing out space in our room and getting rid of old toys in the kid's room. This time next month I'll have more stuff brought in and set up, but I'm not worried about it yet because it would just be in the way. A friend is supposed to be giving us a dresser that needs some work and I wish they would hurry and bring it over so I can start on it.
On Monday I ordered the bedding and pretty much everything else we had left that we needed, so when it came in I went into full on nesting mode! Nursery/guest room is DONE! Wish we could paint the walls, but alas we cannot . . .
Our daughter's name is Ellington Rose, so we obviously went with a floral theme with touches of gold. Still waiting on our gold/yellow rug and white felt & crystal rose mobile, but happy with the progress we've made! Some fun touches include: the ivy from the baby shower, the calligraphy done by her godmother, and the pink baby shoes on the dresser that once belonged to her momma! Note: dad is a football fanatic so we managed to bridge the gap with a pink Seahawks helmet, ha!
