Trying to Get Pregnant

12 DPO - what do you think?

Hey everyone, I'm 12 dpo and have been having a bunch of symptoms that I don't usually have before AF. I had the Skyla IUD for a month but kept getting repeat PID so it was removed on Nov. 4th, I had a period Nov 5th-8th. My SO and I decided to ttc immediately, and we had intercourse every day up until about 5 days ago as he left for a job. I took a hpt at 9 dpo and it was negative, but I expected that since it was early. Here is my list of symptoms, all have been happening since 9 dpo.

-Nausea, randomly comes and goes throughout the day. Got sick at 9dpo and again today.
-Blurry vision, even with my glasses, if I look at words for more than 3 minutes my vision goes completely blurry for several minutes until I close my eyes and relax
-headache, I've had a headache nonstop all week, and nothing helps
-Sore throat, it isn't too bad, but it kind of feels like an uncomfortable scraping when I swallow
-Breasts tenderness
-Nipples more sensitive, and bumps are appearing on and around the areola
-My belly constantly feels like it's fluttering or tingling, and I keep feeling like I'm getting poked by my left ovary off and on throughout the day
-Skin sensitivity, my skin has been VERY sensitive, the smallest brush feels uncomfortable, not "pain" but uncomfortable
-Crying, I am not the type of person to cry... but the last two days I'm crying at my cat being cute when sleeping or a happy moment on a tv show
-Heavyness in my uterus, along with tightness

I've never felt anything like this before. I've tried several BC methods and gone off of them for awhile and never had symptoms like this, they usually just mirrored my expected AF symptoms. I just FEEL pregnant. It feels like I am a stranger in my body with all this new activity!

I've gone off HBC several times and each time felt very different.  It's completely 100% normal for it to take a while for your cycle to regulate itself.

Question- are you temping/charting?  Otherwise you don't know how many days past ovulation you actually are.  If you are temping/charting feel free to share it in the TWW thread.

However, please do not ask us if we think you are pregnant.  Only a test can tell you that and right now it's saying you're not.

It's against the TOS to ask if you are pregnant.  None of us here can answer that question for you.  If you don't know when you last ovulated (and it sounds like you don't since you're so newly off hormonal BC), test once a week until 60 days from your last AF or until AF comes again.  If you go 60 days without a positive test or AF, call your doctor.

  • If your symptoms are related to rpegnancy, you're far enough along to turn a test. So, test again. It's all we can tell you really...

Also just a suggestion to stop with the pink highlighted text in the future. Obviously you can do what you want, but it's really difficult to read that and will probably discourage people from reading your posts.

There is clearly no other explanation for any of this.

Actually, there is.  Novel "suspicious" symptoms tend to pop up when you are TTC.  Symptom spotting will drive you crazy, and it's just symptom spotting until you have a confirmed +HPT, so keep testing once a week until 60 days or AF.  I hate to say it, but unless you've confirmed O (eta via temping), it's possible that you haven't even ovulated yet.  No idea what to tell you for your list of symptoms in that case.

In the meantime, I'd definitely encourage you to read the newbie threads pinned at the top (where you'll learn that this post is against TOU) and to consider temping, which is the only way to actually confirm ovulation (period trackers don't).
