TTT!

1. I got a call yesterday that the job I interviewed for was given to another person because they were able to fill the position for a lesser salary. I am actually relieved!
2. I came to the realization that being a SAHM is so much more important to me than going back to work FT right now. I'm going to get a PT job to have some extra cash for us, and that should help us out enough.
3. I cannot, repeat, CANNOT believe it's December 1st already. Seriously!?
4. I made my daughter an Amazon wish list and then proceeded to buy everything off of it last night.
5. I love to give the gifts, hate to wrap the gifts.
6. It's 6:45am and I'm thinking about breakfast already.
7. My DD is a morning person. She wakes up so incredibly happy! I wish I was that happy when I woke up. I'm more like, don't talk to me for about a half hour and then we'll see how I'm feeling.
8. Since the thread about TMJ, I've been going to a chiropractor for adjustments. It's really helping. I get a little nervous each time I'm on the table, but it's been really helpful so far.
9. There has been zero progress on my new home for about a month. I'm getting nervous that if we don't get a lumber delivery soon, than we will have a long winter of just waiting. :(
10. My dog is snoring, H is snoring and DD is awake. The universe wants me awake. Happy Tuesday everyone!

Update: lumber was delivered today!! Yessssssssss!! I'm so happy!!!

Re: TTT!

  • 1. We finally got to schedule our anatomy scan! It's the morning of the 17th; I'm so excited to see LO's progress, be sure that he/she is still growing strong and healthy, and to find out the sex of the baby if he/she cooperates.
    2. DH starts a new job as a project engineer on Monday. I'm so excited, and so is he. The only downside is that this means he may not be able to come to the anatomy scan.
    3. The air vents that have been non-functional in our classrooms for almost two years started working again yesterday. The problem is that they haven't been cleaned, so they're just spitting dust all over the place. I'm tired of cleaning black balls and speckles off of myself and my desk and this is aggravating my asthma. *TMI* I blew my nose and it came out gray. Not cool.
    4. I have an email into our facilities manager about the above problem as I hide in the PD room during my prep so that I don't have an asthma attack yet today. I really hope he can get someone to either clean it or just turn it back off. I'd clean it myself except that it's 12 feet in the air...so...I can't.
    5. I'm really excited for Christmas and Christmas break. I love Christmas break because I sort of get to pretend like I'm a SAHM for a week. The drawback is that I get terrible Sunday night blues before I have to go back to work.
    6. I need to come up with a place to wrap Christmas presents after DS goes to sleep. Last year, I used a table in the basement so that I didn't have to hide everything away afterwards, but that space is occupied with bathroom reno stuff. I may have to take things out and put them away each night.
    7. I'm really looking forward to baking cookies with DS now that our oven works again. (Oh, and works again without a service charge! Apparently, the control panel just had to be reset by resetting the breaker. I'm glad that fix worked because otherwise we would have had to spend $350 for service and a new control panel).
    8. I've been stretching and doing deep squats and my hips feel much better now-- and I feel more flexible.
    9. I have a baby shower to go to this Saturday. This seems to be the year of babies in my circle of work/friends/family. There are 6 other people who I know that are having a baby this year. The sex breakdown is skewed, which I think is mildly interesting-- 5 boys, 1 girl. It makes me wonder if this LO will be the 6th boy born, or the 2nd girl.
    10. My family has started pestering me about names again. They know that they're picked out and we're not sharing because when we tried to include them in the beginning stages last time, we ended up with too much advice (even from members who haven't even gone through the naming process) and repeated emailed name suggestion lists when DH and I already had our short-list made that we had been discussing for years. They really want a hand in picking the names with us, and it's just not happening.

  • 1. We're taking the kids to see Santa at Pizza Hut tonight...DS#1 is NOT impressed by this. He only agreed to go because well...pizza.
    2. I have less than no motivation to clean my house this week. I better find it because DS#2's birthday party is here on Saturday.
    3. DH is off work today and tomorrow still :) I can't even express how exciting that is!
    4. I woke up so nauseous this morning. It's getting on my nerves.
    5. Frozen....I really wish it would go away.
    6. I've had to retype these twice. TB is giving me fits today!
    7. Black Friday shopping was a success here. Got the kids new movies to watch so they can stop complaining now...for a couple weeks anyway lol
    8. The idea of having 3 under 3 is terrifying to me. 2 under 2 never bothered me. But 3 under 3 is just scary lol
    9. DS#2 is ONE tomorrow! I'm excited and sad. They grow up so fast!
    10. The pregnancy bladder is real today. Holy crap. For someone who normally only goes 2x a day this going like a normal person thing is crazy talk!

    1. My husband took Monday - Wednesday off and the thought of him relaxing is making me very unproductive at work.
    2. I still haven't put up my Christmas tree - sad day!
    3. Family drama this past weekend - decided I'm giving a sibling a note for Christmas saying I'm paying back a portion of what she owes my parents. It breaks my heart to see grown adults take advantage of people like she does.
    4. I told my boss I was pregnant yesterday so I could start planting the seed for flexibility at work after the baby comes.
    5. Told my husband I wanted to be team Green, and he shot it down so fast.
    6. Had lunch with a college friend yesterday who also doesn't do social media, and it was so nice to actually to learn things in a face to face conversation!
    7. Chopping >12 inches of my hair off this upcoming Saturday and starting to freak out.
    8. We are doing holiday hours at work so 1/2 day Fridays, and I'm spending this one shopping with my  mother - excited for time with her!
    9. I want biscuits and gravy pretty badly right now.
    10. I'm trying to decide when to start my registry - should I go in store to start or begin online?

(edited to say the gift would actually be for Christmas)
  • 1. We're taking the kids to see Santa at Pizza Hut tonight...DS#1 is NOT impressed by this. He only agreed to go because well...pizza.

Wait..what??? This is the most amazing this I have ever heard! Santa, and pizza???

    1. I have all my Christmas shopping done except for something for DH. I am stumped. And I normally am really good at this but this year, I got nada...
    2. I LOATHE wrapping gifts. I always end up misplacing the scissors or tape. Or need to stop in the middle when I find out a store left the sensor on. Or this year, get to MIL gift to find that the price ticket is missing? How is that when the store rung it up? Now I need to go and get a ticket made...blahhhh
    3. Keeping the the Christmas gift theme, I sent DH links to things I would like yesterday. I am really against this and believe you should buy a gift from the heart. But I know if I don't steer him in the right direction Ill get workout clothes again this year. Which normally I like but since I am barely working out now, its not what I want.
    4. And speaking of working out, I really really really miss kickboxing. I know my 1st class back will be death.
    5. Both DH and I have off the week of Dec 28- lots to do! Anatomy scan, day care visits and I am finally going to change my last name. We also will be going to BRU to start our registry, even though I have bought a TON off of my wish list already!
    6. All of the "special" threads are irritating. We finally got the board on track and its a shit show again. I love having new members, but it really has thrown the culture around here. Take a few minutes to stalk March and April for example. Their board is so clean and organized, it makes me very jealous.
    7. I have stayed up until 10pm the last 2 nights watching Holiday baking shows. I am such a loooooseerrrr....
    8. Hating the book I am reading (@doozer1345, Think of a Number is realllly bad. Do you like it?) but I am 30% through and figure Ill keep reading. This book is going to take months to trudge through.
    9. DH gave me an hour long leg and foot massage last night and I am still in pain. These cramps/charlie horses and the continued pain in my feet like I am wearing heels is killing me. I guess its to be expected but I am over it already.
    10. This weekend I am meeting up with a friend for an Etsy popup shop (!!!). We used to be SUPER close, but have really drifted apart. We see each other maybe 2x a year and don't really talk besides that. Should I still bring her a little Xmas gift like lotion or something?

Jenly17 I love the positive vibes coming from your post. You seem really happy and content, which is great!

ETA: AliciaD39 I've got really long hair, too. The prenatals only made it grow faster! Anyhow, I can barely find the time to dry/style it now, so I'm wondering how long I can keep this length. What style are you going for? And @yogahh, my new go-to gift for situations like that are pretty cloth napkins. It's something that you wouldn't always buy yourself, but who doesn't like having some cute napkins around for when you have guests over to eat?

    1. I am sick with a cold and cough.
    2. I have been getting awful headaches, and the coughing is exacerbating them; make it stop!!!
    3. It's my last day of teaching for the semester!! I really enjoy teaching, but I need time right now to catch up with everything I'm behind on research-wise.
    4. I'm wearing new pea in the pod maternity jeans that my sister gave me! They look great and I feel great!
    5. I still haven't told anyone at work. When I"m here, I wear flow-ey tops and skinny jeans, which is my normal outfit anyways. I don't think anyone has noticed (at least, no one has said anything to me.) For some reason, I don't want to tell people at work because then I know people will be looking at my growing body, which makes me uncomfortable.
    6. BUT...the sooner I tell people, the sooner I can wear more of the stuff my sister gave me and new stuff I bought when my mom and I went to pea and the pod. I spent a little too much dough there, so I might as well get some use out of the clothes!
7 I layed in bed all afternoon and night and my sweet dog curled up next to me for pretty much the entire time, save for when my husband took her out for a walk. Sweet girl!
    8. The internet is a crazy thing. I bought ricola cough drops, and then came home to look online for info on whether they are safe or not. Threads on TB and elsewhere all warn of the DANGER of ricola cough drops. I called my dr. and she said they are 100% fine. Sometimes I think we have to remember that the dr. went to med school...the internet is an unruly mob of people.
    9. I wanted to return to the gym this week but I'm so tapped and tired and sick I can barely move. :(
    10. To end on a good note: T-9 days until I get to go to Maui for our honeymoon-turned-babymoon!!
ETA No. 11: Don't know where to put this, but I'll stick it here since it's bothering me: On the second tri board, TB has an article about great make-ahead freezer meals to have ready after you give birth.  And it's like a carb fest! It's all pasta pasta pasta potatoes. Now, I get that that stuff freezes well, but seriously...can they be slightly more creative/healthy?

  • @vinerie, If you want a bump friend to travel to Hawaii with you, I think I would be up for the challenge ;) HAVE FUN and post lots of pics so I can live vicariously through you!

  • 1. Today did not start out very well... First my mom called before I got up for work and interrupted the little sleep I already get, then when brushing my teeth before leaving my orange juice decided it did not like being in my stomach.
    2. Christmas lights are up and tree is going up today. Then all decorations will be done. Christmas!
    3. We got our stroller in the mail yesterday. First big baby purchase in the books.
    4. I just got paid today and I feel like all my money will be gone very soon... Bc you know, Christmas.
    5. Anatomy scan scheduled for 12/24. We're having the sex written down and we're opening it on Christmas morning. I'm pretty excited.
    6. We are NOT going to my dads house for Christmas and while he is going to be all pissy I do not feel bad. I got horribly sick from going there last year from one of the bajillion little kids running around. We are going a day or 2 after... I just want to avoid the crowd. We are however going to DH's uncles house. Calm and quiet. I'm actually looking forward to it.
    7. The dog decided it would be hilarious to grab DH's wallet the other day... since DH thinks it's a phenomenal idea to always leave things where the dog can get them no matter how many times I tell him. It's amazing that he never happens to get my stuff... ;) This would be fine too except he ruined his work badge which is used as a key to get in the door, his Disney pass, and literally 4 different credit cards.
    8. My turkey trot 5k ended up being more of a 10k. The parking was literally like a mile and a half from the start and we had to walk. Not so bad for me. DH hated me by the time we got back to the car though.
    9. My appetite is finally back. I want to eat everything. Can't wait to see what this means for my weight gain the rest of the pregnancy. :|
    10. I spent all day online yesterday trying to pick gifts for DH. Nothing. And he won't give me a list bc he keeps saying he'll do it later. And he always waits till a few days before Christmas. He is king of procrastination.

  • ETA: AliciaD39 I've got really long hair, too. The prenatals only made it grow faster! Anyhow, I can barely find the time to dry/style it now, so I'm wondering how long I can keep this length. What style are you going for?

Something like attached - long enough to pull back to work out, but it will take SO much less time blow drying so maybe I'll get up in the morning and start working out again?

I always wanted to wait until after the baby because its so easy to braid right now, but I don't think I can last that long. How long are you growing yours? Mine is to my belly button right now.

I hear you on this... blah. I work in a sales office with several men who just do not understand some comments are not okay. I think some suspect now because one coworker flipped out, but I'm waiting as long as I can to confirm.

    Have fun in Hawaii!!
  • @yogahh did you watch the all-star gingerbread house build show? I stayed up til 10 watching it last night...  also, where is the Etsy pop-up?!

No, I have been into the Baking Championship on Food Network, and last night started the one on ABC which was kinda a snooze fest!
The Etsy shop is at Chelsea Market this weekend!! I secretely hope they have lots of baby things :)

  • @vinerie I find it so weird that they recommend so many pasta/potatoes dishes. I actually think those don't freeze as well as protein/veggie things (with the exception of lasagna and waffles). Anyway, I'm a big fan of this book: https://www.amazon.com/Make-Ahead-Meals-Made-Healthy-Freezer-Friendly/dp/1592334636 for freezer/make ahead meals and food-blogs like this https://thrivinghomeblog.com/healthy-recipes-index/healthy-freezer-meals-recipes/ and this https://www.thekitchn.com/stock-up-on-freezer-meals-week-2-in-search-of-lighter-healthier-freezerfriendly-recipes-spring-projects-from-the-kitchn-202240
  • 1.  I took Thursday off as my last vacation day.  We're having our anatomy scan done & then going out to breakfast and working on the house.
    2. We're having people over on Saturday night to eat a reveal cake.  I have thought about all the pros and cons of a reveal party, but then I realized that it's just a fun excuse to have people over and celebrate.  So many bad things have happened over the last few years that I want to embrace the opportunity to celebrate and eat cake.
    3. I was happy to see all the rock and play posts yesterday, because I had already picked one out to use as our bassinet etc. based on the reviews.  IMO a specific bassinet is money better spent elsewhere unless it's a family heirloom...then again, I'm a FTM so I actually KNOW basically nothing ;)
    4.  I started reading a book on breastfeeding and it's hard to get into because it very clearly has an agenda of "breastfeed your baby or you are a horrible person and your baby will probably just die or grow up to be very stupid."  I want to BF but I definitely don't feel that it's the only way to go about feeding your child...if the tone of the book doesn't mellow I may abandon it for another.
    5.  I found out that my SIL, who just adopted a baby, would have been able to BF even though she didn't give birth, if she had had enough time to go through the process of medically inducing her milk to come in.  I thought this was fascinating!!  I had no idea that was an option for adoptive moms.  However, their baby was placed with no warning (which apparently happens almost never, so surprise!!) so she had to go the formula route.
    6. I'm a bit ahead of the game Christmas-shopping-wise this year, which basically never happens.  It's kind of great.  I am stuck on my husband's gift though.
    7. Work is on my nerves.  It just is.
    8. Along the lines of a previous poster, our honeybabymoon is coming up quick!!  January 3rd to Cancun...I can't wait to be warm on the beach reading books that have nothing to do with weddings or babies :)
    9. My parents bought us a crib and it's being delivered today.  First big baby item...it makes me a little nervous.  I'm not superstitious in general, but a friend of mine just miscarried & she had already bought a bunch of stuff including "baby's first Christmas stocking" and I tear up thinking about how I would feel having to look at stuff like that now if I were her :(  I am significantly farther along than she was, and I know the odds are minuscule that something will be wrong at the anatomy scan...but still, I really did want to wait until after to get any stuff.  That being said, don't look a gift crib in the mouth!! :D
    10. I too loath wrapping gifts.  Christmas, birthday, shower, you name it.  This may change when I have kids old enough to excitedly tear off paper though...but for now, it just strikes me as a waste of everything.

  • 1. I got super spoiled by taking a personal day yesterday for a million doctor's appointments right after Thanksgiving break. Now, it feels so bizarre to be at work.
    2. I had a 2 hour break between appointments yesterday so I went home and...watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Should've probably done laundry or cleaned, but nope, watched HP.
    3. I had a ridiculously graphic sex dream last night that involved a mysterious stranger and me wearing nothing but my church choir robes...I was more than a little disturbed, but when I told MH about it, he just raised his eyebrows and gave a sly smile. Hmmmm...
    4. On Sunday we had the Advent Workshop and Potluck Supper at church. For about 10 min. I was helping in the kitchen and completely forgot that I was there alone with my 2 year old son. When I remembered, I went to look for him only to see him sitting at a table, chowing on carrot sticks and hummus and chatting away with our pastor, asking him what his plans were for Jesus's birthday and if he should bring a birthday cake to church. Later in the night, he played piano for everyone and sang "Jesus Loves Me". It is at times like that that I really wonder how I am so blessed to have such a wonderful child.
    5. I feel guilty about it, but it feels so awesome to not have our demon cat anymore. I can actually relax at home and didn't realize how much stress we all were under before.
    6. I thought I would be more anxious to know the sex of the baby, but after I got over the initial angst over having a sealed envelope after the anatomy scan yesterday, I am strangely at peace knowing we will find out with the big reveal my younger sister has planned for Christmas. I am so excited!
    7. I still need to remember to take my unisom. Forgot last night and have been hurling since I woke up. Blech.
    8. I am starting to get really frustrated with my son's daycare. I told them he can't have straight up cow's milk and even provided almond milk for him, but they keep giving him cow's milk and then freaking out when he has loose BMs, calling me to pick him up because he *might* have a stomach bug. But, no fever, and he is acting fine. So...nope, no stomach bug. Just lactose intolerant, as I have told them a million times. They have said they need a doctor's note saying that he can't have cow's milk, but in all my years as a SCHOOL NURSE I have never heard of a doctor writing such a note to confirm. Usually, lactose intolerance is just diagnosed by trial and error and testing elimination diets. There really isn't a test they do in the doctor's office unless it is an allergy to milk proteins.
    9. The more weight I lose, the more prominent my bump looks and I am loving it!
    10. This round ligament pain is really bugging me, especially in the morning when I try to stretch and feel the little twang. Ugh...might be time to break out the body pillow.

  • 1. My Vera Bradley Christmas gift order arrived early yesterday! So much color!!!!
    2. My cloth diaper order also came early and my DH thought they looked cute
    3. Our Bob stroller arrives in the mail today and I can't decide if I should leave it in the box or take it out and play around with it right away
    4. My MIL has zero restrictions on sugar consumption at her house when my nieces are there, I'm slightly terrified for how my kid will act after visits to grandma's house
    5. I'm actually feeling caught up at work
    6. I just finished my list and accidenly deleted it....
    7. My husband refuses to fold fitted sheets so I always have to do it
    8. We are playing a family team at curling tonight. The secret to winning will be getting them to argue with each other
    9. I pay extra for Annie's Bernie O's because I feel better about eating organic junk food
    10. I have one really sweet dog and one goofy/weird dog

    1. I'm probably only doing this list because I'm procrastinating finishing this work project. My deadline is today and I am so ridiculously behind.
    2. If I see one more Ferrero Rocher commercial I'm going to drive to the store and buy a huge package of them. Last night while watching tv I saw EIGHT commercials for them. C'mon! My self control is not that good.
    3. I'm hoping mine and DH's bad luck has run out. In the last 2 weeks we've had both car batteries die. So yesterday I was stranded at home with DD when I desperately needed her to go to daycare so I could finish my project!
    4. I'm really over this potty-training thing. DD has been doing really well lately until she peed all over my couch last night.
    5. I'm really awful at wrapping presents and DH is really good so I always talk him into wrapping all the presents.
    6. My mom is having surgery next week to do a biopsy/possibly remove an ovary because there's a possibility she has ovarian cancer. I'm really freaking out but I can't let her see that I'm worried too!
    7. Both of our families keep making comments about how they hope the baby is a boy or "it better be a boy" and it's getting on my nerves. Hopefully the kid is healthy. It almost makes me want to keep them in the dark for a few weeks after we find out but I know I can't keep a secret like that. DH and I would both love to have a boy this time, but on the other hand we have all of DD's clothes still and we wouldn't have to buy much at all. I just can't wait to find out.
    8. Thanksgiving this year wore me out. There was so much driving around and trying to get DH to work on time (he's a retail manager and of course had to work). I think I'm still not caught up on sleep and all I want to do is nap!
    9. My dad just offered to buy our car seat which is awesome! We've been so busy with everything else that we haven't even talked about what we need to buy and when we're planning on looking.
    10. I'm so excited for Christmas this year with DD but I'm still unsure about how we're going to handle Santa. We've never really talked to her about him before and at this point I'm just not sure if I want to do the Santa thing.

ETA: @yogahh are you watching holiday baking championship?!? I'm so sad Padua went home! He was one of my favorites!
  • 1. Our double bob came and I too am anxious to play with it... @EErin86
    2. I was honest with my midwife about my plan to ski, and she was supportive! Obviously went over risks and such, but I'm glad she wasn't totally restrictive about it.
    3. I was starving. Then I found a ton of leftover pizza in the staff fridge. Win!
    4. I struggle with Christmas gifts...particularly when people ask what I want. I always want shit but when I'm asked I blank.
    5. We are planning two weekends of Christmas light fun (the arboretum and zoo) and I'm so excited!
    6. I'm sick of Thanksgiving leftovers.
    7. Fixer Upper is baaaackkkk!!!!!
    8. I'm committed to starting my Pilates video tonight. Must. Exercise.
    9. I supervise interns and they are such an investment. I'm honored to teach young professionals but man, sometimes they make me scratch my head.
    10. DS has a bear winter hat and growls like a bear in it. Basically my heart could explode.

  • 7. Fixer Upper is baaaackkkk!!!!!
    .

I know!!! So excited. Sort of obsessed with this show!
  • 1. Dude 17 weeks and bump shrinkage is so real. I really don't look pregnant at all today.
    2. I crave celery and carrots. My Dr. wants me to gain weight because I'm still down 12 from my prepreg weight, but that's not going to happen if I keep eating dry Cheerios, celery, and carrots for lunch.
    3. I tried backing off the Zophran and using Diclegis instead over the weekend. No bueno! I puked several times
    4. I'm so used to yacking now that I don't give it much thought. H's called me out because I told some people I don't get sick anymore. That's not totally true. I don't get sick everyday anymore... now it's just like 3-4 times a week. That's such an improvement for me though.
    5. I swear my groin and inner thighs feel like I've been riding a horse. I really need to find a new yoga studio and return to classes. My last studio never dropped the temp below 80... too hot for prenatal classes.
    6. We have our tree up, but we haven't put lights or any decoration on it yet. If I'm honest with myself it won't happen until the weekend.
    7. A coworker gave me 3 bags full of maternity clothes. I'm so grateful, but every time I look at the piles I just think about needing to wash it all. I hate doing laundry.
    8. The above reason is why I'm wearing leggings to work today. Not usually my thing, but I'm taking advantage of the fact that people don't usually feel comfortable calling out the pregnant woman for what she has on.
    9. I got a Snoogle last week. I love this thing, but it is the ULTIMATE cock blocker. Sorry hubs.
    10. It was hard, but I passed up all the baby shopping from Friday and yesterday. There were a lot of great deals, but we aren't registering for much and I know my shower will be on the larger side. So, I'm leaving these purchases for friends and family. Hopefully this doesn't bite me in the ass.

  • 1. Our Elf on the Shelf arrived today. My daughter (who is 8) is so excited. I love seeing the holidays through her eyes.

    2. I'm glad she still believes. She knows other kids don't but she knows "You don't believe, then you don't receive." I'd keep believing too.

    3. We're putting up our Christmas tree tonight! Love getting out all of our decorations and my daughter is excited for the magnetic advent calendar that I've had since I was 7.

    4. December is so busy between Dr's appts, DD's school functions/ parties, company Christmas dinners. But I enjoy it!

    5. I want to hurry and finish my Christmas shopping. I made a good dent but I'm ready to be done.

    6. We went camping this past weekend and my daughter rode her quad by herself for the first time. It was so cute and she was so proud of herself. We had such a good time.

    7. After seeing the holiday dress thread, I want to go dress shopping. We always dress up on Christmas Eve and I want to find something flattering. I'm in that awkward-looks-like-I-ate-too-many-burritos phase.

    8. I've been good about working out but I have to do my holiday baking. I make treats to bring them to work. Now if I can just not eat them.

    9. The only thing I bought on Cyber Monday was maternity clothes.

    10. Guess I should go back to working now.

Can I join you ladies on this thread?? :)

    1. I took off for Thanksgiving from Tuesday-Friday but haven't felt rested because I was on the go the WHOLE time. I need a vacation from my vacation.

    2. It won't stop raining. It's been raining since Saturday night and it supposed to rain through tomorrow as well. :(

    3. DH and I didn't buy anything for our little bean on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I am not wondering if that was a mistake. Should we have at least gotten a crib??

    4. I ordered cloth diapers on Black Friday and am very excited for them to come in! I am glad DH agreed to cloth diaper.

    5. We have our anatomy scan on December 21. I CANNOT wait to see little bean again. :D

    6. I wanted to have my cousin make a cake and we do a reveal with the family so we all find out at the same time, but DH refused to wait, even if it was later that evening. He is so excited to know the sex. I wouldn't mind waiting, as long as baby is healthy I don't really care either way!

    7. I thought I had gotten a lot of Christmas shopping done, until I realized that 70% of the presents were for my godkids. I still have the majority of shopping to do for DH.

    8. I don't really want anything for Christmas.

    9. DH ordered me a new camera for my birthday/Christmas gift. (Birthday was 11/27.) I can't wait for it to come in. He asked our BIL for camera ideas and he recommended a $550 camera. WTF!! I am not a photographer, I am an amateur, I didn't need an expensive camera. I found once I loved on sale for like $199. He got me that and an SD card.

    10. I can't wait to leave my appointment (for work) so I can go to the gym.

  • @Jenly17 totally get where you're coming from with the wrapping. Last year I found a tutorial (if you want to call it that) on Pinterest to "wrap" presents by tying them into scarves. Soooo much easier, so pretty, and it's another gift!

  • @yogahh OMG right?! It started out good though right? I kinda feel like it's the same thing happening over and over. He goes to see his friend, comes home, pisses off his wife, stares at pictures, then next day repeat. It has to get better! I feel like I've already too far to stop.

  • @adorkablepixie..which camera?  I've been looking for one in that price range for my DH as well.
  • @Knottie25455542 It's a cannon something or other. It was on sale Black Friday, was originally $394. Amazon might still have it on sale though. I'll ask DH and get back to you!

  • 11. Some jerk opened their car door on ours at the grocery store parking lot during lunch. We got his license plate but he drove away. Insurance company basically told us we can try to file a claim but if the guy just denies it (which of course he will) then we probably won't get anything. Of course it left a small dent and took off some paint. And of course the car is only 2 months old. :|
  • @Charla1224 I didn't do any baby shopping either, except for gender neutral cloth diapers. I am going to have to google what a Snoogle is.

@laurenmdrn16 I've had some pretty strange dreams too. lol

@dsmith211 What state do you live in? Do you pay for uninsured insurance? Someone just recently hit my car while I was at work and drove off. Apparently I can have it covered through my insurance and just pay a $250 deductible because I live in Maryland and I pay for the uninsured insurance. It covers both uninsured drivers and hit and runs!

Edit: Also, because it isn't my fault my insurance won't go up. They assured me. lol

    2 things
1- t&p for your moms surgery and that everything turns out ok!
2- I was happy to see Padua go. I thought he was a bit full of himself. I LOVE the Cuban guy and his gorgeous cakes!

I just cant get into it. The one guy just died (seriously, I cant even remember his name... I am really invested huh?). But I spent $10 for this book and I am going to read it and love it damn it!

  • 1. I'm a little down today, not sure why.
    2. I actually love wrapping presents! I find it therapeutic.
    3. I have not purchased a single Christmas present yet and probably won't until the very last minute. I am not a planner.
    4. My mom and MIL are working together to throw the baby shower. I told them my one request is that it be co-ed. This LO is just as much my husband's as mine and I'd like to have him there. My mom is coming into town this weekend and wants to find a venue and talk about our registry which is a bit overwhelming. I'm not registering for anything until after our anatomy scan but we can talk about it all she wants.
    5. I'm really excited for my company's holiday party in a couple weeks! They always have incredible food and decor. I am obsessed with hors d'oeuvres.
    6. My BFF lives in San Francisco and I miss her all the time. She just found out she has PCOS caused by insulin resistance, which she never knew she had. After 11 months of TTC, the news was hard to hear but at least they have a plan now and it is not a hopeless diagnosis. There is a good chance that she will conceive on her own in 2016 (fingers crossed!). In the beginning of my pregnancy we went the longest ever without speaking because I wanted to give her space to deal, she appreciated it and has since been nothing but an amazingly supportive friend despite her own troubles. I am so lucky to have her in my life!
    7. I was really disappointed in the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead.
    8. I'm excited to get our lil' Christmas tree this year. We only have room for a 1-2 footer, but I love how festive and cozy it makes our apartment feel.
    9. I was supposed to have an OB appt today but two of her patients went into labor so we had to reschedule for Thursday.
    10. I think it is very possible that our anatomy scan will reveal that we are actually having a boy and not a girl after all. Not that I don't trust the elective ultrasound place we went to, it's just a weird feeling I have.
  • Yes @yogahh Santa and pizza! AND for every person that gets the buffet, the local church (who is providing Santa) gets 3 bucks :) it's a win win win! I'm beyond excited even if my kids are still scared to death of Santa! Lol

This. This for some reason makes me super nervous. I don't like surprises and I'd feel like oh man...now I have no idea and have to wait until may to know for sure! Either way I bet the baby will be an adorable little bundle :)

We're in Florida. I think we have a similar thing on our policy, but from what the body shop at the dealer told us we may luck out if the claim doesn't go through. It is either going to be covered by our maintenance plan we bought (they cover one small scratch/dent per year) and if not that it shouldn't be more than $75. Just a pain. It makes it worse that I know the guy knew what he did. We saw him look at our door around his as soon as it happened. And then he quickly drove away.
  • @LadySamLady I'm pretty disappointed with TWD. I feel like all they did for the entire half of this season is find ways to drag it on without giving us any answers. Seriously they needed to do an hour and a half episode and the whole thing was about Morgan? And then leave the mid season finale still without reallllly answering anything? So annoying!
  • @LadySamLady I have a similar situation with my BFF (who moved away last year and I miss her terribly) who is having her own issues TTC her second. She's so incredibly supportive but I find that it's so hard to talk to her about my pregnancy, even when she asks. It breaks my heart. Anyway, I'm glad your BFF has a game plan, and I hope she's not far behind you!
