I'd say it looks like one, but if your doctor doesn't know then why would we? A friend had something similar happen and it eventually it was confirmed as one. You'll just have to wait for another scan.
Side funny: sometimes I reverse image search to see if people stole pictures to catfish with. Apparently google thinks that this is a picture of the moon.

My doctor is unsure if there's a second baby inside! This is what the scan looked like and I'm measuring bigger than I should. What do you think?
My doctor could see there were two since I was around 6 weeks. It worries me yours can't tell at this stage, but you'll have to wait it out, patiently.
I wasn't assuming that anyone was a medical professional and would know. I was just asking for honest opinions.. Thought it would be fun to read responses while waiting for my scan. Clearly, this is the wrong site to ask for opinions.

Yes, I am waiting patiently lol. Just thought it would be interesting to get other opinions. My friend had a hidden twin and they didn't find it until 18 weeks. I'm happy with one baby or four babies. Thanks for the input. Scan in a week

Hidden twins are really rare though. Docs can not only looks for twins by looking for two fetuses but they can also look for 2 gestational sacs, 2 heartbeats, AND look for 2 yolk sacs. If you only saw one gestational sac, one yolk sac, one heartbeat, and one fetus then it is most likely you are having a singleton.

And my honest opinion is that I am not qualified to read an ultrasound and therefore you need to wait for another scan. Usually twins are very obvious.

Most of the Bumps members do not find a lot of fun in figuring out how many babies another member is carrying, what sex someone's baby will come out, when someone will deliver or like to play the "old wives tales" games. Other sites may have more of that mentality, but TB members mostly focus on science.

I don't understand why people have to make me feel bad or make fun of my question because I'm not "most" of the bump population. It seems that if someone isn't interested in answering the question I asked, they don't need to respond at all. I'm allowed to ask questions that aren't science related. It's a forum.. It seems people are only trying to make me feel unwelcome each time I post. Doesn't seem fair.

Right, but then since most people don't like to play those games here, the just responded to tell you that. So what if no one responded (since they won't want to play the games), then you would have gotten mad that no one played along. See how that works?

You can't just arrive here and expect people to change the well established tone of this community just for you. You sure are free to post whatever you want but when you do that you have to accept not everyone is going to reply in a way that you like. As mentioned above, there are other sites where these sort of questions are encouraged and you might have better luck there. Otherwise, if you're going to stick around, I suggest you lurk more to get a feel for the board.

It is if you yourself said that you "didn't really think anyone would know" and "just wanted opinions". You got opinions.

Each time you post? This is the only thread you have posted on. If you every lurked here, even for a day (not the 3 day waiting period. Which is what it is for... lurking)., you will see that looking at U/Ss is not looked on with glee and joy here. That has been TB for the 8 years that I have been here. The Bump is known for scientific and factual information. Since we are not trained to read U/S, we can not give medical or factual advice.
seriously, you need to lurk around. you cant just show up & tell people how the show should be ran. as previously stated, you can definitely post what you want, but don't complain if/when people don't react the way you want them to. everyone here has recieved responses I'm sure they didn't want or expect. shrug it off & move on.
if your doctor has no idea if there's twins or a shadow, not a single person on here will be able to tell you. looking at sonograms & taking a wild guess at what I'm looking at isnt fun to me, or a lot of other ladies here.
The person with 10+ years of post high school training has said they can't tell. What on earth makes you think any of us here, with no such training, would be able to tell in such a situation? No one here is trying to be mean, but no one wants to offer medical advice when they are not properly trained to do so and they are happy to tell you that. Speculating about other people's ultrasounds is not fun for most people on this site.
OK, everyone is hormonal, so let's just all walk away with our mucous plugs in tact.
No. Just no. It is comments like this that put women down. It is comments like this that makes this word need Feminism.
Not every one on this board is pregnant. Not all pregnant women are hormonal and let their emotions get away. I am OFFENDED by you and this statement that I have no control over my thoughts, feelings and actions due to my pregnancy.

---------------------------------------- Thank you! I hate that hormones are so easily blamed by some people on this site. Yes, pregnancy effects hormones-- but do I allow it to make me indiscriminately act rude or bitchy? NOPE. No one here was acting hormonal (whatever that even means), they were just stating their opinions. AND as pp stated, not everyone that posts on the tri boards is pregnant so that puts a nice gaping hole in your hormone theory.....

Nope. Not a valid excuse. I am an adult who is capable of thinking for myself and not allowing hormones to control me. Maybe you should try it sometime.
You guys are too catty, bump was made for helping people not breaking down. Life is too short for all that aggression
Nobody is breaking down. It's not a support group, it's a public forum. Nobody is even being aggressive. You and OP don't like the opinions received, but that's not aggression.

Haha! Definitely not the moon. I usually cut out the info at the top just because I don't think people need my name or location.

Not sure what the point of this thread is ?
You want people to guess if there is more than one for fun?
