I did that last year when I was on sick leave. I ended up watching all 8 seasons of House while crocheting. It was very therapeutic and I love House.
I despise House!!! It's all lies!!!!
For medical shows, ER was really amazing. They really did their research and everything, every case they showed was super accurate. You could learn Medicine watching it. Now House.... A complete exaggeration sprinkled with some lies in the name of drama. Blah!
But it's ALWAYS para-neoplastic syndrome!! Also, I now want ER on Netflix ASAP!
In my 17 years in Medicine I think I have only seen one or two patients, at most, with paraneoplastic syndrome!

AND ITS NEVER LUPUS! I know it's not correct but I love the characters and the dynamics in that show. I used to watch ER a lot. I'm really liking Code Black right now on CBS.
Back in Brazil, maybe. In this part of the world, it barely exists.

Syphillis has been on the rise in my area ever since we got back from Korea. So gross.
But to get tertiary syphillis one needs to NOT treat the original infection and then many many years go by.... Nowadays if ppl get the STD, they get it treated. So we don't really see tertiary nowadays...

Yes, I know, and I also work with a strange demographic in that respect.
