My office doesn't do a first appointment until 7 weeks. I've had 2 MC's thought so I have an email in to my DR to get betas and progesterone checked.
My office does a phone appointment pretty early to get basic information, make sure you are taking a prenatal, etc. First appointment at 7 weeks to go over first trimester basics and a TV ultrasound. Next appointment at 11 weeks for another ultrasound, bloodwork, and genetic testing if wanted.
Honestly, all OB offices operate differently. At mine, they won't allow you to come in until 7-8 weeks for a confirmation appointment and then a week or two later you can get an u/s and physical exam (pap smear, speak with NP about the dos and don'ts).
At the confirmation appointment, they give me a urine test and give me general information about how the practice operates and how often to expect appointments.
I recommend calling as soon as you get a positive test just to get on the books.
I called the day after my positive test and they scheduled me for a confirmation appointment next week. They told me at that appointment we'll schedule the next one where they will do the first ultrasound. I'm hoping that will be before Christmas, but I guess we'll see!
I'm high-risk so as soon as I got my BFP, I had my first beta and my second beta today. Provided that is good, I'll have my first u/s at 6-7 weeks. I think more like 8-9 weeks is normal.
First one is next week and I think I will be 5w2d I believe this is only a confirmation apt. I think it's everything but the u.s. Ftm so I'm not sure what to expect beside urine sample and blood tests.
I'm at 4 1/2 weeks-my 2 betas showed doubling every 20 hrs. Since appointments slots can fill up fast, I called today and asked if I could schedule an ultrasound. It's on 12/17
My doctor typically sees patients at 10 weeks, but since I had a miscarriage in June, he wants me to go in at 6. I'm pretty sure 8-10 weeks is very normal!
My doctor is my colleague and very good friend, I had my positive test yesterday and she immediately asked for a blood test(I was so surprised to see a positive, I called her from the loo), it was 70, and I go in for a repeat on Monday. I meet with her on Monday and plan things out.

I also had a blood test yesterday (my doctor wanted it asap due to having previous miscarriages) and it was 69. Strange that it's that close to yours hopefully I'll be going in on Monday again to see how much it's gone up.
Is that within the normal range? Because on the chart my doctor has it showed that at 4-5 weeks it should be at least 100.

I was worried about the same, read it somewhere that on the day of missed period, it's normally between 60 to 80. My doc asked me to get a repeat on Monday, collect report and see her Monday eve. Fingers crossed and good luck !
Feeling super bummed out. Called my OB-GYN office just now to schedule my first visit, and was told that one of my doctor's didn't have any openings until Jan, and the other didn't until APRIL. The scheduler took down my info and said that my first Dr.'s nurse would give me a call Monday and would hopefully be able to squeeze me in somewhere. I really really like this office, and both doctors I've seen there, and I don't want to have to find another. Although I know the timing is tough, I was seriously hoping to get in a few days before Xmas (I should be exactly 8 weeks on Xmas) so that I could feel confident about telling family then.

So January is normal and fine, but April?! You've been to this office, yes? That wait time seems more like what they'd give to a new patient, not an existing patient.
When I was in the US, my OB would schedule an appointment after a positive HPT. I'm in the UK now, and this is my first time trying to navigate a pregnancy through the NHS. We're trying to decide whether to go with NHS or private care, so I made an appointment with each on December 14 and 16 respectively.
I went in for a blood draw this week to check my thyroid antibody levels (an issue in my last pregnancy), and they were already off so I have appointments scheduled for that too.
I have an appointment at seven weeks right before Christmas but they won't do an ultrasound until 10 weeks! I'm so upset! I really wanted it before I told my family at Christmas.

Whew! They were able to get me in for a confirmation appointment next Wednesday (I'll be 5wk, 5 days). Keeping my fingers crossed that after that I can schedule an U/S appointment a few days before Xmas...
Just made mine today. Skipping the intake appointment with a midwife and seeing my OB directly on 12/28. I'll be 9+4 according to LMP, but likely only 8+4. Worried I won't be able to hear the heartbeat then, but maybe she'll be able to do an ultrasound to help reassure me.

I think it would be too early to hear a heartbeat on a Doppler but you should definitely see it on an ultrasound.
@mrsgillham14 That was my thought too, but at myd&c follow up appointment, she said she'd get me in at 8 weeks to check the heartbeat and move on to an ultrasound if she couldn't find it that way. Maybe my OB is just a doppler ninja? lol

I guess it's possible. My doctor won't try a Doppler til later. Hopefully your doctor can find it. It sounds like she would switch right to ultrasound that day if she doesn't though.
My appointment/US isn't until 12/29. I will be a little over 8 weeks. They don't do confirmation appointments. I hate having to wait so long. I guess I will have to take weekly pregnancy tests until then to make me feel better.
I am not able to go to see a doctor until the 8th and my hematologist on the 7th, which has me worried because I'm a high risk blood clotter with a history of recurrent mc. Luckily I've started the Lovenox protocol as soon as I got the faint bfp.
Since I'm out of town for the holidays for a long stretch my initial and OB appointments are back to back on Jan 12 and 13th. I'll be about 10 weeks-- so pretty late! Wish it could be earlier especially with family/ the holidays but glad to at least get the two back to back.
I just went to the OB's office to have my official blood test this morning. I hear back tomorrow, but I had all BFP's the past three mornings (the line keeps getting darker!), so this will just massively confirm.
We scheduled our first U/S for 12/18 (when I will be almost 7 weeks). Our doc said they just make sure that everything is moving along as it should with the pregnancy. She also said they can tell at that time if you are having twins, or an ectopic pregnancy etc. She also recommended we start writing down any questions we have and bring them to the appointment.
FX all of us are having healthy pregnancies, and no complications are found during the first U/S!!
I got my positive test last Wednesday and called to make my appt this morning. Would have done it sooner but with the holidays they were closed. My first appt is January 4th, I will be almost 9 weeks. Seems like forever!
Are all of you ladies getting ultrasounds at your first appointments? Some of you mention you are. My first appointment won't include an ultrasound and I'm super bummed about it.

My doctor does ultrasound at first appointment then the lab work, exam, etc at the second. It's fairly normal to not have an appointment until 8-10 weeks and no ultrasound til then or even later.
