Glad you're going in tomorrow @ChrissyMarie128 . Especially because these kinds of things can be normal at this point in pregnancy, but being PGAL makes our minds go to worst possible place. Sending you so many (((hugs)))
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. PGAL certainly does mess your pregnant emotions and concerns. Hope I get to tell you all I just went a little crazy by tomorrow afternoon.
My brown spotting was nearly nothing yesterday which is good. I was anxious all day yesterday becaus I felt great. Doing the typical lack/loss of symptoms obsession. Then I fell asleep at 8:00 because I was exhausted from a trip to Williams Sonoma for turkey brine. I guess I am not totally "normal" me & should be counting my blessings I don't have nausea.
Another check tomorrow at 8:45. Hopefully my anxiety will lessen a little more once we get another look and heart rate number. The last time we saw a heartbeat and then I miscarried a few days later, so it's been hard not to worry.
@MrsBinPA I'm soooo in the same boat. Same thing happened to me with my loss. It's just so hard not to obsess. I haven't done a single thing but lay around and do nothing so far all weekend. It's like I'm afraid to exert myself in anyway. Which is not good. But I'm also very tired. FX for us all!!
I was doing well for a couple weeks, but I'm 8w today and have felt less symptomatic the last couple days. Of course my brain has been going a mile a minute and all I can do is Google "less symptoms 8w" and crap. PGAL is a roller coaster. I'm still nauseous, just not quite as dragged down, not AS sick. And I'm usually sick until 20w, so this is unusual for me. I'm hoping it's just the new med I'm on. Ugh! Thank goodness I have my second ultrasound tomorrow.
I'm also torn about telling my extended family on Thanksgiving. I won't be making a big announcement, because I'm not ready to tell my 4yo. But this will be the only time I see some of my cousins until probably Easter. I'm just going to wait and see how I feel that day, I think. I'm definitely going to tell my brother and his wife. When are you all sharing?
Hope everybody has great ultrasounds tomorrow! @acadia07 I hope involve your Google search and that you found that the placenta starts to take over a lot of the hormone load around eight weeks? Because that's true.
Have had two previous losses, one was possible ectopic and the other was a vanishing twin. Now 5 weeks pregnant with #3 by frozen embryo transfer. VERY nervous though because while my betas are doubling, they are still on low side. I had had three so far, and two more next week. Then finally ultrasound prob a week from now. So much anxiety from previous losses and weird betas now, it's hard to be excited. =/

I laid around ALL day & napped for a few hours. Bam! More brown spotting. Booooo!!
FX for anyone else with appointments tomorrow!! I really need to know what's going on in my ute regardless of the outcome.
Sending so many thoughts and prayers your way! Hopefully it's just spotting. I know with our experience, we always think the worst… But there are definitely a lot of women that have spotting still have healthy babies. Are they drawing your blood work too? I wonder where your progesterone is at. Sending so many prayers for you.
@MrsBinPA Sending prayers your way. Hoping the spotting stop very soon.
*** Question for those who had early ultrasound***** I've been doing lots of reading because I have my first US Tuesday morning. According to LMP I'll be 6+1 but according to what I think is my O date I'll be 5+1. I'm really afraid to go in because I feel it's too early and it's only gonna be a source of stress. Anyone with positive experience this early??? The staff at my OBGYN office can really be harsh and I had a really bad experience with a nurse when I had my chemical pregnancy
@BostonBaby1, I assume they will. They have every other time. They didn't tell me last week's number. I will ask what it was tomorrow. They only call with the labs if they have concerns after visualization on the US. I questioned the RE about my numbers and about the suppositories and he said the use of oral vs them is a matter of preference and that he likes to actually see the level change in the blood. He suggested the supps may not do the same.
I also specially asked about my numbers having gone down between week 4 & 5 (from 20 to 13.2) and he wasn't worried. Their threshold is 13, so I suspect that my number was higher or the same than the week before's draw.
We shall see tomorrow. I'm not stressing too much. Whatever will be will be. None of what I am experiencing are the same as my mc so hanging on to that.
@jolydan I am in a similar situation. My due date is July 26 based off my period and July 31 based off my O date. I would prefer to use my O date until my ultrasound and then change it if they wish. I know they mentioned an ultrasound around 6 weeks if all my labs come back good (4w 0d today based off O date). My nephew is due to be born (scheduled C-section) Monday, Dec. 7 and would love to tell me family that I am expecting again (loss in Sept.). However, I would love to have seen a heartbeat....I could ask to have my ultrasound that day at 6w 1d but worried, like you, there won't be much to see or no heartbeat yet. Then I would literally have a meltdown! They will be thinking I am 6w 6d...I also don't want them dismissing the baby if it is measuring behind.
Getting lab results tomorrow from my doc so may mention my concerns. Will let you know what they suggest.
@jolydan my experience is that they will bring you and based off of LMP but after they visualize a sac on u/s you will be dated off of that. I wouldn't expect to see much at 5+1 as you know. Maybe we'll see a gestational sack. I have had so many early ultrasounds. Each one is a little bit different based on days but don't let them stress you out! Even if you were going off of LMP, have to factor in that you may not have ovulated on a regular 14 day schedule. If they can't understand that then maybe you need a new doctor. My best guess is that it won't be as bad as you are anticipating. As long as you go into it knowing not to expect to see anything inside of a sac, you should be okay. It's always stressful though. Keeping everything crossed for you!
@MrsBinPA that is exactly what I was told about oral progesterone versus the suppositories. That the suppositories don't reflect in your blood. My personal experience was that after one week on Endometrin suppositories is that my blood level went from 5.5 (? cannot completely remember) to over 19. I'm not sure how much of that was a natural fluctuation and how much of that was due to the suppositories. Hopefully your numbers will come back well!
@jolydan I told my office I ovulated late, but they still wanted to schedule my 1st ultrasound off LMP, so I was under 6 weeks, and only saw a sac. After, they said, well maybe you ovulated late. we saw heartbeat at next ultrasound. Once they were able to get measurement, my due date was adjusted and now coincides with my late ovulation. Good luck!
@kja2011 Thanks for that info. I am in a similar boat to jolydan. I have a feeling they will also want to start with the LMP and then possibly adjust after an ultrasound. Since you didn't get to see a heartbeat did they do an extra ultrasound? My doc has suggested the ultrasound at 6ish weeks and if all is well then not until the anatomy scan. I can't imagine them letting it go without an additional scan if all we see is the sac...

I also cannot imagine that you would not have a second ultrasound if you didn't see a hb yet.
@mrsmommya My office is being super accommodating. My 2nd ultrasound was at my 8 week "confirmation" appointment. I was going to wait for next ultrasound until 10 weeks, but l had a drop in progesterone, so am having another ultrasound next week. My doctor said she'll see me every week if I like until I'm passed my loss (11.5 weeks). I have appointments scheduled for 9 weeks, 10.5 weeks (before Materniti21) and 12 weeks. Hopefully things continue to progress well and I'll go back to monthly visits.
After my miscarriage (with perfect 8w3d ultrasound),I'm not sure if I would be comfortable waiting again to 20 week to check in baby (my DS was completely uneventful and only had u/s at 12 and 20 weeks--as you know, a loss completely changes your outlook).
Wow @kja2011 that is awesome! I may have to put my foot down for my OB then and request more appts. if they don't offer them. We haven't even gotten to that point yet though. I love my doc and the office. They were amazing through my loss and up until now...I just hope they are compassionate about this until I hit my time as well (baby was 9w and I was 12w).
Hi ladies. Unfortunately my appointment didn't go well this morning. No development since last week. Last week's HCG numbers were actually not great either, thankfully they didn't call with them last time to have me worrying myself sick all week.
D&E tomorrow afternoon so we can have genetic testing done & begin to move on.
I haven't decided if I will keep the app for loss/infertility support or if I will just delete for now.

@acadia07 and @BostonBaby1 thanks for posting about changes in sxs around week 8; I am at 8w2d and my sxs have been a bit better, which of course got me worried, so this is nice to know. My first appointment is tomorrow so I am pretty nervous, we'll see what happens...

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I'll probably lurk to see how you make out & use the support of the loss & TTC boards. You ladies have been so wonderful & a highlight of TB to me. I was sceptical of it based on my last birth month board, but you have restored my faith this is a good thing.
We are obviously very disappointed, but feel better about the level of care this time around. Hopefully the testing uncovers an explanation and if not, we'll continue to work with the RE on a plan for our next try.
We have dear friends who has many many losses and are expecting their new arrival any day now, so we have support and this gives us hope.
Will continue to pray/send good vibes for my July PGAL ladies!!
