My brother's baby boy had CDH and was severe too. Although the heart was fine, the lung was only 40% developed and even after surgery and being on a vent for 6 days, he cud not make it. The oxygen supply was not enough for him. The doctors tell us it was good for all and even the baby due to after math of complications that come in future, it was the most difficult thing we could have ever imagined.
Im 19 weeks and i still cry for that angel. He was and will remain precious for us for ever. My whole family prays that i have a safe pregnancy and a good outcome. Although i have one healthy 5 yr old, i did suffer a miscarriage before this one. And i suffered it about the time we found out what is wrong with my brother's baby boy when he was 25 weeks in the womb.
Im praying for you and ur husband so that these days pass. May God give u the strength and faith to pull u through. Time stops for no one. Hardships will pass. Keep faith.
I'm so, so sorry to read this. I can't tell you how much my heart goes out to you and your husband. You will definitely be in my thoughts over the coming months. I wish there were better words; I'm in awe of the way you're handling this with such strength and grace. Big hugs. And please keep us updated. We'll all be pulling for you.

As others have said, you are in the best hands- literally. CHOP and Boston set the gold standard for children's hospitals (I worked for a top 10 hospital and we "chased" them consistently.)
They also ensured that my cousin is still alive at 29, despite being born with one lung and a stomach the size of a quarter. She shouldn't have lived to leave the NICU there, but she did after a year. Her road hasn't been easy, but she has persevered and has two little ones of her own now.
