Mucus plug

So I'm 39+2 and I've lost my mucus plug. Expecting my third baby. I've been having contractions for over a week now but nothing happens. I saw my OB this past Tuesday and she said nothing is going on yet. I hope labor starts soon because I can't wait anymore! I'm tired, can't walk, I wake up short of breath from the baby's pressure and the headaches just keep coming stronger. Anyone else with similar symptoms?

This and your mucus plug regenerates.
It could be days or you could end up being induced depending on how far your OB lets you go.
Baby will come when ready just look for time able contractions.
  • This is your third child, you should know this rodeo by know.

Or at least be able to figure out what's going on, what's normal vs not....
  • If you have nothing nice to say or no advice for her why do u need to say something? Just move along if you don't like a post! I.just.dont.get.it.
I've never met a person face to face that is so rude when I ask them advice, but online the rudeness runs rampant!!! Sheesh.
  • I second @brianna91chavez if a stranger were to talk to me about their mucus plug I would be grossed right out.
  • Here you have the opportunity of not opening the thread (labeled Mucus Plug) if it grosses you out ...
  • Well I guess when nobody opens the thread nobody can complain that they didn't get any answers. As a first time mom who didn't take ANY prenatal classes, I was able to get more than enough information myself without asking complete strangers questions about what was coming out of my lady bits. A person who has been active on this board, contributed to the board, and is on her third round of pregnancy, would know the answer to this question, and would know that this question has been answered multiple times. If you don't like the answers you get then just delete this damn app now.

Seriously, what is your problem? What are you getting out of getting so upset at people?

I just think it's entirely out of line to be upset with our answers. I'm not upset. It's frustrating to the regulars to constantly have to see threads like this.

What do you consider being a "regular?" Do you have to have been here since getting your BFP? So anyone else who joined after a certain point should just shut up?

A regular is somebody who has consistently contributed to threads. We are a welcoming group and I apologize if I've come across as aggressive or made you upset. It wasn't my intentions. It's just quite frustrating to some of us that have seen ten threads about this. It's frustrating to constantly be expected to hear about these things when this has been answered constantly. Without repeat questions and people making a brand new thread every time they have this question we could keep the threads more organized. Some threads that haven't been answered get entirely missed because we get repeats like this that bump the non repeats to the next page. You are more likely to get a better informed answer or advice from somebody that CAN actually answer you if the search feature was actually used.
