Update after er

So I went to the er this morning after having pressure in my cervix that started yesterday. I had felt this bubble sticking out of my cervix and it was still there this morning. When the nurse practitioner checked me she thought it was the sac hanging out. She said it was brown. I started crying my eyes out thinking the baby is coming out. I went in for my ultrasound and had the tech show me the images at the end. The sac was in the fundus so I felt a little relieved. At the cervix it looked like something there and I thought she has measured something there. It's very hard to tell from a still image, but she wouldn't show me while she was scanning. Also, the baby's heart rate was only 102bpm. The tech brought me back to the room and of course I sat there waiting forever. The nurse came back in and brought the ob doc with her. The dr checked me and said what she sees is normal and that all that's sticking out is mucus. Ummm.....when is it normal for a bubble of mucus to stick out?! She also felt inside and said that its nothing. They didn't even note anything at all in the ultrasound report about my cervix, not even the measurements! I can't even believe it. And now I'm worried she said baby's hb is low. I'm 5w6d and baby measured 6w3d. My beta came back at 38,940 and it was 13,000 this past Wednesday. I just cannot calm down. I have to follow up with my dr tomorrow.

I would try not to stress it sounds like babe is doing well. Keep us updated on your appointment tomorrow but please leave your cervix alone until then!

Yes I am not checking anymore! I wish the bubble would just go back inside. Maybe I need to hang upside down haha

The HB is in normal range too you are so early it probably just started beating!

I'll say a prayer..but in the meantime you probably should start sleeping hanging upside down. Try a tree branch or your closet if it's too cold outside.

I take it they didn't say whether your cervix had dialated or not? Where your cervix is on the ultrasound can you see a "v?"

It was probably just old blood if it was brown, not mucus. Unless you saw a doctor in L&D I would try not to worry too much, most E.R. docs probably aren't well versed in the vagina.

The dr said that my cervix was closed. But then when I asked her how I could feel the bubble she said it may be dilated a little. I just want to see my own dr. I just haven't read anything about anyone having a bubble of mucus hanging out. Oh and when I got there the nurse asked the other nurse for forceps and she was going to try to pull it out. I was like nooooooo!

And they told me to stay off my feet, which is impossible with a 4 year old.

What in the.. Ya, good call on not letting them pull anything out. It sounds like you knew more than they did since they back pedaled and were like, "It could be dialated a little." I would try to stay off of your feet, no standing longer than ten minutes and try to either lay down or sit reclined (rules from my short cervix days). Keep us posted? Good luck tomorrow, I'll continue to think about you and your little bubble!

You should at least go to your gyno. You could have a polyp. I had one coming out of my cervix--a little ball. My gyno just painlessly snipped it and i have the little stalk coming out still. ER docs really don't know about every little thing--I don't know how a bubble of mucus would be there.

As for the baby, it sounds like you are farther along than you thought, which is fine! As for a HB, it may have just started and it's got to start somewhere! Waiting is so hard, but I would hit up your gyno if you need to put your mind at rest, even if it isn't for a sono.

I have to wait to see her until tomorrow. They told me just to rest today. I'm just trying to stay off my feet.

My doctors nurse told me to rest today and no heavy lifting. I have been resting all day, just trying to stay on the couch. I haven't checked myself anymore, I think Im done doing that. Can't wait for my appt tomorrow. I hope she just says whatever it is isn't a big deal.

I went for my follow up from the er a few days ago. My doctor did not see the bubble, it was gone. And she said my cervix is. Completely closed. Having some blood this morning. So nervous
