  • I'm having a girl too! image

At first that made me very dizzy but then it reminded me that Egypt has a chicken Big Mac and made me hungry.

Oh and before I forget: Guuuurl congratz on yor lil diva <3 shes totes gonna be a princesssssss
Haha it's not confirmed yet, but there's some turtle/humburger nonsense going on on the second tri board, so I'm hoping this is what I see on Wednesday :) But I feel like Wednesday is never, EVER going to get here.
Oh yeah Egypt McDonalds! I remember the McArabia and the ketchup with cinnamon in it!!!

Hiiieeeeee!!! I think I'm having a girl but like the ultrasound tech told me it's a boy. I totes don't believe her! Just for funzies and giggles what do you think?

That's DEFINITELY a girl. Your tech must be new or something! Team girl for you all the way!

    Edit: damn auto correct
  • I'm not really sure how to do all this, bc I'm new at it. but I was starting a thread so people could post their photos from 11-14 weeks guessed gender and then confirmed. I hope that makes sense!!
We're not very keen on posting pictures of our babies' genitals
To be fair, though, y'all aren't very keen on anything that's done by anyone new to the board.

Actually, everyone is very nice. It's just a matter of if someone follows the guidelines or not. Also, lurk before you post you can easily find out what's accepted and what isn't.

Edit: quote was too damn long & it's messed up but you get the point I hope
  • @elasticheart13 teach me your quoting ways because I clearly can't do it right lol

I disagree. I didn't exactly know my way around the board when I joined and I wasn't shunned. When you lurk and understand the community you'll see it's very giving and supportive.
Let's agree to disagree, then.  It's been my experience that people here are only giving and supportive if you follow a very specific set of rules.  Don't get me wrong, rules are great, they keep places like this easy to read and are good for the community in many ways.  However, the rules here are less "don't be a jerk" rules and more "on Wednesdays we wear pink" rules.  God FORBID someone makes a post guessing their baby's gender, then the don't be a jerk rule goes out the window and everyone is allowed to break the Terms of Use to berate and humiliate new members and the mods don't do anything about it.  The "if you don't like it, don't read it" rule that gets quoted so often is also very dependent on who you are.  Somehow, it doesn't apply to people who think being mean to someone is acceptable behavior towards threads they don't like.

Haha, you're sweet. Well the html codes mess up once they get too long on the phone, so you'd have to delete all the <blockquote class bla bla> until you only have one left. When I'm in a hurry on the mobile app I don't bother and just put -------------- in front of my post :P

  • @elasticheart13 I think that's my problem I'm on mobile lol. I get so confused!

It's your opinion of course and the way you see it. So yeah, we can agree to disagree. If people have actual genuine questions we don't make fun of the OP, and kindly direct them to the relevant threads. But when we have a complete stranger come by, ask us to give them a unique name when we know nothing about them and then suddenly disappear, then I don't really care. We are not ultrasound techs and we don't want the board flooded with random people dropping by to show us their "potty shot". We've gotten to know each other and it's a community. Everyone is welcome to join, but please stick around and introduce yourself. You'll see we have a lot of love to give.

Haha, I really miss it! For some reason it tastes much better than the McDonalds we have in Denmark, and they also have McFalafel for breakfast. It's perfect.

I think a lot of people here just like to joke around on threads like these.

  • I think a lot of people here just like to joke around on threads like these.
I personally do that a lot because I am certain that these women on this board by now know I don't mean it seriously.
@Knottie9983816 I hope my GIF didn't offend you, you know I really like you guys <3

The McDonald's in Hawaii serve spam and it was my sanctuary. When I moved to the mainland I was very sad to see spam off the menu. But hey, I'm cooking spam for breakfast so I'm ok now

I had to look it up, I knew it was a canned kind of meat but I've never really had it. Then Wikipedia says this: "In Hawaii, Spam is so popular that it is sometimes referred to as The Hawaiian Steak". Lol, that made me giggle.

The only thing I'd miss about McDonalds in Denmark is the Chili Cheese Balls. Oh my god, that is the most delicious cheesy snack I've ever had in my life. DH is VERY excited about coming back, knowing he can have them again :D

I'm going to post mine now just to be annoying.

    Now we're talking @Knottie9983816 !

I have had the worst day ever, and I am so beyond glad I looked back at this thread. I completely missed both your and @elasticheart13 posts to me, but I laughed so hard I started crying! And no I'm not offended in the slightest. I know if you were going to be a biotch, you wouldn't gif it. At least that's what I assume...

I wouldn't go that far. In my mind, it's like walking up to a group of women talking at the mall and the first thing that comes out of your mouth is "here's a picture of my unborn child!" The women on this board have been getting to know each other for about 4 months and have formed a community. I don't think it's too much to ask for a simple introduction first.

Me if you refuse to show me, a random creepy Internet stranger, photos of your unborn child's genetalia:

I won't speak for others but I'm very happy with anybody new as long as they introduce themselves and follow the social guidelines of this board. That also includes participating and seeing that they're active in other threads, not just their own that they made.

  • Well I'm not a stranger and I'm posting genetalia pictures now. There is absolutely no way it's a girl... If it is, there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with my LO!

    But I mean, maybe, right?

I feel like I've been letdown by Arab McDonalds. I had a McArabia in Morocco and not only was it disgusting but I was violently ill for hours after eating it. Maybe that's why it was only available for a month.

Idk... I can't really make out any boy/girl parts, but I was pretty sure her LO was holding a miniature light sabre. If only the image were in color, so we could see what side of the force the baby is using...

So I've been marathoning the Star Wars movies/shows during naps/after DD goes to bed and this made me ridiculously happy.

Dude - I had a dream the week after I found out I was pregnant the my baby is a girl...and a Sith Lord. We then referred to LO as Darth Tamale for a couple months. @Knottie9983816 glad my baby will be in good company!
  • @AmadorRose I actually used that as my profile picture on FB for a while, as my announcement lol

But hell yeah Sith playdates! Also Darth Tamale is my favorite nickname you've shared with us thus far.
  • +1 for the Darth Tamale!!

I also feel bad this person doesn't want to post on here again because of the comments. This happens too often here.

BAHAHAHA I'm sorry @Knottie9983816 ... I was just kidding about "enhancing" the picture. It was actually just an US picture from the internet that someone had posted because their unborn baby looked like Emperor Palpatine. I thought y'all would be able to "see" it in context with the Star Wars reference. My bad.
  • Honestly I have a hard time seeing pretty much anything in an ultrasound picture.

Oh it just looked like you edited out my boys stuff in that picture! I'm glad you clarified with another picture. That's funnier ;)
