Congrats on making it this far running! I lasted to 37 the first time and 38 the second, this one turned into a pier walk at 36.... with an occasional sprint or two. Makes it pretty easy to get in shape after baby is here, so I'm continuing to move it as much as possible.

I stopped running pretty much right after I found out I was pregnant (when I was about 5 weeks along). I probably shouldn't have but I guess I've basically used pregnancy as an excuse to be lazy. I've gone on a few long walks but that's about it. On a side note, I think I asked this-as a side note- on another thread that I started pretty much about not being ready for the baby to come and hopefully nobody minds me getting slightly off topic here but anyway, I have heard/read that you shouldn't take babies out running in a jogging stroller until they're 6 months old. Have you heard the same? I bought a jogging stroller and a baby trend stroller that doesn't have a seat- you're just supposed to be able to connect a car seat into but I haven't been able to figure out how to do that. Did anybody figure out how to securely connect their car seat to their stroller? What kind did you get? I've been told that the jogging stroller is supposed to be able to have a car seat connect to it as well but I hadn't figured it out for that one either but maybe I just don't have the right car seat.
@BrookeBrown2015 You probably need the adapter that is for connecting your car seat to the stroller. Google the name of your car seat and the name of your stroller and "adapter".
I ran with DS starting at about 2-3 months. That is NOT recommended by the stroller manufacturers or baby experts. So here is why I felt OK cheating on that rule. 1. Baby was in his car seat carrier using the adapter built for our stroller/car seat combo. 2. I fully buckled him in as if I were driving somewhere. 3. I only jogged on smooth, paved trails and the occasional sidewalk. I slowed down to a walk if it got bumpy at all. 4. I was using a Bob stroller with full suspension and teather strap.
I could see his face the whole time I was running and really didn't see how it could possibly be bumpier than driving him in my car on the brick roads in my neighborhood.
The concern with running before 6 months is because of the jostling that could occur. With the above precautions I couldn't see how that would be an issue.

+1 to this! I started running with my son at 3 weeks and took all the same precautions. It didn't seem any different than driving him around and he's now a perfectly healthy 2.5yo.
@redfallon thank you! Unfortunately I don't know exactly what kind of car seat I have- it's a used my aunt gave me and it's some kind of graco but there's different kinds of graco. But I had no idea there was even a such thing as an adapter so you have still been a huge help I'm sure! Anyone know how to drop a picture into Google to do a reverse search like on the TV show catfish? Lol and it would help if I could add words- like a picture of the car seat then with the words adapter and baby trend click connect stroller? Lol is that possible?

There should be a sticker on the underside of it. This is especially important to make sure it's not an expired car seat. Also be wary of a used car seat. Do you know where your aunt got it from, how many people have used it, has it been in an accident, has it had a recall?
I have been continuing my walks with the dog. I don't really go by distance. But I take about 6000 steps and am active for an hour. Honestly, if it were up to me I wouldn't do it, but it wears out the pup so that he leaves me alone to veg out after. hahaha

The link is to a blog from Graco and tells you where to find the expiration date and model # and date of manufacture OR serial #.
