We don't plan on telling coworkers, extended family, etc. that we're expecting until after the first trimester, but I'm wondering when you told people closest to you? (i.e. mom, best friend, sister)
I told my sister before the pee even dried, our parents and other siblings at 16 weeks, just cleared my mom to tell others today (so 20 and some change).
I like telling people in person, so we have sort of slowly been telling people as we see them - ranging from 16-20 weeks.
Nothing on social media till after the baby gets here.
We told our parents when we got a positive test. I told our friends a few days later after seeing the doctor and we announced at about 9 weeks after we heard a heart beat.
I have had two losses and I told people right away. It's hard to have to go back and explain that you're not pregnant anymore. This time I haven't told anyone. It's hard because my grandmother knows we were trying again and she asks me if I am pregnant every time we talk. Lol
We didn't tell anyone until Christmas (I had a cute announcement idea where the grandparents-to-be opened up pacifiers, so we saved it until then), when I was 11 weeks. 12 weeks was New Years so we posted an announcement on social media then.
I am 13w2d today and we haven't told many people yet. The ones who knew about my struggle with infertility knew right away (four people, aside from husband). I told my best friend last weekend, we are telling a couple who we are close with this weekend. We are telling out families (parents included) on Thanksgiving. We would have told them sooner, but I have such a cute way to tell them that would only work on Thanksgiving. SO, when we announce, I'll be 14w4d.
I don't know when we will announce on social media. I honestly feel like all the people who actually care will know already because we have told them. lol

I told my two direct supervisors right away, but I'm really close to both of them and they both know about my previous loss. I'm telling my parents at Thanksgiving (5 weeks) since that will be the first time I see them in person. We will probably tell DH's family and the rest of my immediate family at Christmas (9 weeks). Will probably make a social media announcement when we know the sex. Other close friends and family before that, but not exactly sure when.
It was very hard for me to keep things quiet since I'm pregnant through IVF (5w4d). I work in a very small office so they knew right away. I'm ok with that. I told my family right away as well. We are not telling my husbands older children until we are through the first trimester.
My husband was working when I told him and he works with 2 close friends all they knew that day. I told my best friends the day after I found out and our parents grandparents, brothers & sisters within a week or so! Who of course told more people haha. I also told my boss and coworkers 2 weeks after due to the nature of my job and we're all close too.
I just publicly announced to my martial arts school (where I've worked for 8 years) on Tuesday and tomorrow or Saturday will post on Facebook for the rest of our friends/family because we got some adorable pictures taken!
I told my parents the day I found out. Waited til I was 10 weeks to tell my siblings and my close friends, and the in laws. And then we publicly announced it on social media at 14 weeks.
I told my bestie the day i found out! LOL! Ive had 2 MC, and was a bit scared, but now @ 9w3d and all is well :-) of course hubby was 1st, hehe Its really up to u, but 12 weeks usually to tell work
with my first, we told immediate family at 16wks, extended family at 18-20 wks, friends at 20wks and work at 23wks. the delay with telling people was for multiple reasons but in many ways i enjoyed keeping the info to myself.
my husband and i live in a two family home, my mother is the other resident, so it will be a bit tough keeping it from her this time around. she is a major gossip so i prefer to keep it from her as long as possible but I am having trouble doing do. i am fatigued a lot and have a lot of doc appt so will prob tell her at 12wks and the rest of the family soon after. My husband already told his work because I am high risk in multiple areas and might need his help more often than not.
I told my boss at 5w when I found out because I work in a medical setting. I told my family at 6w because they are coming in town for thanksgiving (traveling 700 miles) and I knew I couldn't keep it a secret!

I told my dad first than my mom. I haven't told any friends yet or my fiancée ! It's gonna be our third baby so I'm kinda nervous about telling him . I m trying to decide to be creative about it or just spill it
I'm really close with a large group of women and have been for several years through working convention circuits. Since these women have become like my sisters most of them know because it's going to be them that I lean on if something goes wrong. I told a few of them when I found out, 4 weeks 4 days. And several more at around 6 weeks. I'm waiting to tell most everyone else until Christmas Day. I'll be exactly 12 weeks.
Well my husband and I decided to wait to tell people, but he ended up telling all of his close friends the day after we took our 5th, at home, test. I told my best friend at 5 weeks 3 days, because I was in the hospital after fainting twice and scared. I told my other close friends and my mother at 7 weeks. Everyone else, we will tell after 1st trimester.
We told my parents the weekend we found out, a few very close friends after that, & my in-laws after 7 weeks. We're going to tell a few other close friends, but we will not be publicly announcing to extended family & friends until 13 weeks.
Told our parents right away-which was 5 weeks compared to the almost 7 weeks we thought we would be. Told a few close friends around 7 weeks-and around 10 everyone else knew. I was heading back to school and have appointments every 2 weeks with various professionals so I wanted to let my teachers know. Plus I was obviously miserable and sick so being around others it would not have taken long for them to figure it out.

We called my parents and younger brother RIGHT after we got the positive, and my husband's parents right after that. I couldn't imagine not telling them right away.. We've told a few other people. My husband told his boss cause he wants to be able to come to all my appointments, and I told my best friend cause she's a bartender and we used to always go to her bar and she would know anyway if we totally stopped coming to her bar. Besides that, a few other people know - good friends and a cousin.. Wish we could've kept it quiet more but oh well.
I told my parents, sister, and best friend right away. We're telling my husband's parents in a few weeks. The rest of the family and friends can wait until the second trimester!
I told my Mom and the ILs on the day I found out, my grandmother whom I'm very close to the next day, my dad a week later, and everyone else found out at 12 weeks.
I'll be telling our families on Thanksgiving... It will put us at about the 7 week mark.
Both of our families are across the country, so it won't be in person, but over FaceTime...
I made booties and sent them to the families... they got them yesterday with notes not to open it yet, but my guess is that someone will open it before Thanksgiving.
I told my husband when I walked out of the bathroom with a positive pregnancy test in my hand. Haha that shocked him awake.
As for other people, I couldn't help but slip to my best friend that I think I'm pregnant just days after that. I then told my Mom a week or so later, about 3 or so weeks along, and then my sister at 4 or so weeks, and a few very VERY close friends the day after my sister. My husband was bursting to tell people so he told a bunch of co-workers and his boss, but I didn't mind as they aren't on social media with us and don't know anyone we know. I will NOT tell my co-workers until I have to, as I just started a new job and while I get six weeks paid maternity leave, I don't want to walk in having worked only 4 months and be like "surprise, I'm preggo!" I plan to tell my brothers around Thanksgiving or Christmas (haven't decided), and then we're telling my husband's parents on December 9th (6-ish weeks) just after my first OBGYN appointment. We expect to tell all the close family and friends by Christmas and then sometime late January or February (whenever I can't really hide it anymore) telling the rest of the world.
We've told my in laws because we see them a lot so it's likely they would notice my symptoms even if we didn't tell. I'm taking a picture to tell my family and close friends probably next week. I'm around 7/8 weeks with baby #3
With my first, I told my parents and Dh's parents pretty much as soon as we knew. This time around we will wait until after the first ultrasound (if my mom doesn't figure it out first). I want to make sure everything is going well before we tell them and before we try to explain the concept of a sibling to DD (she's almost 4).
I ended up announcing earlier than I wanted, which was around 10wks close to 11wks. My family was visitting from FL and I wanted to announce while they were here instead of having them visit and telling them after they went back to FL. If it wasn't for that I would have waited a while longer. I was in no rush

We told three close friends, my sister, and our parents right away. I decided I was okay with telling anyone I'd like to have as support, should something happen. We'll tell the rest of our family at Christmas. I'll be 10 weeks then.
With DD, DH called everyone the day I peed on the stick. This time, we haven't told anyone yet. We will tell our parents on Christmas (I'll be 8 weeks then), and then everyone else when I'm out of the first trimester.
I waited about 3 days after peeing on the stick to tell my parents. We miscarried in August and having to tell everyone "never mind" SUCKED BAD. So, I kept telling myself we wouldn't say anything until after our first doctors appointment at the earliest....yeah, not so much. After we told my folks, we told his...then our best friends...then our siblings. My MIL asked over the weekend if we could tell people yet or not, I told her nothing on Facebook, but other than that it was fine to which she responded "Oh thank god, cuz I told Great Grandma and your aunt!" hahahaha...But I saw the heart beat at 5w5d, so at this point, I'm pretty comfortable with most people knowing. Everyone at work knows, too.
We are waiting until out 8 wk appt with our MW. That weekend we are having dinner with our immediate family (parents, siblings and closest aunt and uncle) and will tell them then. I would of actually loved to of told my mom and dad when we first found out but my husband is more hesitant and I respect that so we are waiting. As for the rest of the people in our lives (friends and work) we are waiting till 12 wks because that's when we will have our first u/s. I'm not doing a FB announcement - not my thing. People will just figure it out!
we told our family on christmas but not extended until after the first trimester. I did tell my husband's best friends lady who I thought would be happy but come to find out she was just a bi#$!. she played it all excited but then told her bf who is my man's best friend that she does not give a whoop about it. I always had a feeling about her as I have told my husband before. I hate fake people but I'm happy and glad to know how fake she is so I can keep my distance from that rude person. We love our baby and can't wait to get the ultrasound pictures sorry to vent it just happened.
I would love to wait until the first trimester is over but I can't. Due to work I need to go on restricted "light" duty for the pregnancy so everyone is pretty much going to know when I'm at about 6-8 weeks....
