DVD players in the car. Long trips--sure! Morning drive to school...TALK TO YOUR CHILD!! Why must we put something on for our kids to watch when making short trips, like to the grocery store or school? Do you seriously have nothing to talk about? Sing a stupid song for crying out loud. 7am is too early to watch a cartoon. Stimulate your child's brain!
I'm not a big fan of actual bananas but banana flavored everything is my favorite. Banana milkshake, banana snoballs, banana popsicle, banana yogurt, banana laffy taffy, etc etc
I find it ridiculous that there are so many people on this board bitching about not gaining weight but I've not seen one (unless I've missed it) post about gaining too much.

I know there were a few not terribly long ago. I know one was about her doc saying she was gaining too fast

I feel like all of the "I'm not gaining weight" posts are drive-bys. Is your baby healthy? I've only ever seen yes to answer the question, so keep moving! If no, talk to a nutritionist and consume more calories!
Ditto on weight loss posts. Ppl seriously don't know what they should eat to gain weight? I can think of a million foods. A lot of them have cheese involved. Haha
White chocolate is an imposter. CHOCOLATE is cocoa. There is no cocoa in white "chocolate". It is milk and sugar. Heavy on the sugar. Its artificial and gross.
Here's an UO: Hershey's chocolate is poor quality. I can say this because a) I grew up in PA and went to college only half an hour outside Hershey PA, and b) my dad works at a candy factory (has since I was born) and even though their chocolate isn't as high grade as say, Swiss chocolate, it is higher than Hershey's. Hershey actually uses a poor quality of chocolate to make their products...not an opinion there, folks, FACT.
Early FFFC? I have a package of Hershey bars in my pantry for s'mores :-P

Meh, they're not my favorite, but I try to remember that there's SO MUCH PRESSURE out there on women to be the perfect weight and size and shape--starting from the time we're barely out of puberty--that it's gotta be tough for some women to give up worrying about the number on the scale just because they're pregnant, whether it's moving up or down. I try not to buy into it myself, but with as much time as I've spent fretting about looking like a cow so early (or not looking pregnant enough, depending on my level of bloat that day), I can sympathize. And I'm someone who's never had much trouble with body image!
Which, from the looks of it, makes my opinion the unpopular one
My UO: I hate steak. I've had it grilled, broiled, pan seared. Whatever. It is too much work for something that tastes like a hamburger to me. (My fiancé makes incredible steaks. I'm still not a huge fan)

I completely agree with you! My grandparents owned a small candy store while I was growing up and Hershey's chocolate sucks!

I'm totally with you on this. I have hershey's chocolate only for s'mores (there's some food additive that makes them melt well, where real chocolate doesn't melt well). White chocolate just sucks. I big heart good quality chocolate.
Nothing revolutionary, but bananas are disgusting. In all forms.
I. Hate. Bananas.
Plus... they give me crazy indigestion!
And I'm with all of you ladies on the weight gain threads... seriously another one? You. Are. Supposed. To. Gain. Weight.
My UO for today... I don't like mint chocolate chip ice cream... I think it's nasty.
DH always says that mint belongs in gum and toothpaste and nothing else - I think it belongs in Schnapps in my hot chocolate this time of year. Now I need to buy peppermint coffee syrup to try to re-create without the booze...
The "what do you love about being pregnant?" Thread bugs me and I've been avoiding it like the plaugue. Seriously this time around I am only enjoying the fact that I get a baby. I really wanted round 2 to be as great at round 1. Instead I have had significant ms, and baby has decided my bladder and left kidney are the best things ever to bounce off of. I look like I've gained 20 lbs, my skin is a mess and my skin is either an oil slick or dry and cracking, and if I am not in bed by 8:45 each night it's a guarantee I will throw up. I had such a great experience last time....
I am so over all these threads about weight gain/loss.

This is exactly why I don't like the "I'm not gaining any weight, should I be concerned" posts. It's hard enough to watch the scale creep up, and then seeing a bunch of posts about how some people haven't gained any weight and are "concerned" make me feel even worse about myself. Honestly, if someone is really that concerned then they should just ask their doctor. Also, I feel as though ones doctor would bring it up with them if he/she was concerned.
Ok here it goes....I actually can't stand Christmas music. I only like the traditional hymns but the crap that gets played on the radio, TURN IT OFF.
Agreed! I finally convinced Pandora of what I like after 3-4 years of down voting all the crappy radio songs. It's mostly a mix of Straight No Chaser, Pentatonix, Buble and Bing Crosby.

It's mostly about how affectionate everyone's SO has been and no judgement on food choices. Not sure if that helps.
I personally am not a fan of pg so far. The on-slot of doctor's appointments is bugging me. Seeing a specialist plus OB is not fun except that I get an ultrasound every few weeks. This shit is scary and stressful and my anxiety is insane. BUT..I get a sweet baby girl out of all of this.

Just trying to find the silver linings of a somewhat shitty time ya know? Pregnancy is great because you get a baby... Then it's terrible because you're, well, pregnant. No one ever told me the shittiness of being pregnant. Just the sunshine and rainbows parts. So I feel like I was duped. Lol anyway, ya I think it's just about silver linings for me.
Umm sorry but white chocolate is chocolate and it DOES have cocoa. It is not just milk and sugar. Normal chocolate has two main components: cocoa butter and cocoa solids. White chocolate has the cocoa butter but not the solids. White chocolate is still not my favorite but it does have its uses!
I guess mine is a UO because I like bananas. They're ready to go, not messy, easy to peel and it's somewhat filling.
I like steak but it has to be well done, no pink. Anything pink makes me wretch.
My UO, and I'm pretty sure not everyone agrees with me: I really don't care whether or not there's posts about "not gaining weight." I just don't open them.

SO IS MINE.
We should form a club. DH gets annoyed because it ends up playing the same songs over and over and over. Oh well, at least it's good music.
I don't like the term "natural childbirth." It might be because I'm biased - I plan on having an epidural (in fact, I sort of wish I could have one now). The term implies that women who have C-sections or use painkillers are unnatural. I feel like all birth is natural.
My UO is that I can't stand the pink explosion that seems to be mandatory with having a girl. Why does everything have to be pink??? Pink toys, pink decor, pink clothing, everything is pink. I have two girls and a 3rd on the way and have to go out of my way to find girl clothing that isn't pink. My 3 year old's favorite color is orange and her favorite shirt is a green monster truck shirt that is a hand-me-down from her brothers. Clearly she missed the memo that girls have to love pink.
I also can't stand the "I'm the princess" and "I'm a diva" type shirts for little girls.

I too am appalled when I see "Diva in training" "Little Diva" title shirts and jackets. There is no way in hell I am going to encourage my daughter to be a "Diva". Not in my house.

Not unpopular in any way shape or form... I CANNOT stand some of the stuff they put out for baby girls!
My UO: I don't think countries, including the US, should be turning away Syrian refugees. I've seen a lot of really ignorant facebook posts recently and have seriously considered unfriending a few people. DH doesn't agree with me and it's made for some awkward conversations this week.
I get that there is the potential for someone bad to get inside the borders and commit acts of terrorism. But there are plenty of other ways for them to accomplish that, and I don't feel like the risk is significant enough to tell people who are desperately in need - too bad, go back to your home country.

Thank you! And if LO is a girl, she won't be growing up like she's a princess. Ugh.
