@Britty34 At my preconception appointment the doctor asked detailed questions about my medical history and my family's medical history (fibroids, lupus, diabetes, ovarian/uterine cancers, etc.). We set a goal weight for me to aim for (I could totally stand to lose a few pounds). She gave me a vaccine (don't remember which one now). She scheduled a few tests. I have high blood pressure, which I am taking medication for. But she was more adamant than normal about finding out the cause of the high blood pressure instead of just treating it. Because I'm over 35 she referred me to a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. The MFM reviewed all of my medication and made sure I wasn't taking anything that would affect the baby when we get pregnant.
We talked about the timing for me to get off of birth control. I had to create an exercise regimen and start taking prenatal vitamins. That's all I can remember for now but I'll add more if it comes to me.
Good luck!
