I'm wanted the Skip Hop Forma Backpack, but I googled some images and it's so large!! Is there such thing as a diaper bag that's TOO big? It's like the size of a backpack you would take to school or something. I wasn't expecting that. Maybe the models are just small?
THIS is exactly what I have been searching for! I had a regular style diaper bag by Vera Bradley last time - cute, but that quilted shit is a pain and gets dirty SO easily. I was literally considering just getting a backpack with good pockets and converting it to be a diaper bag, but I LOVE this one! High five to you, my friend.
This is the one on my wish list by JuJuBe: Be Right Back model with the classic nautical anchor pattern. I love the idea of hands free carrying and not having the bag slide off my shoulder. Reviewed well on YouTube! =D>
I ordered this one from Target.com for less than $25. We'll see how it holds up but I think it's cute and it was cheap. For that price, even if it only lasts a year I'll be good.
^ This is my link (if you go to the page through this link, I get an extra entry). But you can also just go to Mommyshorts.com and search for Lily Jade.. it's at the bottom of "Dr. B on going from 1 to 2".
Bonus, Mommy Shorts is HILARIOUS! You should check out her posts anyway!
I have a pacifier case and bottle cooler from Juju Be - they are great. I purchased them a few years ago when we traveled abroad with my oldest daughter.
I've been using a plaid wool fabric purse from Dooney and Bourke since I had my first baby. It's getting too small for three kids, so I am on the look out for a new one.
I found this article on one of the new "it" bags for celebs- and it's not user expensive!
I had one in a larger size that someone gave me for high school graduation. I am now super bummed that my puppy chewed the handles off For once in my life I was ahead of the times!
But long champ has no compartments!!! Everything would just be a free for all mess in there! I love mine, but NOT for a diaper bag
I bought a cheap organizer to throw in mine that gives me a couple pockets. The more pockets the worse for me So this works well. In my bag, I'll keep an appropriate number of diapers, a small bag of wipes, a change of clothes, my nursing cover, and cellphone/wallet/keys (why I need a compartment for the most part). I guess some food pouches when baby is bigger. Maybe I'm wrong but I think the longchamp is perfect since it's light, stylish, and easy to clean.
Michael kors makes a large tote and I found an insert online (Amazon ) that you put inside and basically turns it into a diaper bag ! That way I'll use it after its done being a diaper bag I put it on my Christmas list

Just beware of totes as diaper bags, as the thin straps can be a killer on the shoulder! I have a large tote that I always use with an insert (otherwise things are too messy in there), and if I have to carry it for a long time it even makes a dent on my shoulder cause tote straps tend to be thin. For the reason I hardly find myself using it... Just food for thought.
@NachosAndPeaches, there are 2 JJBs that work as backpacks, BFF and BRB. BFF is similar to the PPB that can work as a tote or backpack. They have a few plain ones and several understated prints in addition to all the crazy ones that are out there.
I bought a lily jade Madeline bag last year with my youngest and I love it. It was my big splurge. It is a bag that I use as a brief case type for work then diaper bag the rest of the time.
This is the one I want!! I got a jujube with my son but I got tired of carrying around a "diaper bag." It's also annoying have to move back and forth between a purse and a diaper bag. With the lily jade bag, I can use it as my purse after I'm done needing a diaper bag. I figure I can never have too many big purses.
Also, I have a longchamp and I think it'd be awful as a diaper bag. You'll definitely need compartments for sippy cups, etc. or you'll have a wet bag since I have yet to find a sippy cup that doesn't leak.

LOVE our kids camelbak! Ditto that recommendation.
For those ladies looking at Lily Jade, I would also recommend looking at Storksak. They have extremely stylish diaper bags that I would have no problem using as a purse as well. I believe the style I was looking at was Bobby in black.

No! I'll definitely try it! Thanks! Maybe I'll throw it under the Christmas tree as an extra Christmas gift haha

I really like how it looks more like a stylish purse than a diaper bag. Hopefully it will work well for me. And the fact that its on sale right now made me happy.
Edit: I can't spell
I could totally use it as a normal purse aswell. Will check it out in the shop!
