Quick question, is it more common to have small bleedings when the placenta is anterior? I don't know if it's low lying or not (they never told me). I didn't bleed at all with DS and have only experienced small bleedings with my 2 mmc's so I'm getting a little nervous. Obviously I'll call the doc or go to the ER if this continue (or I if get really scared).

I don't believe so - this is my 4th anterior placenta. Never had any bleeding with the first two. With #3 I had light red spotting randomly twice (first tri), and with this one I had a couple days around 16ish wks I think it was where I had red blood in my discharge (not an alarming amount though) after no strenuous activity/sex. My OB wasn't alarmed since it wasn't too much, and said it could just be one of those variations-of-normal things. I don't think it would be related to an anterior placenta positioning though, and no one ever mentioned that it could be. Hope all is well

I felt this little guy around 17 weeks, which is later than I felt my two girls. He also seems less active than they were, so I started to tell myself that I'm finally going to get a calm baby. But it turns out that I just have an anterior placenta and no one has mentioned it til now. Darn.
@oceanchild thanks, I suspected it to be unrelated...luckily the bleeding seems to have stopped and I've not had any pain. And I've felt LO move more so that's very reassuring ❤️
