Hi everyone this is my first post :-)
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of ttc questions? Is there a thread for questions?
No, just ask. You can look into older posts if someone has been wondering about the same thing, but if you have additional question/thoughts it's best to make a new thread so we know its a new one.
I haven't started TTC yet, but as I understand the sperm can stay alive for a couple of days in the perfect environment. I believe it can live up to 5 days (some studies even suggest longer but again everything has to be perfect), so that might could have done the trick, but I wouldn't get my hope up. Even when you have sex during ovulation there is still a big chance you won't get pregnant. At the TTGP board there are more women who are experienced in temping and using FF and other apps. You might want to ask questions about that over there (but read the rules on top of the board first). And your always welcome here to ask questions or participate in discussions.
Hi everyone this is my first post :-) I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of ttc questions? Is there a thread for questions? I didn't want to start something new if there is a place already set up. This is my first time and I'm very new to all this. I am 31 and my husband is 29. I came off birth control in July and fell pregnant straight away without try actively trying. Sadly is ended and I had my D&C early September. We have waited a few cycles and started again this month. It has made me even more determine. I'm quite confused my fertility friend. So used another app but it change my window very sudden. Basically ended up BD 3 days before and 2 days after ovulation. Is there any chance we managed it this cycle?
Thank you so much. And if this is in the wrong place I can delete this post and write it in the right spot
Sorry for your loss! You're always welcome to ask questions here but many of yours will be answered by the "If you could tell a Newbie anything" pinned thread at the top of the Trying to Get Pregnant board. As a heads up, that board has some established culture and procedures so I'd lurk a few days before posting. It does sound like you hit your fertile window, but don't ask that question over there-any variation of "could I be pregnant" is poorly perceived and actually considered against the rules.
This is my first time checking out this board. DH and I are on month three. The first month I knew we wouldn't get pregnant, I just came off BC. The second month I got my hopes up, even though I said I wouldn't. And now we are here and my hopes are already as I wait to ovulate. Fx this month works for us!
Same exact situation! We went off of BCP in September with plans to NTNP. That lasted for about 30 seconds before we jumped all in. I didn't really start doing any research and was pretty ignorant to the whole process that first cycle (how do they not teach this stuff better in school?!) This month is our first cycle of active and informed trying. I too keep saying I'm not going to get my hopes up but who am I kidding? FX for you!

We just started trying last month and will try again this month if my tsets come back BFN. If we don't suceed we will be taking a 3-4 month hiatus due to family weddings next year interfering with possible due dates.
Hi yall! I just joined the site to learn more from others actively TTC. I am in the 2WW on CD 21! Not sure the exact day I ovulated so I'm either 5 or 6 DPO. Hopefully we hit the nail no the head this month! Great to meet you all and can't wait to chat further!
My husband and I have been straddling the fence since our miscarrage last June but now that we're finacially stable and looking at houses, I've been given the all clear for this month. Pre-conception appointment is Friday and my ovulation window opens Saturday. The best of luck to all TTC!
Hello every one! I'm pretty new to The Bump and have been on the TTGP board and some how stumbled upon this gem and love it! My DH and I were NTNP 3 months ago but then we both got way too excited and decided to TTC so we are on cycle #2 (actively) now woohoo! This will be #3 for me (2 from previous marriage) and DH has a DS ...so we're looking to complete our family with #4! I have PCOS although I'm choosing to try naturally the first year I'm trying very hard to not get my hopes up but we all know how that goes lol Not going to lie I'll feel like I have to learn everything all over again because my youngest is 7 years old, eeek! lol Any way I just wanted to pop in and say I love this board!
I'm heading into my 3rd cycle of trying. Just got my 3rd BFN this morning. I have another appointment with my doctor on December 2nd to check everything out and see if there are any issues that previous doctors didn't alert me to.
@BerkeVaughn so sorry to hear about the BFN. Keep us posted on what the doc says.
I feel like I might finally be able to say that we are "actively" trying. I'm off BC about 3 weeks now and have been charting carefully, but there has been nothing to chart, if you know what I mean. Temps all over the place, still trying to get used to the concept of CP, and CF has been just... nonexistent. I'm about halfway through TCOYF and got really excited this week when I started noticing some real changes! I'm so grateful that I've found TB and have started to gather information. I would really be driving myself crazy without you wonderful people.
TTC since August. Removed IUD in July. So far just a lot of symptoms but no positive news just yet. Keeping me fingers crossed and praying for some good news soon. It'll be the first time for us. We're totally green on a lot of subjects but excited none the less.
Have been off birth control/contraceptives for a little over a year now, but haven't started an infertitily treatments yet. Looking to start next year.
I'm just a lurker here... I will be TTC starting NEXT November... so I will be living vicariously through everyone's posts. Hoping the next year goes by fast and baby fever stays mild!
I went off the pill after our wedding in October with the idea of just NTNP for a few months and seeing what happened. Last cycle we didn't actually have sex during the fertile window but this cycle we did so its kind of nerve racking! NTNP is a nice idea in theory but I don't know how anyone just 'doesn't keep track'.. I'm a bit too OCD for that.

We are on month 4 ttc. I am also a super lurker lol I knew it wouldn't take at first since I'd been on BC for 13 years (estrogen free). Amazingly it's only taken till now for my af to regulate and it's more regular than it's ever been. So here's to hoping next month is it. Trying to not stress lol, that seems to be when it happens for most But I do have the bbt chart and thermometer on standby! Very afraid of PCOS with my irregular history, so I'm hoping it doesn't come down to a doctors visit at the 6 month ttc mark.

We don't wanna stress either and just see where it goes. I do try to track CM (which I can do anytime during the day, so less rules), but I don't wanna start temp already. Here at the BOTB we got a mix of TTC, NTNP and people who are waiting to TTC from a month till a year or more. So pretty much all kind of strategies. Good luck with your TTC.
Hi everyone. I'm lurking from TTGP. We're trying for my 4th, my husband's 1st. It's been 6 month but last month was the first time I started temping, my chart is a mess and not helpful at all this month. I know it could be worse, 6 months is relatively normal, but the process of high hopes and big let downs is really draining. Good luck on all of your TTC journies!
