Cold fruit for morning sickness??

I am 10 weeks as of yesterdat. I have had BAD MS. I mean, unable to walk, eat or function on any human level. Throwing up constantly, natious round the clock, can't stop sleeping and frankly... just feeling like death!! Ugh! BUT! I noticed a few days ago when I feel super nautious if I eat cold fruit it helps?? Even after throwing up it settles my stomach... Anyone else experience something like this and know why?? Wierd..

  • Dreyers fruit popsicles have been a nightly ritual for me. Fruit in general has been great, but the frozen aspect is divine.

  • Grapes do the most to calm my tummy. Maybe I'll try freezing some!

  • Thank GOD for Pineapples! Seriously, I'm the same way.
  • My last pregnancy cold watermelon was my savior. This time it seems to be cold pineapple and cold water with lots of lemon. It's the only way I can get any water down lately. How is your water intake? Maybe try infusing your water with whatever fruit is the most helpful right now and see if that makes you feel any better!
  • Same here- only things I can eat are cold citrus fruits, grapes, watermelon, etc.
  • YES TO WATERMELON! My saving grace, especially when I can't even get down fluids.

  • I'm sorry you are so sick!!! I think the sugars help settle the stomach and cold is soothing. In the mornings instead of eating crackers first thing, I've found an apple works better for me. I always feel better after eating fruit, I can't get enough. I wish I could live off fruit and cheese.

I just realized today that a cold strawberry cuts through my nausea and makes me feel instantly better! Pretty sure I heard hallelujahs when I had my epiphany after eating them for the second day in a row. I had tried ginger, lemon, preggie pops, saltines, protein -you name it with zero luck, but apparently for me it's cold strawberry every time. Now I'm keeping them on hand 24/7.
  • Clementines and watermelon have helped me!!

  • APPLES!!! Cold apple slices definitely help with my nausea.  I take some to work with me since my nausea starts up in the afternoon. It really helps me get through the day.

  • After reading this thread the other night, I couldn't stop thinking about fresh fruit popsicles. Finally, I made myself a bowl with frozen blueberries and plain yogurt, something I used to eat as a 'midnight snack' in college, but haven't had in such a long time. It was PERFECT. It hit the spot so well, and I bought a huge bag of blueberries yesterday. I seriously want to eat this for every meal!!!
  • I have been like this with citrus fruit. You would think the acidity would do the opposite but nope!!
