1st Tri Screen today

Everything on the ultrasound looked great!  Baby was wiggly (very!) and NT measurements were normal, and nasal bone was present.  Hurray!

I had a question about the blood part of the screen, for those who've done it.  I noticed the nurse putting about 3 drops of blood on each of the little circles, and I saw the writing below that said something about "use only one drop per circle, do not layer" or along those lines.  I mentioned it and kind of tried to politely ask about it, but she shrugged it off and said, "It's more important that I fill the circles."

Anyone have experience with this?  I have a hard time remembering from when I did it with my son over 3 years ago.  Will my blood results be skewed if she put more than one drop on each circle?

    They did that with mines too but not sure why only one layer is necessary

    We didn't have that kind of blood test (at least not in front of me anyway) so I'm not sure. I would say that the nurse probably does this a lot, so I wouldn't worry about it.

    I also had my 1st tri screen today but they weren't able to get proper measurements so I have to go back next week... ugh this is making me nervous, anyone else has had that experience?

    I wouldn't be too concerned! The baby has to be in a very particular position in order for them to properly measure the nucal fold and such. My first pregnancy it took a long time for the baby to cooperate. I imagine if it was lib longer they may have had us come back as to not push other appts late.
