My 1st app. is at 9 weeks. There will be blood work, an ultrasound and discussion of payment. My DH went with me to every app with DD. He can flex work time so he didn't miss any work. Otherwise he wouldn't have gone to all the apps. With our 1st baby, the 1st app went terribly (ending with a loss 2 weeks later) so I will definitely bring SO to this 1st app. and have the grandparents watch dd.
I found out I was pregnant just shy of 4 weeks and I'm 6 weeks today. I called the doctors office right after I found out to get in. They wouldn't see me until I was 6 weeks along, so my first appt is tomorrow. They told me they will be taking a blood sample. However my friend is also 6 weeks and at the same OBGYN and they took her in last week an got her blood sample, so she was 5 weeks. I don't really understand this entire process yet...why some get to go sooner then others, why some get bloodwork and others don't....I guess it's just different for each individual and their doctor office.
