Last night my husband and I watched "We Need to Talk About Kevin," and at one point he said, "is this movie supposed to be birth control?" Kind of late for that, but I recommend avoiding this one if you don't want to have nightmares about giving birth to a demon sociopath child.
Any other movies that freak you out when you're pregnant?

Don't get me wrong. It is a good movie, but it will make you cry, and when I say cry, I mean ugly cry. And when I say ugly cry, I actually mean fugly cry. I was not pregnant when I watched it the first time and I ugly cried twice that time. My husband did too, even though he blamed it on his allergies. I found a copy of it at a used book store (that also sells dvds and cds, etc) and I told my husband what I had found and he said he was allergic to that movie b/c it made his eyes water lol. I imagine that when we watch it again in the next few days I will probably fugly cry since hormones are added to the mix lol

The only thing better than Rosemary's Baby, the movie, is Rosemary's Baby, the book! One of my faves!
I know many Downton fans may have already seen it, but if you are planning on catching up on Downton Abbey before the new (last) season starts here in the States, be warned. I was doing a marathon during my bedrest while pregnant with my son and had just started season 3 when my OB strongly cautioned me against finishing the season. I followed his orders and switched to Grey's Anatomy (blech), but did end up finishing Downton Abbey just after my son was born. Oooh, man! There is an episode that is SUPER traumatic for all those who have just gone through labor or will shortly. I watched it with MH and it is literally the only time I have ever seen him sob and have to leave the room. He was probably more affected than I was because, as he put it, I looked and acted exactly like the character who gave birth...with a thankfully different outcome. I don't want to give anything away (with everyone Netflixing nowadays, you never know when it information qualifies as a spoiler alert), but just be aware.
ETA: got my seasons mixed up!
Oh and the episode this season with the twins. Ugly cried.
