I'm definitely buying a new Medela breast pump. And another rocker for the baby's room. And a woven wrap.
Assuming you're in the US, you know these are free now, right? You just order it through your insurance.
Does anyone know which type it covers? Electric or manual? Because the electric pumps can be extremely expensive.
Electric. I got a Medela that I absolutely LOVE! That was retailing for $250 in target at the time (2years ago now). The only thing I had to purchase was the hands free bra by choice. Everything else was 100% free. it was super easy to do and just showed up at my house a few days after applying.
To add to this... Two years ago with my first my pump was covered. In addition, my insurance covered anything nursing related. I got (for free) hands free bras, storage bags, pump parts, etc. I encourage everyone to check with your insurance before buying anything.
The pump is super dependent on insurance. I paid $140 a week for good insurance through my job and when it came time for the pump they only covered some shitty no name brand that literally broke the second time I used it. I gave up with it and paid for a good one myself.

Yes, but they don't offer the Medela model I want. Or at least they didn't last pregnancy. I ended up with a crap one that wouldn't pull a single drop of milk. Yes, it was free, but it didn't work for me. I KNOW the Medela works for me.
I need a bed and furniture for my toddler since we'll be using the crib and coordinating furniture for this baby, video monitor, just a few clothes unless it's a girl, some bottles and that's pretty much it.
My insurance covered an Ameda electric pump last time. I liked the Medela a lot better. I have different insurance now so I don't know what pump they cover.
Everything. My DS is 10 and we have nothing left. I let people borrow most the stuff I had- so it went through 6 kids. I never thought I'd be able to get pregnant again, so I didn't think to keep anything
Since our DS is only 5 months old now, I will only need a double stroller. Planning on buying a Baby Jogger city select double. If its a girl then I need clothes and I think thats it.
We kept everything so I will pretty much just be replacing bottle nipples, pacifiers, pump parts, etc. Diapers obviously. We will need clothes if its a boy.
I'll need some new maternity clothes since I weigh a little more than last time and the seasons are different.
We need a video camera with two screens so I can see both rooms at once. Maybe a double stroller undecided as DS wants to walk everywhere but never listens. And if it's a girl I will need new clothes and will probably splurge on new furniture because I love the cream vintage look.
I got rid of all my stuff because I didn't plan to have another so soon! We have a small apartment and I couldn't justify keeping it so now I'm sort of panicking because I have nothing except a crib, some carriers (woven wraps - I think I'll get a moby or something for newborn because stretchy is nice for a tiny baby) and like 3 items of clothing I kept out of sentimentality that are all super girly so they might not even get used if this isn't another girl.
I might actually play it by ear and buy things when baby's already here. My first was SUPER high needs and I ended up needing a high-end swing for her to sleep in (I know, it's not recommended, but neither is Mom becoming psychotic from sleep deprivation) and I'm hoping #2 might be more chill and I can just get away with a cheap bouncy chair or something? And obviously I need to buy all new clothes, but I know now that I don't need as much as I thought I did. And I'm buying some more cloth diapers because my daugher's stash isn't big enough to diaper 2 kids without doing laundry daily. I still have a lot of blankets and everything...oh, and I JUST got rid of my infant bucket seat, which I'm so mad about now! Hoping to get a hand-me-down from my sister so I don't have to go buy a car seat right away.
The only thing that I have from DD is a boppy and my breast pump. DD is almost 7 so we have been giving away most of her stuff to friends and family for years. We also can't use her crib because the wood was starting to split when we tried to convert it to a toddler bed.
2 angel babies to watch over us- bfp 3/16/13, c/p 3/27/13- bfp 6/27/13, c/p confirmed 7/4/13- We will always carry you in our hearts
Another carrier. Another crib but without the changing table so that it can be for DS1 and the new babe will get his old one so I have the changing table attached. But the one that converts like the current one does. And if it's a girl then clothes.
Right now I'm just looking at getting a double stroller. Kept most everything from DS or will borrow a few things. If this is a girl then I'll need clothes.
I want a sit-and-stand stroller and maybe a co-sleeper this time. And we'll need a new bed for big sister -- we'll turn her toddler bed back into a crib when it's time to move the baby out of our room.
Other than that and new nipples and pacifiers, not much. Lots of my daughter's baby clothes are gender-neutral, and I dragged my feet so long on taking them to consignment that they're still around to be reused. We have some swaddling blankets with girly designs, but I don't see any reason not to use them if this one's a boy. Doesn't bother us and it certainly won't bother him!
Most likely will need a crib or toddler bed. A new monitor depending where we move to. And I will likely buy new nipples for bottles, although I will be home breastfeeding most the time. Eta: Also I borrowed some stuff from SIL and she borrowed some from me. I will need to get my own boppy, but I need to look at what all she gives back, since her sister is pregnant too.
Mostly everything! My DS will be 4 when baby gets here so I really want a sit & stand stroller. Everything I had for DS was borrowed except for a swing and a bouncer. Clothes will be a big need for either gender because I didn't keep much unless I just loved it! MIL has nephews crib and dresser that I hope she lets us have if not we will need furniture too. I do have a rocker/glider that my mom used with me and I used with DS.
Maybe a new crib A better baby carrier A rock n play Clothes because the seasons are off/ esp if it's a boy Double stroller Our gear is gender neutral but the clothes are very girly
