Here are my rings. He picked out the engagement ring and then we had to order the wedding band separately since it wasn't part of a set. It was a lengthy process but I'm very happy with them
ETA: @krzyriver LOVE your rings! I love how the metal looks like it's overlapping on your engagement ring. Very pretty! Cute story too.

No clue why my picture is GIANT. Sorry ladies. @addyplusone If you edit the code there should be something along the lines of <img src="really long URL"> Probably with a <div></div> around it. If you ADD after the quotes but before the greater than sign width="250px" it will keep the proportions, but make it smaller. So you'd have

So, I just started wearing mine on a necklace around my neck with a charm my sister gave me last weekend because I've been taking them off every morning to swim, and then I usually just forget to put them back on. (I won't swim with them on my hand for fear of losing them even though they're tight these days...) All that means is I can't really get a good picture of them right now, so here's my wedding one as well:
It's an asscher cut (my FAVORITE) on the engagement ring, and I got to pick it out, which I absolutely LOVE! DH proposed with a ring pop. On April Fools' Day. True story.
My Husband picked out my ring with no help. I told him I wanted something simple.. but he said the ring is a sign of how much the man loves the woman-so the woman has no say so in it.... Either way, he did good.
I guess any of y'all who helped pick out your ring, or with small stones, or *gasp* without diamonds, or without any ring (oh the horror!!) should be concerned about how much your man loves you.

Oh crap. Mine is opal and amethyst, and it was cheeeeeap - like $150 cheap. And I picked it out! I'd post a pic, but unfortunately I've misplaced it (not lost, just can't remember the "safe" place where I put it). My marriage is doomed!!!

Oh no, you're right! Here I was thinking my that because my DH loved me, he understood my style and taste, not to mention that he listens to what I want. Oh well, I'm stuck with him now

@mrsdho11 omg I LOVE the Asscher cut. that's what I wanted. A solitaire. had a good diamond AND band picked out. but he said he'd pick the one he felt was the one. I gotta say, it's better than what I wanted...although I secretly wish it were an Asscher.
@KASG - Asscher cut makes me so happy because it's square (and I love regular shapes because SYMMETRY AND EVENNESS). And then it has all the smaller squares inside of it. Heaven! It was difficult to find one though-- I don't think any of the places we went to try on rings had any Asscher's in stock. We ended up getting it from Blue Nile because I could order it online!

OH DEAR GOD MY CENTER "DIAMOND" IS ACTUALLY CUBIC ZIRCONIA! OH THE HORROR!!!
(But shh...no one knows.) Also I have no fingers. Just nubs. Apparently.

Family ring... So there is no seperate engagement ring and wedding band. It's not big, and obviously was free to DH, but I refuse to even talk about getting a "new one"... This one means the world to me. Plus I love Vintage. Besides that, I'd rather retire like a rock star than have an expensive ring.
Edit to add: we would added a wedding band of the shape had not been so odd... Oh well! I love the oddness!

Mine was my grandmothers wedding ring, my mother's mother. I had given it to my dad so when he asked for his blessing he could give him the ring as an option. He chose to use it to propose. He got it cleaned and restored and proposed with it!!
On our 5 year wedding anniversary we will likely buy me a new set, but this one holds a lot of sentimental value. Now I wear her band as well.
All these rings are so beautiful and unique! I just took this photo on our coffee table and it reminded me of how long it's been since I cleaned them. I wanted to show the "Lil White Dove" engraved in my band. The song "Running Bear" by Johnny Preston is significant to our relationship. So obv his band is engraved "Running Bear". DH picked it out without any input from me, because I had no clue he was planning to propose. I love the simplicity of the style and cut.
DH proposed in Cancun, Mexico. Picked the ring out himself. Both are keepers
If we had not gone the family ring route... This is exactly what I had described to my hubby when we vegan discussing ring taste
Beautiful ring!!

Lmao. I was so shocked after I got engaged by how many women told me that I should give my ring back and demand a diamond. One of my coworkers even said that if he really loved me, he would've spent more money. I enjoyed her idiocy so much that I admitted to her that I actually paid for my own engagement ring. My brother in law gave it to hubby, but the band was too small and had to be scrapped. So it had a whole new band put on and hubby didn't have the cash to pay for it. He told me I could either wait...or I could pay for it myself. I hadn't even seen the ring yet so I was impatient and gave him the money. My coworkers eyes almost bulged right out of her head when I told her that.
@AmyNinSD Thank you! I adore my rings. They're not very flashy, but they're very me. He did good. Lol
OK, I'll share DH picked mine out after I gave him hints I wanted a round diamond with a swirly band.
I would have NEVER picked out this ring, but as soon as I started wearing it, it was perfect. I work with my hands all day, and I love that this ring has a deep setting so it never snags on anything.
Since the band is so detailed, we didn't buy a wedding band, it would have been to busy.

Way late to this, but it's 1am here and I can't sleep so I'm lurking. DH picked it out-by using pinterest photos. Took this while one our first day of our honeymoon in Ogunquit, ME. And yes, it's rose gold, and I adore it!
Hi ladies! I'll join this party because I LOVE all the bling and sparkles!!!!!!
My husband has this custom made for me but I did specify the cut of the diamond I wanted (cushion) the wedding band I picked out. I guess he must really love me hu? LOL
Here's mine! Love it. Hubby picked out the engagement ring completely on his own. All he knew was I wanted round cut. I picked out my band though. Obsessed
ETA: My only request was for real, natural blue sapphire. I didn't want diamonds. I didn't mean to offend anyone with my post... my apologies. I just thought it was sweet that my husband thought that when he got my ring.
ETA: And it doesn't mean that the ring has to be expensive... the price tag isn't what shows the worth of a mans love.
He meant it as the thought that he put into picking a ring is what shows how much he loves a woman. it could be a family ring, or a tattoo ring... its the thought that he put into it that he was referring to.
