This is what our LO will come home in. It's in the 60-70's during the day and 50's at night so still kind of warm. She should be here next week or the week after (will be induced by 38 weeks due to a cord abnormality, low fluid and my borderline IUGR). I would post pics of the actual clothes but those have been vacuum packed in my hospital bag since my 5th PTL scare at 34 weeks!! Also bringing two other onesies just in case.
Curious what size folks are packing? I'm thinking I'll pack both "newborn" & 0-3 just in case. I haven't 100% decided. I think my sd would like to go shopping for the outfit so I may ask her if she wants to go do a little shopping together on Monday.
I'm only packing newborn because my LO is measuring below the normal 25-75 percentile range in growth. I've only been able to pack on 7-8 pounds at 36 weeks and she's dropping in percentile/borderline IUGR so if she does get to go home with us when I'm discharged from the hospital anything but newborn would be too big. Preemie clothing is too small because my doctor said she'll be a little over 5 pounds if they can get me to the dates they are aiming for. If I was having a normal pregnancy I would pack newborn and 0-3 just in case the LO was too big for newborn size clothing. I still look at newborn clothing and can't imagine near full term/full term babies sometimes even swimming a bit in those; but FTM here!
I have a few outfits packed, but none of them are super special, I just think they are super cute! I am going to take his first photo in a Harry Potter onesie and Gryffindor socks that were knitted for him (and possiblebly a matching hat) and I might have my wand near by! I'm going to try and do this at the hospital. I will then just dress him in something warm to come home!
@stephaniearthurs so unrelated to this thread but Harry potter has been my savING grace in this pregnancy. I've been rereading all the books. I'm on the order of the Phoenix now

me too! I was on bed rest at the beginning of my pregnancy and they saved my mind from going nuts!
I chose this with a pink hat. I think with my luck she'll end up having a blowout on it or something haha. I also packed a colorful preemie outfit.
I was gifted the same sleeper but in 9 mo Also totally expecting a blowout too! A friend of mine just had her baby and he had a massive blowout on their ride home!!
I haven't decided yet. I had an outfit picked out then with the weather getting colder we got a fleece sleeper she may come home in instead, then my mom bought the cutest little take home outfit and it became a top contender. I'm thinking we'll take a couple and decide based on weather.
I'll only be packing newborn though. DS was over 8lbs and 22 inches long and newborn was still a bit loose on him. Since having difficulty with him on size my OB wants to get this little one out before she's as big so I really can't foresee her being in 0-3 yet. Depending on the growth scan Monday and some other factors, my mom has even mentioned possibly getting a couple things in preemie sizes that could be washed and taken to the hospital if it looks like they'll be needed.
All that said, if you're worried about size and don't want to pack multiple outfits, side snap shirts seem to have a wider range. Carter's and Old Navy also have knit legging type pants with an ankle cuff that can be turned up to shorten them and they seem to have a bit wider range as well.

Harry Potter is good for all! I would normally re-read the books once a year, but my attention span is that of s gnat lately and I can even read a magazine!
We have a few in different sizes. The two below are my favorite and I hope to bring her home in the first one that's personalized. They are sized 0-3, so I also packed two of my favorite onesies from Carters in size newborn in case she comes early or they were wrong about her measuring big.

Adorable! Where did you find the new girl in town outfit?

For DD, I packed both newborn and 0-3 months outfits. She was over 8 lbs and the newborn outfit was still big on her.
This is what i have so far. I am taking a couple basic pinks one as well. One nb and one 0-3. She was 6 pounds 3 oz at 36 week scan. So i imagine she will be like my other girls between 7-8 pounds at birth. I hope anyway lol

LOVE IT! Our son will be named Ewan Severus so I get the love!
DH is a huge TN football fan and insisted she come home in TN... We compromised with a cute orange print. My grandma taught me to sew last week and we made this together. It will be a nice keepsake for our little girl
