No way, I got KU my first month of trying, so was only on the TTGP board for about one week and I was like, "Whoa. These girls are super mean!" I admit, people can ask really, really dumb questions, but why do 20 people need to reply telling them how dumb they are??? It was just a week on the TTGP board, and I was really interested in the content, but I felt like I was walking on eggshells around so many angry, angry women! I've appreciated it that on this board people have been pretty nice even when the OPs asked inappropriate or just dumb questions.
That being said, I agree, I don't like intro posts. But I thought it was etiquette that you were SUPPOSED to introduce yourself??? (I'm pretty sure I read that on one of the many long pinned posts at the top of the TTGP boards that the mean ladies demand that everyone read OR ELSE). I introduced myself here and on the TTGP board because I thought it was rude not to!
Confession: I liked being able to snark a little about how snarky the TTGP girls were. I feel that this must mean that I am a very twisted individual.
@TyrannosaurusBex I'm really happy for you that you got your BFP your first month trying but a lot of women are not that lucky. As someone who has lost four in a row and been around these boards a bit, I can tell you TTGP is a fantastic group of women. It's also bad form to call out another board. Each board has its own feel which is why lurking is encouraged. If you like snark, just enjoy it ;-)
Anyhow, my best advice to all is to put on big girl panties and hold on for the ride. Often the people that may come off as "rude" are the most knowledgeable and helpful. To me, honest and straight forward feedback is so much nicer than fake glitter and rainbows.

Introduce yourself before posting or commenting on a board. ^found what you were talking about right in the guidelines. So, you weren't wrong about that. I think it was the 3rd bullet.
Maybe some people need to read the dont section too. *snooty undertone*

@Everycol0r ACK! (I do appreciate your funny response!)
@BostonBaby1 I am sorry for your losses. I did not mean to imply that the TTGP does not have fantastic women on it. I mostly meant to say that I disagree with the opinion that people on this board are not snarky enough. (That being said, I did not mean to imply that the individuals who think this are not entitled to their opinion - they can continue want more snark on this board, and I will continue to want less snark on TTGP). I do see your point that it's not nice to say mean things about another board on this board. At first I didn't get it because I was responding to posters who were saying mean things about this board while praising TTGP, so I didn't understand why it was acceptable to do that but then not for me to do the opposite, but then I realized, "Oh, but they were saying it right on the actual board, which is different." So, I apologize for doing so.

We live and learn. It takes some time to adjust to the culture of TB and the boards. But I just wanted you to know that TTGP is amazing (even if it's too much snark for you,) and if you ever do end up TTC for longer in the future, perhaps for a sibling, TTGP is an amazing group.

I do not see this "saying mean things about this board while praising TTGP" anywhere. Saying snark can *sometimes* make a mundane post more interesting is not saying mean things about this bmb.
@Taymiller absolutely possible. The Admins need to sticky/pin it to the top of the bmb. I'm waiting on them hopefully to sticky my search function thread.

Who wants to start the one and only intro post?
You could certainly start it if you'd like. If you look at my Please Use The Search Function thread, you can see i tagged them all and asked for it to be stickied. You may have better luck in the am or even better yet on Monday. The BGs are slow sometimes on the weekends.
Awesome thanks! I am weird and don't like starting new threads haha. I only had like two with my last bmb. I guess I am just a puss.
No way!!! Not a puss... You just need to get more comfortable. That'll happen with time. In any case, somebody else can start one or if they pin my other thread, I'm happy to start it. I just would hate to look like the person that thinks that she runs the board ;-)

Thanks for starting this @SparkySunshine
