Edited to clarify: Just realizing maybe you're talking about if you take it off the support stand? You can't detach it from the stand and just have the top part in the bed or on the floor, it would be at a (dangerous) slant then because there is a metal arm underneath and it won't lie flat. So you have to use it as it is intended, on its support leg, not detach it. Is that what you were talking about?
@maureenmce yes I have it in person and no I'm not trying to detach. So on mine, there is a slight slant (the side with the buttons is slightly more down than the other side) so it looks like baby would roll towards that side. I got it because of the great safety reviews, but now on further research it is looking like other reviews mention this problem. I'm wondering if I should try to call Halo.
@ChrissyD1203 - Yeah, I'd definitely give them a call! Based on what I was reading about it today, safety is a big priority with the company, so hopefully they'll be able to help you fix the problem and make sure it's flat. Or, worst case, exchange it for a new bassinet.
If you don't mind - let me know what they say, if it's a common problem, what causes it, etc. We don't have that issue now, but I'd love to know if there's any way to prevent it in the future, if it's something that happens a lot.
Yes I'll post a pic. Away for work but will post when I get home this weekend. Was just in a BBB though and the display was also slanted. I'm going to call Halo this weekend will let you all know what they say.
I just met the halo people at a mommycon and there were no slants in the demo bassinests they had set up. They were also very safety conscious so I'm sure they'll replace it for you.
